  • Expression blend for WPF 4 release date

    I understand that Visual Studio 2010 is being released 12 April, but does anyone know when Expression Blend for .NET and WPF 4 is being released? I have the beta, but it is pretty buggy and it crashes a lot. I have not had much luck searching for the release date, so any help would put my mind at ease. Cory

  • Users need Silverlight 4.0 for Expression Blend?

    I have Visual Studio 2010 beta 2 installed and Expression Blend Preview for .NET 4. When I began to debug it, it asked me to install Silverlight 4.0 beta. So now I am wondering if people who are going to view my application need to install Silverlight 4.0 instead of Silverlight 3.5. If so, how can I downgrade from 4.0 to 3.5?

    I'm unable to find the .NET FCL built-in concept of precedence to leverage while constructing Expression Trees. Ref System.Linq.Expressions Namespace. Is this something that must be handled manually in code, or is it somehow implicit and I'm not recognizing it (e.g. maybe through helper methods or classes)? I want to apply it to math operations to ensure 3 + 5 * 10 results in 53 instead of 80.

    Hi I need a regular expression that'll give me something like this part ./something\", [something.sh from something like this string ("./something\", [something.sh", ["./something\", [something.sh"], [/* 37 vars */]) is that possible? I'm having real trouble making this since there's that \" escape sequence and also that ',' character, so I cannot simply use match everything instead of these characters. I'm working on unix so it's also possible to use pipeline of few greps or something like that. Thanks for advice.

  • How to style a treeview in Expression Blend

When I open this project in Blend, it seems I can only really style the top-most DataTemplate (via right-click the TreeView in the Objects/Timeline view, Edit Additional Templates-Edit Generated Items (ItemTemplate) - Edit Current).     If i have a product. var p = new Product { Price = 30 }; and i have the following linq query. var q = repo.Products().Where(x=>x.Price == p.Price).ToList() In an IQueryable provider, I get a MemberExpression back for the p.Price which contains a Constant Expression, however I can't seem to get the value "30" back from it.   • need help with xpath expression

    I have an xml node that looks like <slot highcount="20" lowcount="10" /> I've tried the following xpath expression: XmlNode node = xdoc.SelectSingleNode("slot[@lowcount>=12] && slot[@highcount <=12]"); but I get an invalid token error and I don't have enough experience with this to know what I'm doing wrong. Any ideas?

  • What would keep a Microsoft Word AutoNew() macro from running?

    I'm using Microsoft Office 2003 and creating a bunch of template documents to standardize some tasks. I know it's standard practice to put the templates in an certain place Office expects to find them but that won't work for me. What I want is to have "My Template Foo.dot" and "My Template Bar.dot", etc. in the "My Foo Bar Stuff" on a shared drive and users will double click on the template to create a new Foo or Bar. What's I'd really like is for the user to double click on the Foo template and be prompted for a couple of items related to their task (e.g., a project number) and have a script in the template change the name that Save will default to something like "Foo for Project 1234.doc". I asked on Google Groups and got an answer that worked....for a while. Then my AutoNew macro stopped kicking in when I created a new document by double clicking on the template. I have no idea why or how to debug it. I'm a software engineering with 25+ years of experience but a complete Office automation noob. Specific solutions and pointers to "this is how to automate Word" FAQs are welcome. Thanks.

    Ok this is somenthing unbelievable, we have a website, users sign up and receives links to confirm they signed up BUT: 1 - microsoft blocked our IP (no one with microsoft email account can receive our emails) 2 - we tryed contacting microsoft submitting the detailed form about our problem 3 - we posted 3 times in their community about our problem 4 - we tweeted they about our problem 5 - we tryed finding out some telephone support number (the few there are arent' helping at all) Do you think we solved? the answer is NO :/ We still unable to send emails from our IP to microsoft email accounts, since 3 months back. Our emails are perfect we checked all the email headers following microsoft guidelines but it seems not enought, checking our IP reputation it seems everythings ok, indeed we can send email easly to any other provider , gmail, yahoo, etc Do you know any other way to try to get help ? FULL STACK ERROR FROM MICROSOFT: host mx1.hotmail.com[65.55.37.120] said: 550 SC-001 (COL0-MC4-F28) Unfortunately, messages from 94.23.***** weren't sent. Please contact your Internet service provider since part of their network is on our block list. You can also refer your provider to http://mail.live.com/mail/troubleshooting.aspx#errors.   • Microsoft Word 2007 restarts the installer upon exiting on Windows XP

    A user complained that they were having issues with MS Office 2007, and that the installation / configuration dialog kept appearing. I already tried uninstalling Office 2007 and I ended up needing to use the Microsoft Fix It package to uninstall it, since using the control panel failed. I close Microsoft Word. The Installer for Microsoft Office inexplicably opens. I then get a dialog that says I need to reboot. So I restart... Start Microsoft Word, Word starts up, and everything appears to be fine. I close word, and nothing much happens this is on the administrator account. I think everything is fixed so I call the user over to come try their account out. We login as the user, and the user tries to open a document in Word. The Configuration Progress Window reappears. It runs...and then Word appears. I close it and it appears to work, no window. I open it again and the Configuration Progress window appears yet again... Then Word opens up again, if I exit out and open up again I get the same Configuration Progress window. I have no idea what is causing the Configuration Progress Window to come up.. Update: I attempted to install two updates: Update for Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 Junk Email Filter (KB2687400) Update for the 2007 Microsoft Office System (KB967642) Both of these updates failed. Update: I attempted to install KB967642 manually and it failed.
