  • Posting comments to a wordpress-blog in Android

    - by Samuh
I am working on a module that allows users to post comments on a blog published on Wordpress. I looked at the HTML source for Post-Comment-Form displayed at the bottom of a blog entry (Leave a Reply section). Using that as a reference, I translated it to Java using DefaultHTTPClient and BasicNameValuePairs and my code looks like: DefaultHttpClient httpclient = new DefaultHttpClient(); HttpPost httppost = new HttpPost("http://xycabz.wordpress.com/wp-comments-post.php"); httppost.setHeader("Content-type","application/x-www-form-urlencoded;charset=UTF-8"); List<NameValuePair> nvps = new ArrayList<NameValuePair>(); nvps.add(new BasicNameValuePair("author","abc")); nvps.add(new BasicNameValuePair("email","[email protected]")); nvps.add(new BasicNameValuePair("url","")); nvps.add(new BasicNameValuePair("comment","entiendamonos?")); nvps.add(new BasicNameValuePair("comment_post_ID","123")); //this was a hidden field and always set to 0 nvps.add(new BasicNameValuePair("comment_parent","0")); try { httppost.setEntity(new UrlEncodedFormEntity(nvps)); } catch (UnsupportedEncodingException e1) { e1.printStackTrace(); } BasicResponseHandler handler = new BasicResponseHandler(); try { Log.e("OUTPUT",httpclient.execute(httppost,handler)); } catch (ClientProtocolException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } catch (IOException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } The above code works fine when I try it out on my blog. But when I try this on the actual blog, I get HTTP 302 Found (Redirect to temporary location) exceptions in the logs. The comments never make it to the blog page. Usually, when you post a comment(on the web page) you are taken back to the blog page that enlists all the comments. The URL I am getting in the redirects is the same. Questions: 1. Could this be a post-a-comment settings problem(perhaps something the original blog owner might have set)? 2. How should my HTTPClient handle 302 status code? Eventually, I just have to notify the user of success and failure and not actually take him to the comments page.

  • HTML/CSS set div to height of sibling

    - by Paul
I have 2 div's contained in a third. One of the contained div's is floated left, the other floated right. I would like the 2 sibling div's to always be at the same height, but am having a problem with this. So far I am only viewing the page in Firefox, and figured I'd worry about any cross-browser issues after I get it working in at least one browser. Here is the markup: <div id="main-container" class="border clearfix"> <div id="left-div" class="border"> ... </div> <div id="right-div" class="border"> ... </div> </div> Here is the CSS: #main-container { position: relative; min-height: 500px; } #left-div { position: relative; float: left; width: 700px; min-height: inherit; } #right-div { position: relative; float: right; width: 248px; min-height: inherit; height: inherit; } .clearfix:after { content: " "; display: block; height: 0; clear: both; visibility: hidden; } .clearfix { display: inline-block; _height: 1%; clear: both; } .clearfix { display: block; clear: both; } .border { border: solid 1px #000; } If the content in the #left-div is longer than 500px, the #right-div does not expand to match. In an example I tried, Firefox said the computed style height of the #main-container was 804px, the computed style height of the #left-div was 800px, and the computed style height of the #right-div was 586.2px, as it had expanded to fit it's own content. I understand I might be going about this the wrong way, and if this is a duplicate questions then I apologize, but I wasn't quite sure what to search under.

  • using MEF with NHibernate and windsor

    - by Fran
I have an ASP.net MVC application that is using NHibernate under the covers for data access. I'm using the Windsor container to handle injecting ISession references into each controller. This works great, but now I'm looking to expand my application with a pluggable architecture so that I can have a core product and specific add-ons. I found a great article on doing this with MEF. My question is how to make the Windsor container and MEF container, life/work together so that I can achieve this. There was an article (http://codebetter.com/blogs/glenn.block/archive/2009/10/31/should-i-use-mef-with-an-ioc-container.aspx) by Glenn Block that talked about this exact issue. Then end then said that the next article would show you how to do this, but there's no part 2. Has anyone created an application like this using asp.net mvc, mef, nhibernate, castle windsor?

