  • Help Creating a Google Analytics Funnel for Check out process

    have a funnel question. I am currently working on tracking (through GA) guest and logged in member activity once they get to my sites shopping cart. But need help with setting up funnels. Specifically to see; Total sales Logged in member total sales List item Guest member sales The urls associated to the check out proces are: Logged in members /cart (arriving to checkout) /checkout (checking out as a logged in member) /checkout/confirmation (thank you - confirmed sale) Guest members - /cart (arriving to checkout) - /checkout-guest (checking out as a guest) - /checkout/confirmation (thanks you - confirmed sale) I've tested the funnels set up for the above with 9 transactions. But the end maths doesn't seem to line up. Total sales funnel shows 9 completed transactions when only tracking these to urls: - /cart - /checkout/confirmation Which is great - cause it's working Logged in member sales show a total of 9 completed transactions based on each step of the logged in url steps (above) being tracked in a funnel. Not good because this number should be 3. Guest check out funnel (see guest steps above) shows 9 as well. What the?!?!?!? The results I am looking for should reflect the following - total sales = 9, logged in members = 3, guest members = 6 Is there any way to set these urls up so that the funnels report the correct results - or do I need to changed the urls and provide logged in members and guest stand alone purchase confirmation pages (this would mean I can not track total sales which combine results from both streams)? Any knowledge in this area is welcome. Thanks.

  • Creating models in 3ds max and exporting as .x for XNA

    I have created a few models in 3DS max which contains textures, geometry and animations . .however .fbx doesnt really support textures.. So im planning to use .x format.. I have seen a few converters in pandasoft but once i unzip the file and place the .dle file in the plugins folder of 3D max gives an error saying failed to initialize.. Is there any way to convert my .max models into .x format ? ? I dont know blender so that isnt an option. . I'm currently using 3ds max 2013 After adding the .3DS object content importer. . i get the following error:

  • Help with creating bootable usb from iso

    --All this is about terminal-- I know some of you will laugh, but I'm trying to install Arch Linux, since I want to learn as much as I can about linux system and how it works. I want to be an expert (maybe in 1000 years, but that's okay :)). The problem is that even tho I know how to do some stuff under linux I'm having a hard time with those names about hard drives, usb, cd, blah blah and how to access them. Big introduction and no question yet, but the purpose is for you to see where I'm standing and give me as many details as possible. And here's the question: How can I put the .iso file in a usb that will run on computers startup and allow me to install Arch linux? Details as to how to turn my pc on and hit F8 or whatever can be discarted lmao :) Ty in advance.

  • Creating Parent-Child Relationships in SSRS

    As I have been working on SQL Server Reporting Services reports the last couple of weeks I ran into a scenario where I needed to present a parent-child data layout.  It is rare that I have seen a report that was a simple tabular or matrix format and this report continued that trend.  I found that the processes for developing complex SSRS reports aren’t as commonly described as I would have thought.  Below I will layout the process that I went through to create a solution. I started with a List control which will contain the layout of the master (parent) information.  This allows for a main repeating report part.  The dataset for this report should include the data elements needed to be passed to the subreport as parameters.  As you can see the layout is simply text boxes that are bound to the dataset. The next step is to set a row group on the List row.  When the dialog appears select the field that you wish to group your report by.  A good example in this case would be the employee name or ID. Create a second report which becomes the subreport.  The example below has a matrix control.  Create the report as you would any parameter driven document by parameterizing the dataset. Add the subreport to the main report inside the row of the List control.  This can be accomplished by either dragging the report from the solution explorer or inserting a Subreport control and then setting the report name property. The last step is to set the parameters on the subreport.  In this case the subreport has EmpId and ReportYear as parameters.  While some of the documentation on this states that the dialog will automatically detect the child parameters, but this has not been my experience.  You must make sure that the names match exactly.  Tie the name of the parameter to either a field in the dataset or a parameter of the parent report. del.icio.us Tags: SQL Server Reporting Services,SSRS,SQL Server,Subreports

    I'm designing a level editor for game, and I'm trying to create sort of an 'event' system so I can chain together things. If anyone has used RPG Maker, I'm trying to do similar to their system. Right now, I have an 'EventTemplate' class and a bunch of sub-classed 'EventNodes' which basically just contain properties of their data. Orginally, the IAction and IExecute interface performed logic but it was moved into a DLL to share between the two projects. Question: How can I abstract logic from data in this case? Is my model wrong? Isn't cast typing expensive to parse these actions all the time? Should I write a 'Processor' class to execute these all? But then these actions that can do all sorts of things need to interact with all sorts of sub-systems.

  • Security Issues When Creating Pages in SharePoint

    I was speaking (or rather IM'ing) with Ben Collins a while back and he came across an interesting problem that I wanted to document for the sake of posterity.  If you have a SharePoint user who has permissions to create a page in a page library, but that user is having security issues trying to actually make a page, then it the security issue may be related to their access rights on the master page gallery.  Users who create pages must have at least restricted read access to the master page gallery for page creation to succeed. That is one of the joys of working in SharePoint. if something doesn't show up there is usually a good but obscure reason for it, but SharePoint certainly won't tell you outright why it is.  All I have to say is that I'm glad he ran into that issue and not me.

