• Conditionally format row based on cell value in Excel 2011 Mac

  I'm using Excel Mac 2011. I have read some of the other answers, but this question is different because I want to apply conditional formatting to an entire row when its cell in column B contains the value 'Y'. Simple conditional formatting just formats that one cell. Whenever the field at column B for any given row contains the value 'Y', I'd like to format that row. Using Mac Excel's so-called "classic" conditional formatting, I have this: I would really like to apply that to every row, but it just paints the entire sheet red (because $B$3 contains "Y"). I can't seem to figure out how to get the reference to whatever is in field B for this row in the rule.

  I've searched for a similar question here, but haven't been able to find something that answers my issue. I'm a mediocre user of Excel 2010 with no experience in macro's. I have a dataset where each row represents a data entry. Let's say each row can be for each of its values (the columns) the maximum or minimum of the entire dataset. How can I create a row at the top where the, for instance, maximum row is shown dynamicly? So when extra data is added to the bottom of the dataset, the new maximum (if applicable) is shown in that row at the top. Thank you in advance!

  I have a spreadsheet with a large number of rows. There are two rows grouped together (for each customer). In column A, the first row has an account number. The second row should be blank. The spreadsheet has lots of customers listed where there is no second row. I need to insert a blank line to create a second row for each customer that doesn't have one. Here is the VBA script I cobbled together, but it gets a syntax error. • PHP next MySQL row - how to move pointer until function checks true?

  I have a PHP script which takes a value from a row in my MySQL database, runs it through a function, and if it determines it's true returns one value, and if it's false, it needs to go to the next value in the database and check that one until eventually one returns true. I think I need to use mysql_fetch_assoc, but I'm not really sure in what way to use it... I wish I could post my code to be more specific, but it's a lot of code and most of it has no bearing on this issue...

• Using modified date of file for comparison. Is it safe?

  I want to make a procedure that does one way syncrhonization of a folder between a server and a client. I was thinking to use ModifiedDate as a criterio, provided that only the date of the server files will be used. Procedure will not use Modified dates of files on the client at all. It will read dates from the server and compare them with dates read from the server last time the procedure run. Do you think this is safe? Is there any possibility that Modified Date will not be changed when a file is edited or it will be changed without touching the contents of the file (eg. from some strange antivirus programs)?

  Dr Bjarne Stroustrup in his book D&E says Several reviewers asked me to compare C++ to other languages. This I have decided against doing. Thereby, I have reaffirmed a long-standing and strongly held view: "Language comparisons are rarely meaningful and even less often fair" . A good comparison of major programming languages requires more effort than most people are willing to spend, experience in a wide range of application areas, a rigid maintenance of a detached and impartial point of view, and a sense of fairness.   Been all over the place and spent 8 hours working loops and math...still cant get it... I am writing a CP for a customer. The input form will allow them to add a package deal to their web page. Each package deal is stored in mysql in the following format id header item1 item2 item3...item12 price savings The output is a table with 'header' being the name of the package and each item being 1 of the items in the package stored in a row within the table, then the price and amount saved (all of this is input via a form and INSERT statement by the customer, that part works) stored rows as well. Here is my PHP: include 'dbconnect.php'; $query = "SELECT * FROM md "; $result = mysql_query($query); while ($row = mysql_fetch_array($result)) { //Print 4 tables with header, items, price, savings //Go to next row (on main page) and print 4 more items //Do this until all tables have been printed } mysql_free_result($result); mysql_close($conn); ? Right now the main page is simpley a header div, main div, content wrap and footer div. Ideal HTML output of a 'package' table, not perfect and a little confusing $header $item1 $item2 ect... $price$savings I basically want the PHP to print this 4 times per row on the main page and then move to the next row and print 4 times and continue until there are no more items in the array. So it could be row 1 4 tables, row 2 4 tables, row 3 3 tables. Long, confusing and frustrating. I about to just do 1 item per row..please help Jake

  I'm building an NSPredicateEditor, and I want the ability to do advanced date comparison. I realize that I can build an NSPredicateEditorRowTemplate with a rightExpressionType of NSDateAttributeType, but the predicates I want to build need to be much more advanced than that. For example, I need to basic comparison like: dateKeypath < aDate dateKeypath <= aDate dateKeypath = aDate dateKeypath != aDate dateKeypath > aDate dateKeypath >= aDate These basic comparisons are quite easy to achieve, and I have these working. However, I also need to do comparisons like: dateKeypath isInTheLast n days (or weeks, months, years) dateKeypath isNotInTheLast n days (or weeks, months, years) dateKeypath between aDate and anotherDate How can I achieve these sorts of comparisons? I understand that I'll need to create a custom NSPredicateEditorRowTemplate, but I haven't found any clear documentation on how to achieve something like this. EDIT Bonus points are available for also knowing how to make these comparisons a full date-time (year-month-day-hour-minute-second) comparison (as NSDateAttributeType only has year-month-day granularity).

  I have tried this in another post but trying my luck again. My current array that I am making produce a different result than I am wanting. I want to have this kind of out put Row: 0: Column: 1: ID 1 Row: 1: Column: 1: ID 1 Row: 0: Column: 2: ID 2 Row: 1: Column: 2: ID 2 Row: 2: Column: 2: ID 2 Row: 3: Column: 2: ID 2 Row: 0: Column: 3: ID 3 Row: 1: Column: 3: ID 3 As you can see the Rows and columns change based on the ID. So if the ID is same it just go to next row in the same column. However if id is changed it goes to next column and rows start.   I am in the process of collecting laptop recommendations for a friend. I need a way to show to her the size differences of the various formats (15" 4:3, 15" 16:9, 15" 16:10 .... up to 17.3") in a graphical way, so she can compare them to the laptop she currently has (15"). Does anybody know a simple comparison chart where those sizes are shown side-by-side? We have E-Mail connection only right now, so I would need some sort of a link or PDF document.

  We recently set up Nessus, but the annual cost is not cheap. Recently Google published SkipFish which appears to compete in the area of webapps. As best I can tell, Nessus operates via a large database of known exploits. And, as best as I can tell, Skipfish automatically generates vulnerability tests. Has anyone done a comparison of the effectiveness of these two approaches yet?

I have found several older comparisons, but I am trying to find a more up-to-date comparisons that apply to the larger storage sizes (32-128GB). I can try looking up the specs of various drives, but vendors have been known to exaggerate, or use numbers that are on accurate in tests that do not reflect actual usage.   Hi, I have a wpf datagrid with many rows, each row has some specific behaviors like selection changed of column 1 combo will filter column 2 combo, and what is selected in row 1 column 1 combo cannot be selected in row 2 column 1 combo, etc... So I am thinking of having a view model for the main datagrid, and another for each row. Is that a good MVVM implementation? It is so that I can handle each row's change event effectively.
