    I am using lxml with tree.write(xmlFileOut, pretty_print = True, xml_declaration = True, encoding='UTF-8' to write out my opened and edited xml file, but I absolutely need to have the xml declaration as <?xml version=“1.0” encoding=“UTF-8”?> and NOT <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?> Now I know they are exactly the same when it comes to xml, but I am dealing with a very tricky customer who absolutely has to have " in the declaration and not '. I have searched everywhere but can't find the answer. Could I create it and add it in myself to the head of the xml somehow? Could I tell lxml that this is what I need as an xml declaration?

  • How to keep plug-in manifest version and pom version in sync in Maven with Tycho

    I am using Maven with Tycho to build an eclipse plugin. Tycho generates the pom.xml file for Maven by inspecting the manifest file of the plugin. Now both the manifest file and the pom file have the version of the plugin and they need to be kept in sync manually. This is because I have done some customization in the generated pom file and cannot overwrite it every time I change the version in the manifest. My question here is, is there a way to keep these versions in sync automatically using Tycho?

    I've got to a point where i want to start using version control for my project. Mainly for reverting to previous versions of files if things go belly up, doing diff comparisons. Nothing major. I want something that integrates well with visual studio, and something thats relatively simple to setup. - prefereably with a link to a tutorial for setting up would be nice. Im just using my pc for this so something like TFS is out of the question.

I am wondering if there is local version control/snapshots for emacs independent of VC? let me clarify: every time I save buffer, I would like to be able to keep track of changes of each save in session. I know I can do something similar with backup files, but they are not automated like VC and a somewhat cumbersome. I have searched Google, but did not find the solution.     Hi I am working on an app at the moment that requires number input to be formatted as the textfield changes as well as perform a calculation. I have the text fields set up so that as the user types notifications are passed out and a calculation is performed. However what I need to do now is format the text to be in this style: €1,000,000 rather than 1000000. I have this working for the output of the calculation already but everytime I try to apply it to the input text the simulator seems to crash or at least freezes for a while. I'd imagine its a simple enough fix.

    Hello I want to generate a Unique Random number with out using the follow statement : Convert(int, (CHECKSUM(NEWID()))*100000) AS [ITEM] Cause when I use joins clauses on "from" it generates double registers by using NEWID() Im using SQL Server 2000 *PD : When I use Rand() it probably repeat on probability 1 of 100000000 but this is so criticall so it have to be 0% of probability to repeat a random value generated My Query with NewID() and result on SELECT statement is duplicated (x2) My QUery without NewID() and using Rand() on SELECT statement is single (x1) but the probability of repeat the random value generated is uncertainly but exists!   • Random number within a range based on a normal distribution

    I'm math challenged today :( I want to generate random numbers with a range (n to m, eg 100 to 150), but instead of purely random I want the results to be based on the normal distribution. By this I mean that in general I want the numbers "clustered" around 125. I've found this random number package that seems to have a lot of what I need: http://beta.codeproject.com/KB/recipes/Random.aspx It supports a variety of random generators (include mersiene twister) and can apply the generator to a distribution. But I'm confused... if I use a normal distribution generator the random numbers are from roughly -6 to +8 (apparently the true range is float.min to float.max). How do a scale that to my required range?
