  • Execute codes in a different page but remain on the same actual php page

    I have a complicated problem here..I have codes to send mail using PEAR which i have tested in a php page called testmail.php. Now i have my actual application an a page called Cart.php where i have a button called Place Order. When i click on this button, it actually redirects to a url called : http://localhost/final/index.php?OrderSuccessful which actually displays a message on the page and sends an email. The problem is that when i put the code for email in Cart.php, i get errors. But when i put the url http://localhost/final/testmail.php it actually works. So i was thinking, is there a way to execute the codes from that testmail.php by remaining on the page Cart.php? include('Mail.php'); $mail = Mail::factory("mail"); $headers = array("From"=>"[email protected]", "Subject"=>"Your order has been placed "); $body = "lol"; $mail->send("[email protected]", $headers, $body); I get the error Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated

    PHPUnit can execute script like this: phpunit --log-junit classname filename.php (i need the XML report , for my continus integreation platform) but my problem is that i work with a MVC framework and all pages are called through pathofproject/indexCLI.php module=moduleName class=className ect with 3 arguments in total(when i use the shell commande and path/index.php argum=... with url) so i cant call phpunit pathofproject/indexCLI.php module=moduleName class=className . So i think to a lot of solution , i hope you can help me to use one of them. first how can i use phpunit commande with this type of calling, because i cant do it because he is waiting a classname and a filename (default comportement) if it possible !! when i call the same link in shell like this : php path/indexCLI.php module="blabla" ect ... i have the result of assertion in my consol , but cant use XML Junit option , can i do it ? my last solution is to call the link in a navigator like mozzila , but i dont know how to say to phpunit runner to chose XML report and not HTML report. the aim for me , is to have a XML report .

    Here a simplified database layout One condo can hold multiple properties (flats, garage boxes, etc) - 1->n relationship One owner can have multiple properties in the same condo and properties can have more than one owner (m->n changed to 1->n with the junction table) One condo can have multiple owners - 1->n Some additional clarification: A owner is a member of a condo. A condo is made of properties belonging to owners BUT a owner is not linked to a property directly (there can be no relation between a property and a owner for a certain time BUT there will ALWAYS be a relation between a owner and a condo). Reason for this: the agent managing the condo will first create a list of owners and a list of properties. It is only later thet he will "link" each property to one or multiple owners (or inversely) I'm quite new to SQL. What SQL statements should I execute to: SELECT, for a specific condo (WHERE condition), the properties and their respective owners (all properties should be listed even if owners are null) SELECT, for a specific condo (WHERE condition), the owners along with their properties (all owners should be listed even if properties are null) UPDATE / DELETE existing owners (I'm uncertain about how to handle the operation for the junction tables. Should I first check if there is an entry in the junction table or not ?) UPDATE / DELETE existing properties (same concern) INSERT new owners (should I use two different SQL statements depending if the owner should be linked to a property or NOT - IF condition ?) INSERT new properties (same question as above) Could you be as clear and generic as possible so that it can be reused ? :-)

    I'm writing a program for an exercise that will read data from a file and format it to be readable. So far, I have a bit of code that will separate a header from the data that goes under it. Now, the for-loop in this program doesn't execute, and I can't figure out why. Does anybody know?

The outer loop processes the results of another query, and the inner loop is the results of the prepared statement query. Specifically, in one example I ran with 3 ids for the foreach, the first id was processed correctly, the second was processed incorrectly (matches were not found in the inner loop even though they existed), and then the third was processed correctly. Is there something wrong with the prepared statment function calls in the sequence I am doing above, or is this an invalid way to use the results of the prepared statement? Thanks.

  • Job queueing and execute Mechanism

    In my webservice all method calls submits jobs to a queue. Basically these operations take long time to execute, so all these operations submit a Job to a queue and return a status saying "Submitted". Then the client keeps polling using another service method to check for the status of the job. Presently, what I do is create my own Queue, Job classes that are Serializable and persist these jobs (i.e, their serialized byte stream format) into the database. So an UpdateLogistics operation just queues up a "UpdateLogisticsJob" to the queue and returns. I have written my own JobExecutor which wakes up every N seconds, scans the database table for any existing jobs, and executes them. Note the jobs have to persisted because these jobs have to survive app-server crashes. This was done a long time ago, and I used bespoke classes for my Queues, Jobs, Executors etc. But now, I would like to know has someone done something similar before? In particular, Are there frameworks available for this ? Something in Spring/Apache etc Any framework that is easy to adapt/debug and plays well along with libraries like Spring will be great.