  • C# UDP decoding datagrams fails randomly

    - by Tom Frey
Hi, I'm experiencing an issue in a multi threaded application and have been debugging it for the last 3 days but for the life of it can not figure it out. I'm writing this, hoping that I either have a DUH moment when typing this or somebody sees something obvious in the code snippets I provide. Here's what's going on: I've been working on a new UDP networking library and have a data producer that multicasts UDP datagrams to several receiver applications. The sender sends on two different sockets that are bound to separate UDP multicast addresses and separate ports. The receiver application also creates two sockets and binds each one to one of the sender's multicast address/port. When the receiver receives the datagram, it copies it from the the buffer in a MemoryStream which is then put onto a thread safe queue, where another thread reads from it and decodes the data out of the MemoryStream. Both sockets have their own queues. What happens now is really weird, it happens randomly, non-reproducible and when I run multiple receiver applications, it only happens randomly on one of them every now and then. Basically, the thread that reads the MemoryStream out of the queue, reads it via a BinaryReader like ReadInt32(), etc. and thereby decodes the data. Every now and then however when it reads the data, the data it reads from it is incorrect, e.g. a negative integer number which the sender never would encode. However, as mentioned before, the decoding only fails in one of the receiver applications, in the other ones the datagram decodes fine. Now you might be saying, well, probably the UDP datagram has a byte corruption or something but I've logged every single datagram that's coming in and compared them on all receivers and the datagrams every application receives are absolutely identical. Now it gets even weirder, when I dump the datagram that failed to decode to disk and write a unit test that reads it and runs it through the decoder, it decodes just fine. Also when I wrap a try/catch around the decoder, reset the MemoryStream position in the catch and run it through the decoder again, it decodes just fine. To make it even weirder, this also only happens when I bind both sockets to read data from the sender, if I only bind one, it doesn't happen or at least I wasn't able to reproduce it. Here are is some corresponding code to what's going on: This is the receive callback for the socket: private void ReceiveCompleted(object sender, SocketAsyncEventArgs args) { if (args.SocketError != SocketError.Success) { InternalShutdown(args.SocketError); return; } if (args.BytesTransferred > SequencedUnitHeader.UNIT_HEADER_SIZE) { DataChunk chunk = new DataChunk(args.BytesTransferred); Buffer.BlockCopy(args.Buffer, 0, chunk.Buffer, 0, args.BytesTransferred); chunk.MemoryStream = new MemoryStream(chunk.Buffer); chunk.BinaryReader = new BinaryReader(chunk.MemoryStream); chunk.SequencedUnitHeader.SequenceID = chunk.BinaryReader.ReadUInt32(); chunk.SequencedUnitHeader.Count = chunk.BinaryReader.ReadByte(); if (prevSequenceID + 1 != chunk.SequencedUnitHeader.SequenceID) { log.Error("UdpDatagramGap\tName:{0}\tExpected:{1}\tReceived:{2}", unitName, prevSequenceID + 1, chunk.SequencedUnitHeader.SequenceID); } else if (chunk.SequencedUnitHeader.SequenceID < prevSequenceID) { log.Error("UdpOutOfSequence\tName:{0}\tExpected:{1}\tReceived:{2}", unitName, prevSequenceID + 1, chunk.SequencedUnitHeader.SequenceID); } prevSequenceID = chunk.SequencedUnitHeader.SequenceID; messagePump.Produce(chunk); } else UdpStatistics.FramesRxDiscarded++; Socket.InvokeAsyncMethod(Socket.ReceiveAsync, ReceiveCompleted, asyncReceiveArgs); } Here's some stub code that decodes the data: public static void OnDataChunk(DataChunk dataChunk) { try { for (int i = 0; i < dataChunk.SequencedUnitHeader.Count; i++) { int val = dataChunk.BinaryReader.ReadInt32(); if(val < 0) throw new Exception("EncodingException"); // do something with that value } } catch (Exception ex) { writer.WriteLine("ID:" + dataChunk.SequencedUnitHeader.SequenceID + " Count:" + dataChunk.SequencedUnitHeader.Count + " " + BitConverter.ToString(dataChunk.Buffer, 0, dataChunk.Size)); writer.Flush(); log.ErrorException("OnDataChunk", ex); log.Info("RETRY FRAME:{0} Data:{1}", dataChunk.SequencedUnitHeader.SequenceID, BitConverter.ToString(dataChunk.Buffer, 0, dataChunk.Size)); dataChunk.MemoryStream.Position = 0; dataChunk.SequencedUnitHeader.SequenceID = dataChunk.BinaryReader.ReadUInt32(); dataChunk.SequencedUnitHeader.Count = dataChunk.BinaryReader.ReadByte(); OnDataChunk(dataChunk); } } You see in the catch{} part I simply reset the MemoryStream.Position to 0 and call the same method again and it works just fine that next time? I'm really out of ideas at this point and unfortunately had no DUH moment writing this. Anybody have any kind of idea what might be going on or what else I could do to troubleshoot this? Thanks, Tom

