  • How to hide/show controls in UITableViewCell when it goes in/out of editing mode?

    I have few custom controls (image views) added programmatically to table cell. I want to hide them when table view goes into editing mode and show them again when view gets out of editing mode. I'm not using UITableViewCell subclasses, controls are added through tableView:cellForRowAtIndexPath: method. When and where should I do the hide/show? I'm wondering is this even possible without subclassing (where I could do this in layoutSubviews)...

    Hi, I'm in need to get some integration work done in my ruby application. My main focus is web services and ActiveMQ integration (the systems I'm going to connect to are mainly written in Java). I was wondering if there's something that resembles the capabilities of Camel in Ruby?   • Identifying and removing null characters in UNIX

    I have a text file containing unwanted null characters. When I try to view it in I see ^@ symbols, interleaved in normal text. How can I: a) Identify which lines in the file contains null characters? I have tried grepping for \0 and \x0, but this did not work. b) Remove the null characters? Running strings on the file cleaned it up, but I'm just wondering if this is the best way? Thanks

I am wondering if Youtube may have an API to download the flv-file, where can I find it in that case? Have anyone build an own script, may someone wanna help be building it?   • iPhone -- MKReverseGeocoder.adminstrativeArea -- getting state abbreviation

    In the documentation for MKReverseGeocoder, the administrativeArea property gives you the current state the user is in, and it mentions in an example that it returns EITHER the state name OR its abbreviation. I am wondering if anyone knows how to get the abbreviation instead of the full state name...I have been able to find nothing that shows this is even a possibility besides that brief example that doesn't mention HOW.     Hi, I was wondering if there is a way to split jQuery into multiple files, i.e. jQuery-1.4.2_part1.js jQuery-1.4.2_part2.js jQuery-1.4.2_part3.js ...and so on. The reason I want to do this is because the iPhone doesn't cache assets larger than 25kb and I really need jQuery to only be downloaded once.     I'd like to do a bit of matrix/vector arithmetic in JavaScript, and was wondering if any browsers or other JS implementations actually have support for vectorized operations, for instance for quickly summing the entries of two Arrays (or summing, or whatever). Even if that currently doesn't mean it compiles down to vectorized operations, at least some language support would be nice for when it does get implemented - I'd take the existence of functions or syntax to support it as a step in the right direction. (Understandably, "vectorization javascript" searches are pretty much all about graphics and SVG.)

    I've never noticed it making any difference whether or not I include the .h at the end of an include, so I've always ignored the meaning, but I've just noticed in a particular program of mine, I get the error "memcpy was not declared in this scope" if I include "string", but not if I include "string.h". First of all, I was wondering the specific cause of this, but also generally the difference between the two. At the same time, if someone could explain the difference between includes in angular brackets and those in quotation marks, It'd be much appreciated.

I'm building a site where people can sign up, upload content etc. and I was wondering, I probably need some sort of T&C's and Privacy Policy for a site like this. Since I'm just a poor programmer and don't have money for expensive lawyers, where would I get T&C's and a Privacy Policy that would applicable to my site?
