  • iPhone: Execute code after animation of UIDeviceOrientation change finishes

    Not sure if I can explain this correctly, but I am trying to execute a method device orientation animation finishes. Right now I have [[NSNotificationCenter defaultCenter] addObserver:self selector:@selector(didRotate:) name:UIDeviceOrientationDidChangeNotification object:nil];, but that triggers instantly. Is there a way to have it call didRotate after the view rotation animation is completed? Thanks!

    Hi, I am using busybox shell to execute a script which the bash executes when i boot linux using the nfs. Please let me know the correct alternative for this line. cur_major=$((0x`stat -c %t $dev 2>/dev/null`)) The busybox throws in an error saying "0x" syntax error, which i understand is the problem with the syntax of this line.     I have declared AdoConnection : TADOConnection; and successfully connected to the default "mysql" database (so, no need to pass that code). Now, taking baby steps to learn, I would like to AdoConnection.Execute('SHOW DATABASES', cmdText); which seems to work ok, in the sense that it doesn't throw an exception, but I am such a n00b that I don't know how I can examine the result of the command :-/ Halp!

    In SQL Server 2008 Management studio, I can hit F5 to execute everything in the current query window. I can also highlight a query, and hit F5 to run that highlighted query. Instead of having to highlight a query, is there a way I can run the single query my cursor is on, or run a query my cursor is on up to a the first ';'?

    I have been trying to execute a MS SQL Server stored procedure via JDBC today and have been unsuccessful thus far. The stored procedure has 1 input and 1 output parameter. With every combination I use when setting up the stored procedure call in code I get an error stating that the stored procedure couldn't be found. I have provided the stored procedure I'm executing below (NOTE: this is vendor code, so I cannot change it). set ANSI_NULLS ON set QUOTED_IDENTIFIER ON GO ALTER PROC [dbo].[spWCoTaskIdGen] @OutIdentifier int OUTPUT AS BEGIN DECLARE @HoldPolicyId int DECLARE @PolicyId char(14) IF NOT EXISTS ( SELECT * FROM UniqueIdentifierGen (UPDLOCK) ) INSERT INTO UniqueIdentifierGen VALUES (0) UPDATE UniqueIdentifierGen SET CurIdentifier = CurIdentifier + 1 SELECT @OutIdentifier = (SELECT CurIdentifier FROM UniqueIdentifierGen) END The code looks like: CallableStatement statement = connection .prepareCall("{call dbo.spWCoTaskIdGen(?)}"); statement.setInt(1, 0); ResultSet result = statement.executeQuery(); I get the following error: SEVERE: Could not find stored procedure 'dbo.spWCoTaskIdGen'.     Does SqlServer has to start a Scan to execute a stored procedure? In Sql Profiler I can see this: RPC Starting ( exec sp_Edu3_SelectExamSession @ExamSessionId=N'AccessCode39361814' ) Scan:Started Scan:Started Scan:Started RPC Completed ( exec sp_Edu3_SelectExamSession @ExamSessionId=N'AccessCode39361814' ) Can I somehow see what's happening in the Stored Procedure? Different queries are done in that SP, but they do not seem to appear in Sql Profiler (maybe I need to check some more events?) The Scan:Started are probably scans by the queries in the sp? Or not?

Is this the best way to do this, or is there some kind of nifty jQuery method that you prefer?

How does the Proc in the if condition of the caches_action get executed for the caches_action method. for example caches_action :show, :if=Proc.new{|x| something} what i dont get its how does this get called. I know i can execute a proc defined as proc= Proc.new by proc.call so i dont understand how this gets called. Second how do I pass conditions like if logged_in? I'd appreciate any help on this
