• Sending events to the dev version of a ruleset via HTTP

  I've been writing an endpoint that sends events to a KRL ruleset via HTTP GET (based on the documentation here), in this format: http://cs.kobj.net/blue/event/{domain}/{eventname}/{appid} That works great when the version of the app I want to test is the same one that's deployed. I don't always want to deploy before testing it, though. Using the stated format for calling the dev version doesn't work. It still calls the deployed version of my ruleset: http://cs.kobj.net/blue/event/{domain}/{eventname}/{appid}:kynetx_app_version=dev What am I doing wrong?

  hi, i have 3 data grid placed working fine with expand and collapse. now i have an requirement where i have an grid with four columns starting from name age mailId address once user moves mouse over the *name column only. i need to call the MouseEnter Event* here i am showing an pop grid whereas when i move mouse over the other columns like i need call the MouseLeave Event here i need to hide the pop grid right now once user click on the row on any column values i am showing an pop up grid with all the details of that row. here i am using Selection Changed Event is there any way i can achieve this functionality like on move mouse over only the first column need to display the data and call the mouse events thanks in advance looking for an help. i am at few steps away from the solution let me know how to solve it. prince

  Hi, is it possible to capture a click event on a scrollbar? I have some code where i am observing the click and mousedown events on the document. However, it seems that when I click on the scrollbar, the event is not captured. This leads me to believe that the scrollbars aren't really part of the document. (Assumption :-)) Is this a correct assumption? I only found how add click event on one widget layout element (with setOnClickPendingIntent), and how send text to widget element TextView. But it's unclear how handle click events for sub-elemets, or how get click coordinates(or item) where was click event. • initWithCoder breaking my touch events (touchBegan, touchMoved, etc)

  So I have a UIView that has been setup, and in each touch event handler I have an NSLog fire off a message to the console. - (void) touchesBegan:(NSSSet*)touches withEvent:(UIEvent*)event { NSLog(@"touchesBegan"); } And that pretty much works as expected. But once I implement initWithCoder (even blank) - (id)initWithCoder:(NSCoder*)coder { return self; } I no longer receive the message to my console (or can hit breakpoints obviously). This is my first app so I'm probably missing something dumb, but I've looked through various example apps and I don't appear to be missing any code that would re-enable touch events.

  I have a Samsung LD220Z multi touch monitor, and when I'm experimenting with some WPF and touch features the touch events arent firing. The mouse down event seems to be firing however. Does this mean that I have to take into account that not all touch screen behave the same, and how do I get the touch inputs on my screen? I've tried the Windows 7 Touch pack that microsoft released. And the multi touch features seems to work there. Any suggestion on how to proceed with this?

  I have looked all over the web and I can not find the information I am looking for and I was hoping that someone could give me a hand. Specifically, I am looking for a comprehensive list of what events occur in the page and control life cycles and what is "available" in each event. Like when can I get a dropdownlists selected value, when can i databind, when can I get at values in view state and what not. Can anyone point me to a comprehensive list for both page and control life cycles? Or even provide that information for me? Thanks in advance.

• How can I disable the F4 key from showing the items in a ComboBox

  You might not know this, but pressing the F4 key on a ComboBox makes it's drop-down item list appear. I believe this is the default behavior on Windows. Does anyone know how to override this behavior in WPF (C#)? I know that overriding default behavior is generally seen as bad practice, however in this case I have a rugged-device that runs XP Embedded. It has a handful of prominent Function keys (F1-F6) that need to trigger different events. This works fine, however when focused over a ComboBox the events aren't triggered as the ComboBox drops down. I have tried catching the KeyDown event both on the form and on the ComboBox and listening for the F4 key, however it doesn't get this far as the key press must be handled at a lower level. Any ideas? Thanks.

  I'm writing my first iPhone app, and I've been exploring the design patterns in Cocoa and Objective-C. I come from a background of client-side web development, so I'm trying to wrap my head around delegates. Specifically, I don't see why delegate objects are needed instead of event handlers. For instance, when the user presses a button, it is handled with an event (UITouchUpInside), but when the user finishes inputting to a text box and closes it with the 'Done' button, the action is handled by calling a method on the text box's delegate (textFieldShouldReturn). Why use a delegate method instead of an event? I also notice this in the view controller with the viewDidLoad method. Why not just use events?

  I am developing a Phonegap app with JQuery mobile with their latest stable versinos (Phonegap 3 and JQM 1.3.2) for Android platform. My app downloads feeds from Google Feeds API and saves in a SQLite database. But whenever it starts fetching and saving data from the web (the no of feeds that download at a time can be many), the other functionality such as button events halt and freeze. To be precise the a button that opens and closes a panel does not either open or close the panel until the data fetching stops. How am I supposed to solve this issue? The performance has dropped drastically due to this issue in my app.

• jQuery: Freezing/Disabling all events temporarily?

  I have the following usecase: A div with some buttons When the user clicks on a button, a popup is shown and the background div is faded out to 0.5 opacity The problem is that when the popup comes in, the user is still able to click on the background buttons. At this point, I can remove the entire DIV temporarily but I don't want to do that. Is there anyway I can disable all the previously attached events and then add event handlers ONLY to the current popup? (I mean something like a close button should still work on a popup) Any suggestions?