  • Preserve images in Excel headers using Apache POI

    - by ddm
    I am trying to generate Excel reports using Apache POI 3.6 (latest). Since POI has limited support for header and footer generation (text only), I decided to start from a blank excel file with the header already prepared and fill the Excel cells using POI (cf. question 714172). Unfortunately, when opening the workbook with POI and writing it immediately to disk (without any cell manpulation), the header seems to be lost. Here is the code I used to test this behavior: public final class ExcelWorkbookCreator { public static void main(String[] args) { FileOutputStream outputStream = null; try { outputStream = new FileOutputStream(new File("dump.xls")); InputStream inputStream = ExcelWorkbookCreator.class.getResourceAsStream("report_template.xls"); HSSFWorkbook workbook = new HSSFWorkbook(inputStream, true); workbook.write(outputStream); } catch (Exception exception) { throw new RuntimeException(exception); } finally { if (outputStream != null) { try { outputStream.close(); } catch (IOException exception) { // Nothing much to do } } } } }

  • PartCover code details

    - by user329814
I am using PartCover 2.2/2.3(trying with both) on win 7 x64. After generating report and selecting view coverage details, I can see for each method the code coverage. When I click on a method I see on the right list with block, block length, visit count and has source(set to yes). However, it doesn't fill the code like shown here http://www.csharpcity.com/using-partcover-and-nunit-for-code-coverage/. I haven't checked anything, everything is default. Can you tell me how I can see the coverage code? Thank you

  • Java multithreaded server - each connection returns data. Processing on main thread?

    - by oliwr
    I am writing a client with an integrated server that should wait indefinitely for new connections - and handle each on a Thread. I want to process the received byte array in a system wide available message handler on the main thread. However, currently the processing is obviously done on the client thread. I've looked at Futures, submit() of ExecutorService, but as I create my Client-Connections within the Server, the data would be returned to the Server thread. How can I return it from there onto the main thread (in a synchronized packet store maybe?) to process it without blocking the server? My current implementation looks like this: public class Server extends Thread { private int port; private ExecutorService threadPool; public Server(int port) { this.port = port; // 50 simultaneous connections threadPool = Executors.newFixedThreadPool(50); } public void run() { try{ ServerSocket listener = new ServerSocket(this.port); System.out.println("Listening on Port " + this.port); Socket connection; while(true){ try { connection = listener.accept(); System.out.println("Accepted client " + connection.getInetAddress()); connection.setSoTimeout(4000); ClientHandler conn_c= new ClientHandler(connection); threadPool.execute(conn_c); } catch (IOException e) { System.out.println("IOException on connection: " + e); } } } catch (IOException e) { System.out.println("IOException on socket listen: " + e); e.printStackTrace(); threadPool.shutdown(); } } } class ClientHandler implements Runnable { private Socket connection; ClientHandler(Socket connection) { this.connection=connection; } @Override public void run() { try { // Read data from the InputStream, buffered int count; byte[] buffer = new byte[8192]; InputStream is = connection.getInputStream(); ByteArrayOutputStream out = new ByteArrayOutputStream(); // While there is data in the stream, read it while ((count = is.read(buffer)) > 0) { out.write(buffer, 0, count); } is.close(); out.close(); System.out.println("Disconnect client " + connection.getInetAddress()); connection.close(); // handle the received data MessageHandler.handle(out.toByteArray()); } catch (IOException e) { System.out.println("IOException on socket read: " + e); e.printStackTrace(); } return; } }

