  • Overlay WPF controls

    - by sandy
    Hello I've written an 'auto-suggest' textbox user control in WPF. It behaves a little bit like the 'To' list in Hotmail, allowing the user to enter a list of items, offering suggestions when it is able. The main controls are a a text box, a wrap panel and a list box. The text box captures user input. The wrap panel contains the text box and shows previous entries. The list box is used to show suggestions. Most of the time, the list box is hidden. I'm using multiple instances of my control in a stack panel. My problem is that when the list box is shown, it is included in the measurement of the height of the control. This forces the following controls in the stack panel to be shifted down, as these pictures demonstrate: I've tried overriding the measurement of my control so not to include the list box, but this just results in the list box not being visible. What I want to do is make the list box overlay any subsequent controls in the stack panel, like a combo box's drop down would do. However, I really don't know how to do this. Any ideas? Thanks Sandy

  • Fancybox Auto Close, but remain user control

    - by justinw
    Hi, i've searched through the forum yet i can't find the solution. i'm refering to this thread to do the auto close function: http://groups.google.com/group/fancybox/browse_thread/thread/d09438b7... I did follow JFK's solution which works just right: 'onComplete': function() { $("#fancybox-wrap, #fancybox-overlay").delay(3000).fadeOut(); } if you don't want the user to close the box, then add modal=true The scenario is I would like the user to have the option to close the modal when they click on the [close] button or click anywhere on the overlay. I'm using the latest version of FB and jQuery on Rails. Here's my script: <script type="text/javascript"> jQuery(document).ready(function() { jQuery("#link_post").fancybox({ 'autoDimensions':false, 'width':380, 'height':50, 'title':'This message box will automatically close in 10 seconds.', 'titlePosition':'outside', 'onComplete': function() { jQuery("#fancybox-wrap, #fancybox- overlay").delay(10000).fadeOut(); } }); }); </script> However, when i clicked on the close button, the title and close button will fade away, but the FB's content and overlay are still there! it will only fade away after 10 seconds. So, my question is how to overwrite the 'onComplete' function if user clicks on the close button before it automatically closes?

  • C# Gui setting control.Enabled to false fires OnClick event???

    - by Daniel
    For some really weird reason when i set the .Enabled property to false on a simple text box on a small GUI, it fires a radio buttons OnClick event and its causing lots of problems. I have breakpointed the txtBox.Enabled = false; and after stepping over OR into it i jump straight to the OnClick event of the radio button control Here is the call stack as that happened: TestGUI.exe!TestGUI.frmMain.radiobuttonClicked(object sender = {Text = "Download Single Episode" Checked = true}, System.EventArgs e = {System.EventArgs}) Line 67 C# System.Windows.Forms.dll!System.Windows.Forms.Control.OnClick(System.EventArgs e) + 0x70 bytes System.Windows.Forms.dll!System.Windows.Forms.RadioButton.OnClick(System.EventArgs e) + 0x27 bytes System.Windows.Forms.dll!System.Windows.Forms.RadioButton.OnEnter(System.EventArgs e = {System.EventArgs}) + 0x3e bytes System.Windows.Forms.dll!System.Windows.Forms.Control.NotifyEnter() + 0x20 bytes System.Windows.Forms.dll!System.Windows.Forms.ContainerControl.UpdateFocusedControl() + 0x195 bytes System.Windows.Forms.dll!System.Windows.Forms.ContainerControl.AssignActiveControlInternal(System.Windows.Forms.Control value = {Text = "Download Single Episode" Checked = true}) + 0x54 bytes System.Windows.Forms.dll!System.Windows.Forms.ContainerControl.ActivateControlInternal(System.Windows.Forms.Control control, bool originator = false) + 0x76 bytes System.Windows.Forms.dll!System.Windows.Forms.ContainerControl.SetActiveControlInternal(System.Windows.Forms.Control value = {Text = "Download Single Episode" Checked = true}) + 0x73 bytes System.Windows.Forms.dll!System.Windows.Forms.ContainerControl.SetActiveControl(System.Windows.Forms.Control ctl) + 0x33 bytes System.Windows.Forms.dll!System.Windows.Forms.ContainerControl.ActiveControl.set(System.Windows.Forms.Control value) + 0x5 bytes System.Windows.Forms.dll!System.Windows.Forms.Control.Select(bool directed, bool forward) + 0x1b bytes System.Windows.Forms.dll!System.Windows.Forms.Control.SelectNextControl(System.Windows.Forms.Control ctl, bool forward, bool tabStopOnly, bool nested, bool wrap) + 0x7b bytes System.Windows.Forms.dll!System.Windows.Forms.Control.SelectNextControlInternal(System.Windows.Forms.Control ctl, bool forward, bool tabStopOnly, bool nested, bool wrap) + 0x4a bytes System.Windows.Forms.dll!System.Windows.Forms.Control.SelectNextIfFocused() + 0x61 bytes System.Windows.Forms.dll!System.Windows.Forms.Control.Enabled.set(bool value) + 0x42 bytes What the hell? • Extjs DataView ArrayStore problem