  I've got an SSIS project where I am constructing an SQL command based on some variables. I'm constructing the command in a script task, and want to output the constructed SQL to the 'Execution Results' window. I am trying to do this using a FireInformation line from inside my script as follows: Dts.Events.FireInformation(99, "test", "Make this event appear!", "", 0, true); However, in the script editor when editing ScriptMain.cs, that line is underlined in red, and on mouseover, I get the following message: Error: The best overloaded method match for 'Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Tasks.ScriptTask.EventsObjectWrapper.FireInformation(int, string, string, string, int, ref bool') has some invalid arguments As a result, my script does not compile and I cannot execute it. Any idea what I'm doing wrong here, or what I need to change to be able to see the values of my variables at this point in the Execution output?

  I have a TabActivity and want to catch and handle presses of HOME and BACK. Where do I need to catch these events? In my subclass of TabActivity I implement the following: @Override public boolean onKeyDown(int keyCode, KeyEvent event) { switch (keyCode) { // Code handling } return super.onKeyDown(keyCode, event); } Didn't work. So I placed a breakpoint on the switch statement line. But this function never gets called, whether I press volume up/down, menu, home, or back. Where do I need to catch these KeyEvents?

• Mouse Events lost on zoom in silverlight

  Hi All, I'm running into an issue where I seem to be losing mouse events. Essentially I have a grid with a bunch of controls that get refreshed (removed/re-added via Grid.Children.Clear and Grid.Children.Add(control) ) via a WCF_Service. If I zoom in to a part of the grid where no control exists, I'm unable to zoom out. I have implemented zoom to mouse position but have logic to ensure the coordinates of the grid are never beyond the window of screen. (Eg: Grid.ActualWidth must be 0 and Translate.X must be < Grid.ActualWidth - 200) I have also experienced this where I can still see a section of one of the controls, but it still is not able to zoom out (unless I'm over the control). Appreciate any and all help.

• Unwanted Retriggering of Textbox Events

  This is one of those "seems obvious" as how to do, but came across interesting side effect in implementing. I'm trying to keep two text boxes syncronized when information is updated. In this example, I will be using txtStartDate and txtEndDate. If the txtStartDate is changed, then the txtEndDate should should be updated. Likewise, if the txtEndDate changes, I want the txtSartDate to be updated. The side effect I'm comming across is that when I set them up under the TextChanged event for both, the events seem to retrigger against each other indefinately (endless loop?). Am I using the wrong event? Is this a task for a delegate?

But when using Ubuntu 12.04, it only controls the backlight without automatically adjusting the brightness. • UIView coordinate transforms on rotation during keyboard appearance

  iPad app; I'm trying to resize my view when the keyboard appears. It amounts to calling this code at appropriate times: CGRect adjustedFrame = self.frame; adjustedFrame.size.height -= keyboardFrame.size.height; [self setFrame:adjustedFrame]; Using this technique for a view contained in a uisplitview-based app works in all 4 orientations, but I've since discovered that a vanilla uiview-based app does not work. What happens is that apparently the uisplitview is smart enough to convert the coordinates of its subviews (their frame) such that the origin is in the "viewer's top left" regardless of the orientation. However, a uiview is not able to correctly report these coordinates. Though the origin is reported as (0,0) in all orientations, the view's effective origin is always as if the ipad were upright. What is weird about this is that the view correctly rotates and draws, but it always originates in the literal device top left. How can I get the view to correctly make its origin the "top left" to the viewer, not the device's fixed top left? What am I missing? Please, for something so trivial I've spent about 6 hours on this already with every brute force technique and research angle I could think of.   Hello, I am writing an application involving user input from the keyboard. The question is: Is is possible to make a separation of these characters (to actually know that I only hit one key or key combination). What I would like is to have a function to return a single integer value for any type of input (letter, digit, F1-F12, DEl, PGUP, PGDOWN, CTRL+A, CTRL+ALT+A, ALT+LEFT, etc). Is this possible?   Hi I have a page that has a Dropdown control (ddlDeliveryMethod). So that when the user selects particular option from the Dropdown(using MOUSE), the respective Div ID's are loaded. But instead of Mouse, if we simply use the arrow keys from Keyboard, the respective DIV ID's are not showing. Is there any workaround for this. Appreciate your responses. • IE problem: keyboard interaction with checkbox

  I have an HTML table, and each row has a checkbox for selecting or deselecting its row. Whenever a checkbox changes value, I need to add or remove highlighting to the row and also ensure that the page's submit button is only enabled when at least one row is selected and disabled otherwise. The checkbox event handler is defined by the following function: function getCheckboxCallback() { return function () { var parentRow = getParentRow(this); if (!parentRow) { return; // No parent row found; abort } // Adjust the appearance of the row setSelected(parentRow, this.checked); // Count the number of selected table rows, and disable the submit // button whenever no rows are selected enforceInvariants(); return true; }; } Elsewhere in the same module, the checkboxes are given the event handlers: checkbox.onchange = getCheckboxCallback(); checkbox.onclick = getCheckboxCallback(); // alleged IE fix I'm working in Windows XP, and everything works fine in both Firefox 3 and Opera 9. However, IE 7 does not handle keyboard interaction well (mouse interaction works fine). The problem is that if a checkbox has the focus and I hit the spacebar, the checkbox doesn't get checked -- instead it gets half checked (it has the same shadowed appearance that it would get immediately after a mousedown). I have to press the spacebar a second time to actually check the box. Similarly, it requires two key presses to uncheck it. Oddly enough, if I hold down the spacebar for a few moments, then a single press works as expected. Can anyone explain what is going on here? Is there something I'm doing wrong in the JavaScript code that is causing this behavior? How can I fix this?