  • Attachment_fu error

    - by cswebgrl
Hello, I am getting an error while trying to upload images on an Ubuntu machine that's running Rails 2.3.4, Ruby 1.8.6 using attachment_fu with image science. FreeImage exception for type ???: IPTC: Invalid key 'Tag 0x025C' The error seems to point to this line in the image_science_processor in the attachment_fu plugin: def with_image(file, &block) ::ImageScience.with_image file, &block end My initial thoughts are that it has something to do with meta tags and the images and maybe free image. I don't actually see this error on my dev machine - Mac Snow Leopard, Rails 2.3.5, Ruby 1.8.7. Before I start messing versions on the production boxes, has anyone else encountered this issue and have an idea to fix it? THANKS!!!!

  • input type="text" not clickable in a jcarousel (jQuery based carousel) element

    - by AkaiKen
    Hello ! I work on a website where almost all objects are in a jCarousel element : <div> <ul id="mycarousel"> <li>object 1</li> <li>object 2</li> </ul> </div> is the "written" code, and : <div class=" jcarousel-skin-tango"> <div class="jcarousel-container jcarousel-container-horizontal" style="display: block;"> <div class="jcarousel-prev jcarousel-prev-horizontal jcarousel-prev-disabled jcarousel-prev-disabled-horizontal" style="display: block;" disabled="true"></div> <div class="jcarousel-next jcarousel-next-horizontal" style="display: block;" disabled="false"></div> <div class="jcarousel-clip jcarousel-clip-horizontal"> <ul class=" jcarousel-list jcarousel-list-horizontal" id="mycarousel" style="width: 2853px; left: 0px;"> <li class="jcarousel-item jcarousel-item-horizontal jcarousel-item-1 jcarousel-item-1-horizontal" jcarouselindex="1" style="width: 307px;"> object 1 </li> <li class="jcarousel-item jcarousel-item-horizontal jcarousel-item-1 jcarousel-item-1-horizontal" jcarouselindex="1" style="width: 307px;"> object 2 </li> </ul> </div> </div> is the generated code (here it lacks the ultimate </div>, maybe a number of rows limitation ?). I'm sorry I can't provide a link, I work on a local server currently. It works perfectly =) but... my problem is : an <input type="text" /> won't be clickable in this environment. I tried the others type of input, radio, checkbox, file : works. But text does not. I can specify a value on my input (it's its purpose on my work : a search in a database for datas to be modified and reinjected in database). In fact, I can access to the text input by clicking-right in then left. But it's pretty 'unergonomic', and in my project it's unthinkable. Ah, and I tried to style this input with a style="z-index:1000;", no changes, I think it's not a CSS problem. Does anybody have an idea ? Thank you very much in advance.

  • HTML overlay height to cover entire visible page

    - by Evgeny
I have a web page that loads some stuff using AJAX. I want to display an overlay with a loading indicator while the loading is in progress, so that the user cannot interact with most of the page - except the menu at the top. I'm using jQuery and the jQuery BlockUI plugin to do this. I call $(element).block() and it works fine, but the overlay only extends as far down as the current content of my page. As more content is loaded and added to the page the overlay moves down with it and this looks a bit ugly. Ideally I'd like it to cover the entire visible area of the page right from the start. A simple hack for doing this would be to set a large height value for the overlay, like this: $(myElement).block({ overlayCSS: { height: '10000px' } }); ... but this creates a scrollbar! How do I avoid this and make it just the right height to cover the visible page, but not enlarge it?

  • TIBRV: Remote vs Local RVD

    - by jsw
When connected to a local RVD a sending application is shielded from network interruptions and the send message methods will only block for the time it takes for the message to reach the local RVD process. With remote RVD the sending application is no longer shielded from network interruptions and the send message methods will block for the time it takes to hop across the network to reach the remote RVD process. Is my understanding correct? The documentation is vague regarding remote daemons. I'm mostly concerned with how reliable and performant the send message will be from the perspective of a sending application. Introducing unnecessary blocking on the client side due to sending a message (especially a network hop) is a big no-no in this application. The speed at which the messages reach the consumer is not of the utmost importance. With this in mind is a remote RVD out of the question?