    Hi I have the following JS: http://monobin.com/__m1c171c4e and the following code: Code: var tpl = new Ext.XTemplate( '<tpl for=".">', '<div class="thumb-wrap" id="{Name}">', '<div class="thumb"><img src="{ImageMedium}" title="{Name}"></div>', '<span class="x-editable">{Name}</span></div>', '</tpl>', '<div class="x-clear"></div>' ); var store = new Ext.data.ArrayStore({ fields: [{ name: 'name' }, { name: 'ImageMedium'}], data: res.data.SimilarArtists }); var panel = new Ext.Panel({ frame: true, width: 535, autoHeight: true, collapsible: true, layout: 'fit', title: 'Simple DataView (0 items selected)', items: new Ext.DataView({ store: store, tpl: tpl, autoHeight: true, multiSelect: true, overClass: 'x-view-over', itemSelector: 'div.thumb-wrap', emptyText: 'No images to display', prepareData: function (data) { data.Name = Ext.util.Format.ellipsis(data.Name, 15); return data; }, plugins: [ new Ext.DataView.DragSelector(), new Ext.DataView.LabelEditor({ dataIndex: 'name' }) ], listeners: { selectionchange: { fn: function (dv, nodes) { } } } }) }); So binding the DataView to the child array of res.data.SimilarArtists But nothing seems to happen? prepareData doesnt even get called? • Ext.data.JsonStore + Ext.DataView = not loading records

    - by Mulone
    Hi guys, I'm trying to make a DataView work (on Ext JS 2.3). Here is the jsonStore, which seems to be working (it calls the server and gets a valid response). Ext.onReady(function(){ var prefStore = new Ext.data.JsonStore({ autoLoad: true, //autoload the data url: 'getHighestUserPreferences', baseParams:{ userId: 'andreab', max: '50' }, root: 'preferences', fields: [ {name:'prefId', type: 'int'}, {name:'absInteractionScore', type:'float'} ] }); Then the xtemplate: var tpl = new Ext.XTemplate( '<tpl for=".">', '<div class="thumb-wrap" id="{name}">', '<div class="thumb"><img src="{url}" title="{name}"></div>', '<span class="x-editable">{shortName}</span></div>', '</tpl>', '<div class="x-clear"></div>' ); The panel: var panel = new Ext.Panel({ id:'geoPreferencesView', frame:true, width:600, autoHeight:true, collapsible:false, layout:'fit', title:'Geo Preferences', And the DataView items: new Ext.DataView({ store: prefStore, tpl: tpl, autoHeight:true, multiSelect: true, overClass:'x-view-over', itemSelector:'div.thumb-wrap', emptyText: 'No images to display' }) }); panel.render('extOutput'); }); What I get in the page is a blue frame with the title, but nothing in it. How can I debug this and see why it is not working? Cheers, Mulone

