    Hi I have this API - which I managed to carryout some API steps solely from the CLI without using their GUI. Now I need to execute these CLI commands (i.e. for carrying out these API steps) in Java. When surfing, I couldn't find a helpful link for sample code on how to deal with this. May I know how to execute CLI commands using Java code (say in a Java class) Appreciate any insight, suggestions or guidance. Many thanks in advance

  • VS/C#: Can I be notified of every event that gets handled while debugging?

    I am currently troubleshooting a large and unwieldy GUI-based tool in Visual Studio, and was wondering whether there is any way to get some kind of notification (either by writing to the console or through a third-party tool) whenever any handled event occurs. This would make it a lot easier to track down what precisely is going on while I am interacting with this beast. Is there an 'on any event being handled' event I can handle, or some kind of add-in for VS which would make this possible?

    Hi All I've just created a little app that programmatically compiles code using the C# Compiler, and it works brilliantly. But, one thing that I need it to do is compile Windows.Forms code.     Is it possible to create a small program that will run, without recompiling and without emulators, on both Windows CE 6 AND Windows XP SP3? From my knowledge, this isn't possible. Source code needs to be recompiled for the target platform. However, a hardware manufacturer for embedded boards is claiming otherwise. The application isn't anything complex, just a simple benchmarking tool analysing floating point operations, CPU ticks etc, and displaying the results on a plain GUI.

I am a beginner, i.e. I tried Sandcastle but it is way over my head and could not get it going, not even with GUI. Fatesoft's CodeVisual To Flowchart is OK but it is almost the same as the code and I still don't understand the code.

    I'm trying to do a couple of things at once. I'm trying to do one major thing: redirect the application output that is displayed in the Qt Creator console to a textEdit that I have on my GUI. However, the class that I need to do this in is written in C and all of its related headers are in C as well. Is there a way that I can redirect the output into the textEdit within the C class?

  • Ok to implement backend/shared functionality for iPhone in JavaScript?

    Is it ok to use the Webkit Javascript engine to implement cross-platform, non-GUI backend functionality on the iPhone, iPad? In my case, I was interested in re-using Javascript code that I have that works on top of SQLite. I thought I would need to re-implement the logic in Obj-C but perhaps I could just share it and expose some hooks into Obj-C using JSCocoa or straight through JavaScript core. Is this legal per Apple guidelines?

  • Is there a way to accumulate a commit message with git while examing changes?

    I use "git add -p" to stage my changes. What I'd like to be able to do is to accumulate a commit message as I'm examining my changes and then when I call "git commit", it is already filled out for me and allows me to make changes before I commit. Now, its easy to do with git gui by simply examining the changes and editing the commit message text box accordingly, but I'm a command line guy and was wondering if this is possible at the command line.

I would like to break the command-line version's dependency on QT, so I need a drop-in rectangle class that supports intersection and union.     I have heard of WINE but I don't like it because it's slow on the computers I have tested and almost always crashes. It also has some unpleasant looking gui. I am wondering if there is a "win32" library in c/c++ for linux that produces native linux code so that if I have my source code for windows, I can just recompile and produce a working linux application. I.e. copy the background color of a button to another button without duplicating the button. Or: Enter an exact RGB code using the interface builder.