  • Ruby New dnssd (bonjour zeroconf) service not appearing while browsing

    - by Poul
Here is my simple zeroconf (aka bonjour dnssd) browser. If I have other services running when I start the browser I can see it (the 'resolved to' line prints to the screen). However, if I start up another service while this browser is running it will not appear. It just waits at the top of the block so I would expect it to enter the block once a new service is registered. Any ideas? require 'rubygems' require 'dnssd' browser = DNSSD::Service.new browser.browse '_http._tcp.' do |reply| #<-- code seems to wait here for more services DNSSD.resolve reply do |r| puts "resolved to: http://#{r.target}:#{r.port}" end end #example service register_service = DNSSD::register( "My Service","_http._tcp", nil, my_port) do puts "* Registering the service *" end

  • .NET C# Filestream writing to file and reading the bfile

    - by pythonrg7
I have a web service that checks a dictionary to see if a file exists and then if it does exist it reads the file, otherwise it saves to the file. This is from a web app. I wonder what is the best way to do this because I occasionally get a FileNotFoundException exception if the same file is accessed at the same time. Here's the relevant parts of the code: String signature; signature = "FILE," + value1 + "," + value2 + "," + value3 + "," + value4; // this is going to be the filename string result; MultipleRecordset mrSummary = new MultipleRecordset(); // MultipleRecordset is an object that retrieves data from a sql server database if (mrSummary.existsFile(signature)) { result = mrSummary.retrieveFile(signature); } else { result = mrSummary.getMultipleRecordsets(System.Configuration.ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings["MyConnectionString"].ConnectionString.ToString(), value1, value2, value3, value4); mrSummary.saveFile(signature, result); } Here's the code to see if the file already exists: private static Dictionary dict = new Dictionary(); public bool existsFile(string signature) { if (dict.ContainsKey(signature)) { return true; } else { return false; } } Here's what I use to retrieve if it already exists: try { byte[] buffer; FileStream fileStream = new FileStream(@System.Configuration.ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["CACHEPATH"] + filename, FileMode.Open, FileAccess.Read, FileShare.Read); try { int length = 0x8000; // get file length buffer = new byte[length]; // create buffer int count; // actual number of bytes read JSONstring = ""; while ((count = fileStream.Read(buffer, 0, length)) > 0) { JSONstring += System.Text.ASCIIEncoding.ASCII.GetString(buffer, 0, count); } } finally { fileStream.Close(); } } catch (Exception e) { JSONstring = "{\"error\":\"" + e.ToString() + "\"}"; } If the file doesn't previously exist it saves the JSON to the file: try { if (dict.ContainsKey(filename) == false) { dict.Add(filename, true); } else { this.retrieveFile(filename, ipaddress); } } catch { } try { TextWriter tw = new StreamWriter(@System.Configuration.ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["CACHEPATH"] + filename); tw.WriteLine(JSONstring); tw.Close(); } catch { } Here are the details to the exception I sometimes get from running the above code: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not find file 'E:\inetpub\wwwroot\cache\FILE,36,36.25,14.5,14.75'. • Why are Pascal control structures inconsistent?

Most Pascal control structures make sense to me, like: for ... do {statement}; if (condition) then {statement}; while (condition) do {statement}; where the {statement} is either a single statement, or a begin ... end block. I have a problem with: repeat {statement-list} until (expression); try {statement-list} except {statement-list} end; Wouldn't it be better that repeat and try have the same general structure, accepting only a single statement or a begin ... end block, instead of having a statement-list that's not formally blocked with a begin and an end?

  • How do I properly handle a faulted WCF connection?

    - by mafutrct
In my client program, there is a WCF connection that is opened at startup and supposedly stays connected til shutdown. However, there is a chance that the server closes due to unforeseeable circumstances (imagine someone pulling the cable). Since the client uses a lot of contract methods in a lot of places, I don't want to add a try/catch on every method call. I've got 2 ideas for handling this issue: Create a method that takes a delegate and executes the delegate inside a try/catch and returns an Exception in case of a known exception, or null else. The caller has to deal with nun-null results. Listen to the Faulted event of the underlying CommunicationObject. But I don't see how I could handle the event except for displaying some error message and shutting down. Are there some best practices for faulted WCF connection that exist for app lifetime?

