These are based on scripting while some solutions allow deployment to be embedded in code like Migrator.Net and other Ruby inspired Db deployment/migration frameworks in .NET. I was wondering if there are any frameworks for .NET for application deployment that would allow developers to embed full deployment inside code. Things like copying files, creating web apps in IIS, stopping and starting services and so on.

    What is the best method of storing an Enum in a Database using C# And Visual Studio and MySQL Data Connector. I am going to be creating a new project with over 100 Enums, and majority of them will have to be stored in the database. Creating converters for each one would be a long winded process therefore I'm wondering if visual studio or someone has any methods for this that I haven't heard off.

  • Do any JS implementations currently support (or have support on the roadmap for) fast, vectorized op

    I'd like to do a bit of matrix/vector arithmetic in JavaScript, and was wondering if any browsers or other JS implementations actually have support for vectorized operations, for instance for quickly summing the entries of two Arrays (or summing, or whatever). Even if that currently doesn't mean it compiles down to vectorized operations, at least some language support would be nice for when it does get implemented - I'd take the existence of functions or syntax to support it as a step in the right direction. (Understandably, "vectorization javascript" searches are pretty much all about graphics and SVG.)

  • How to directly store SQLite data in XCode?

    Hi guys: Searched on here and got some vague answers, so I thought i'd rephrase the problem to get some clearer answers- Right now I have an SQL Lite db that reads/parses information from a pre-formatted .txt file. When I open the app, there is a slight 'lag' as the iDevice parses the info, then gets fetched for the iDevice. I'm just wondering if there's any way to just 'save' all the information directly in the xCode so there's no lag/fetch time? Thank you.

    I was wondering if there was any key mapping in VIM to allow me to indent certain lines of code (whether those lines have been selected in visual mode, or n lines above/below current cursor position). So basically something that converts the following def my_fun(x, y): return x + y to #def my_fun(x, y): # return x + y I am ok with using either # or """ for commenting out the relevant lines. Ideally, I would also like the same keymapping to uncomment the lines if the given lines have been commented out. Thanks

  • How are integers casted to bytes in Java?

    I know Java doesn't allow unsigned types, so I was wondering how it casts an integer to a byte. Say I have an integer a with a value of 255 and I cast the integer to a byte. Is the value represented in the byte 11111111? In other words, is the value treated more as a signed 8 bit integer, or does it just directly copy the last 8 bits of the integer? Thanks, helixed

    We have a Java application that we need to ignore an expired self-signed cert, however we cannot modify the code to do this. I wondering if there was a System Property or environment variable that we could provide at start up that would allow us to have all expired cert's ignored for now, or even be more specific and provide externally the specific cert that we would like to have the expiration ignored. Anyone have any ideas that would work?

    Hey everyone, I am a little confused after reading this thread on the revisions to the iPhone Developer Agreement. While it lists the languages that are permitted, I don't understand what classifies as falling under what is banned. Does this include wrapper classes? What if the code is written in Objective C but is not an official Apple class/library? I'm wondering about things like: Three20 from Facebook SQLite Wrappers such as this one Charting / Graphing Libraries If anyone could clarify this, I'd greatly appreciate it.

    Hello all I was wondering how it's possible to find out if an image in the iPhone photo library is isotropic or anisotropic. Basically how many millimeters each pixel measures in height and in width. In JPG images the information is hardcoded into the data stream so it's possible to do by simply pointing a const char* to the image file, but I'm not sure I can do that with the data the iPhone image returns.     Hi, I have access to a grid (running condor) that would (potentially) allow to very substantially reduce how long by nltk based nlp tasks take. unfortunately, i dont have root access on the cluster so cannot install new packages, only run whatever is available on the linux boxes. python is of course available, but nltk isnt - i was wondering however, if there might be a way around this somehow ? is there a way i can somehow still distribute the task in a self-contained 'package' of some sort?     I tried to update my app on google appengine by my wireless dropped during the process. When i tried again i got an error "Another transaction by user ajakimov is already in progress for this app and major version." I know i can rollback the update using appcfg.py but i was wondering if it's possible to do this via some sort of a web interfiace (i tried the dashboard i couldn't find anything) ? Thanks.