    I have moved to Asia where my internet connection is censored and I'd like to check my messages from social sites which happen to be blocked. As virtually all proxy servers are blocked in this country, I've decided to attempt to roll my own encrypted proxy server. Please note, the key word here is encrypted—if the sniffer sees anything like f@c3b00k or w:k:p3d:ia travelling down the wire I'm had. I have a website hosted with GoDaddy (Windows with PHP 5.2 & IIS 7). Is there any way I can set up an encrypted proxy through this service? If so, how, and what open source tools are available to use?

    I am trying to create a backup of my website for free. I just want to have a backup of my website, including not only all files and the configuration but also the databases. I mean, a full backup. If it can be done automatically, it would be better. I feel there are better ways than using the cpanel to achieve that (actually, I believe sometimes web hosters does not have any cpanel). I read the following on how to do it: Automatically mirror the entire contents and configuration of your main server to a secondary backup server on a completely separate network in a different data centre. Use RSync, FXP, cPanel voodoo, or whatever method you wish to automate syncing. That is why I installed Rsync Daemon which is an alternative to SSH for remote backups. I configured it but the test went wrong.   • Blender - creating bones from transform matrices

    Notice: this is for the Blender 2.5/2.6 API. Back in the old days in the Blender 2.4 API, you could easily create a bone from a transform matrix in your 3d file as EditBones had an attribute named "matrix", which was an armature-space matrix you could access and modify. The new 2.5+ API still has the "matrix" attribute for EditBones, but for some unknown reason it is now read-only. So how to create EditBones from transform matrices? I could only find one thing: a new "transform()" function, which takes a Matrix too. Transform the the bones head, tail, roll and envelope (when the matrix has a scale component). Perfect, but you already need to have some values (loc/rot/scale) for your bone, otherwise transforming with a matrix like this will give you nothing, your bone will be a zero-sized bone which will be deleted by Blender. if you create default bone values first, like this: bone.tail = mathutils.Vector([0,1,0]) Then transform() will work on your bone and it might seem to create correct bones, but setting a tail position actually generates a matrix itself, use transform() and you don't get the matrix from your model file on your EditBone, but the multiplication of your matrix with the bone's existing one. This can be easily proven by comparing the matrices read from the file with EditBone.matrix. Again it might seem correct in Blender, but now export your model and you see your animations are messed up, as the bind pose rotations of the bones are wrong. I've tried to find an alternative way to assign the transformation matrix from my file to my EditBone with no luck.

    I have two Servers, Server X (IP 192.168.1.1) and Server Y (IP 192.168.1.2), both of them are ubuntu 9.1 i have created varnish load balancer on them for my drupal website (pressflow 6.22) I have mounted a directory of imagecache from server X to Y as below @X:/etc/exports == /var/www/proj/htdocs/sites/default/files/images 192.168.1.2(rw,async,no_subtree_check) @Y:/etc/fstab == 192.168.1.1:/var/www/proj/htdocs/sites/default/files/images var/www/proj/htdocs/sites/default/files/images nfs defaults 0 0 also i made this on server X X:/var/www/proj/htdocs/sites/default/files$ chmod -R 777 images i tried to touch, rm, vim, and cat files in images directory that has been mounted on Y and everything went fine. now, ALWAYS when server Y's imagecache tries to create an image in images directory, the image is created with ZERO byte file size. anyone face the same before? any idea of how to fix this problem or what might cause it? It does at pretty much every other angle. The problem is always reproduced here, when hit off the wall into those bubbles. It also exists in other cases, but I'm not sure what triggers it.     First, I'd like for the various special devices for different floppy capacities (like /dev/fd0u720 etc.) to be available. I tried to adapt some udev rules I found online. I tried this, which I saved as /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-floppy.rules: # change floppy device ownership and permissions # default permissions are 640, which prevents group users from having write access # first fix primary devices (/dev/fd0, /dev/fd1, etc.) # also change group ownership from disk to floppy SUBSYSTEM=="block", KERNEL=="fd[0-9]*", GROUP="floppy", MODE="0660" # next recreate secondary devices (/dev/fd0u720, /dev/fd0u1440, etc.) SUBSYSTEM=="block", KERNEL=="fd[0-9]*", ACTION=="add", RUN+="create_floppy_devices -c -t $attr{cmos} -m %M -M 0660 -G floppy $root/%k" But to no avail. It seems the create_floppy_devices script isn't provided with 12.10. How do I obtain it? Second: I'm using MATE, and whenever I log in I get a message box saying it tried to mount the drive but failed. How do I disable this? Third (which is probably related to the second): Whenever there's a disk in the drive, the motor won't stop spinning. If I do a mdir of it, after it returns, the motor stops, and then starts again. I suspect there's some process in MATE doing this. UPDATE: For CentOS 6 (who does have a create_floppy_devices program) the following rules file worked.