    Hi, I am trying to execute a program from the Java code. If I remove the "> OutputFileNames.txt" from the getRuntime().exec() method, all the file names are printed on the console just fine. But I need it to be printed to a file. Also, if I change the command to: Process p = Runtime.getRuntime().exec( "cmd \c dir > OutputFileNames.txt"); and run it on Windows, it runs and prints the results in the file perfectly fine too. I have read the other posts for executing another application from Java but none seemed to relate to my problem. I would really appreciate any help I can get. Thanks,

  • jQuery .load() call doesn't execute javascript in loaded html file

    This seems to be a problem related to Safari only. I've tried 4 on mac and 3 on windows and am still having no luck. What I'm trying to do is load an external html file and have the Javascript that is embedded execute. The code I'm trying to use is this: $("#myBtn").click(function() { $("#myDiv").load("trackingCode.html"); }); trackingCode.html looks like this (simple now, but will expand once/if I get this working): <html> <head> <title>Tracking HTML File</title> <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript"> alert("outside the jQuery ready"); $(function() { alert("inside the jQuery ready"); }); </script> </head> <body> </body> </html> I'm seeing both alert messages in IE (6 & 7) and Firefox (2 & 3). However, I am not able to see the messages in Safari (the last browser that I need to be concerned with - project requirements - please no flame wars). Any thoughts on why Safari is ignoring the Javascript in the trackingCode.html file? Eventually I'd like to be able to pass Javascript objects to this trackingCode.html file to be used within the jQuery ready call, but I'd like to make sure this is possible in all browsers before I go down that road. Can someone Help throwing some light on this case. EDIT: I want to open a file from Resource directory @ C:\Users\Administrator\Documents\Visual Studio 2010\Projects\FastFix\FastFix\Resources Which would be included in my project when i am going to publish it is going to run as a standalone application without installation.

    Some libraries offer the ability to separate setup and execution, esp if the setup portion has undesirable characteristics such as unbounded latency. If the program needs to have this reflected in its structure, then it is natural to have: void setupXXX(...); // which calls the setup stuff void doXXX(...); // which calls the execute stuff The problem with this is that the structure of setupXXX and doXXX is going to be quite similar (at least textually -- control flow will prob be more complex in doXXX). Wondering if there are any ways to avoid this. Once it's completed, they'll see all the output from the application which includes progress details. Not very useful. Therefore I'm trying to find a sample that shows the best way to: Start an external application (hidden) Monitor its output periodically as it displays information about it's progress (so I can extract this and present a nice percentage bar to the user) Determine when the external application has finished (so I can't continue with my own applications execution) Kill the external application if necessary and detect when this has happened (so that if the user hits "cancel", I get take the appropriate steps) Does anyone have any recommended code snippets?

I have set up Notepad++ to open the Python script in the command prompt when I press F8 but all Swedish characters looks messed up when opening in CMD but perfectly fine in e.g IDLE. This simple example code: #!/usr/bin/env python #-*- coding: UTF-8 -*- print "åäö" Looks like this. As you can see the output of the batch file I use to open Python in cmd below shows the characters correctly but not the Python script above it. How do I fix this?   • Java, user input to the command line when using Runtime.getRuntime().exec(command);

    I dont think this is possible, but I have been using: Process p = Runtime.getRuntime().exec(command); to run commands on the command line, but now I have come accross a situation where the command I am running part way through will ask for some user input, for example a username. This can not be resolved by a argument to the command that is being exec, is there any way I can pass the username to the same command line instance and continue? Thanks in advance.

User runs LOADER.EXE program LOADER.EXE downloads another EXE but keeps it all in memory without saving it to disk Runs the downloaded EXE just as it would if it were executed from disk, but does it straight from memory I've seen a few applications like this, and I've never seen an example or an explanation of how it works. Does anyone know? Another example is having an encrypted EXE embedded in another one. It gets extracted and decrypted in memory, without ever being saved to disk before it gets executed. I've seen that one used in some applications to prevent piracy.