  • Converting FASTQ to FASTA with SED/AWK

    - by neversaint
I have a data in that always comes in block of four in the following format (called FASTQ): @SRR018006.2016 GA2:6:1:20:650 length=36 NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGN +SRR018006.2016 GA2:6:1:20:650 length=36 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!+! @SRR018006.19405469 GA2:6:100:1793:611 length=36 ACCCGCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC +SRR018006.19405469 GA2:6:100:1793:611 length=36 7);;).;);;/;*.2>/@@7;@77<..;)58)5/>/ Is there a simple sed/awk/bash way to convert them into this format (called FASTA): >SRR018006.2016 GA2:6:1:20:650 length=36 NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGN >SRR018006.19405469 GA2:6:100:1793:611 length=36 ACCCGCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC In principle we want to extract the first two lines in each block-of-4 and replace @ with >.

  • Inheriting from class that inherits from DynamicObject

    - by SeveQ
Hello there, I'm experimenting with C# 4.0's dynamic object model. I've created an abstract class named "Block" that inherits from DynamicObject. It overrides TryGetMember and TrySetMember. Furthermore I've created a usable class named "Brush" that inherits from "Block". I want it to be usable dynamically. But when I create a dynamic object from it and try to access a runtime bound member, it pelts me with an exception telling me that the member doesn't exist. The overridden TryGetMember or TrySetMember methods of the abstract parent class aren't getting called. Is this behaviour to be expected? Thank you!

  • Add inner-marging to a 4 columns CSS

    - by Martín Marconcini
I am not a CSS expert (mainly because I haven’t had the need to use much HTML/CSS stuff lately), so I came up with the following style/divs to create a 4 column layout: <style type="text/css"> <!-- .columns:after { content: "."; display: block; height: 0; clear: both; visibility: hidden; } * html .columns {height: 1%;} .columns{ display:inline-block; } .columns{ display:block; } .columns .column{ float:left; overflow:hidden; display:inline; } .columns .last{ float:right; } .col4 .first{ left: auto;width:25%; } .col4 .second{ left: auto;width:25%; } .col4 .third{ left: auto;width:25%; } .col4 .last{ left: auto;width:25%; } --> </style> note: most of this stuff comes from this google result, I just adapted it to 4 columns. The HTML then looks like this: <div class="columns col4"> <div class="column first”> SOME TEXT </div><!-- /.first -—> <div class="column second”> MORE TEXT</div><!—- /.second -—> <div class="column third”> SOME MORE TEXT </div><!—- /.third --> <div class="column last”> SOME LAST TEXT </div><!-- /.last -—> </div><!-- /.columns --> Ok, I’ve simplified that a bit (there’s a small image and some < h2 text in there too) but the thing is that I’d like to add some space between the columns. Here’s how it looks now: Do you have any idea what CSS property should I touch? note: If I add margin or padding, one column shifts down because (as I understand it) it doesn’t fit. There might be other CSSs as well, since this came in a template (I have been asked for this change, but I didn’t do any of this, as usual). Thanks for any insight.

  • IDisposable: is it necessary to check for null on finally {}?

    - by BlackTigerX
In most examples that you find on the web when explicitly not using "using", the pattern looks something like: SqlConnection c = new SqlConnection(@"..."); try { c.Open(); ... } finally { if (c != null) //<== check for null c.Dispose(); } If you do use "using" and look at the generated IL code, you can see that it generates the check for null L_0024: ldloc.1 L_0025: ldnull L_0026: ceq L_0028: stloc.s CS$4$0000 L_002a: ldloc.s CS$4$0000 L_002c: brtrue.s L_0035 L_002e: ldloc.1 L_002f: callvirt instance void [mscorlib]System.IDisposable::Dispose() L_0034: nop L_0035: endfinally I understand why the IL gets translated to check for null (doesn't know what you did inside the using block), but if you're using try..finally and you have full control of how the IDisposable object gets used inside the try..finally block, do you really need to check for null? if so, why?