  • java converting int to short

    - by changed
    Hi I am calculating 16 bit checksum on my data which i need to send to server where it has to recalculate and match with the provided checksum. Checksum value that i am getting is in int but i have only 2 bytes for sending the value.So i am casting int to short while calling shortToBytes method. This works fine till checksum value is less than 32767 thereafter i am getting negative values. Thing is java does not have unsigned primitives, so i am not able to send values greater than max value of signed short allowed. How can i do this, converting int to short and send over the network without worrying about truncation and signed & unsigned int. Also on both the side i have java program running. private byte[] shortToBytes(short sh) { byte[] baValue = new byte[2]; ByteBuffer buf = ByteBuffer.wrap(baValue); return buf.putShort(sh).array(); } private short bytesToShort(byte[] buf, int offset) { byte[] baValue = new byte[2]; System.arraycopy(buf, offset, baValue, 0, 2); return ByteBuffer.wrap(baValue).getShort(); }

  • SDL_image/C++ OpenGL Program: IMG_Load() produces fuzzy images

    - by Kami
    I'm trying to load an image file and use it as a texture for a cube. I'm using SDL_image to do that. I used this image because I've found it in various file formats (tga, tif, jpg, png, bmp) The code : SDL_Surface * texture; //load an image to an SDL surface (i.e. a buffer) texture = IMG_Load("/Users/Foo/Code/xcode/test/lena.bmp"); if(texture == NULL){ printf("bad image\n"); exit(1); } //create an OpenGL texture object glGenTextures(1, &textureObjOpenGLlogo); //select the texture object you need glBindTexture(GL_TEXTURE_2D, textureObjOpenGLlogo); //define the parameters of that texture object //how the texture should wrap in s direction glTexParameteri(GL_TEXTURE_2D, GL_TEXTURE_WRAP_S, GL_REPEAT); //how the texture should wrap in t direction glTexParameteri(GL_TEXTURE_2D, GL_TEXTURE_WRAP_T, GL_REPEAT); //how the texture lookup should be interpolated when the face is smaller than the texture glTexParameteri(GL_TEXTURE_2D, GL_TEXTURE_MIN_FILTER, GL_LINEAR); //how the texture lookup should be interpolated when the face is bigger than the texture glTexParameteri(GL_TEXTURE_2D, GL_TEXTURE_MAG_FILTER, GL_LINEAR); //send the texture image to the graphic card glTexImage2D(GL_TEXTURE_2D, 0, GL_RGBA, texture->w, texture->h, 0, GL_RGB, GL_UNSIGNED_BYTE, texture-> pixels); //clean the SDL surface SDL_FreeSurface(texture); The code compiles without errors or warnings ! I've tired all the files formats but this always produces that ugly result : I'm using : SDL_image 1.2.9 & SDL 1.2.14 with XCode 3.2 under 10.6.2 Does anyone knows how to fix this ?

  • Overlay just a part of an external page with jquery

    - by rolando
    Hi, How can i load a part of an external page with jquery overlay? I have an aspx call TipoFactor.aspx wich has a div inside a contentplaceholder like this: <asp:Content ID="Content2" ContentPlaceHolderID="ContentPlaceHolder1" runat="Server"> <asp:UpdatePanel ID="UpdatePanel1" runat="server"> <ContentTemplate> <br /> <div id="DivGeneral" runat="server" class="tablaPaddingFiveCeleste"> as you can see the "DivGeneral" is the one i want to load into the overlay, wich is defined like this: <a href="TipoFactorSeleccion.aspx" rel="#overlay"> <button type="button"> Pagina Externa</button> </a> <!-- overlayed element --> <div class="apple_overlay" id="overlay"> <!-- the external content is loaded inside this tag --> <div class="contentWrap"> </div> </div> <script type="text/javascript"> $(function() { // if the function argument is given to overlay, // it is assumed to be the onBeforeLoad event listener $("a[rel]").overlay({ expose: 'darkred', effect: 'apple', onBeforeLoad: function() { // grab wrapper element inside content var wrap = this.getContent().find(".contentWrap"); // load the page specified in the trigger wrap.load(this.getTrigger().attr("href")); } }); }); </script> As it is now its loading the entire page into the overlay and that's not good for me cause it inherites from the same masterpage as the other. I need to keep that masterpage because it has some important aplication functionality. What can I do ? Thank you very much.

  • Boost.Python wrapping hierarchies avoiding diamond inheritance

    - by stbuton
    I'm having some trouble seeing what the best way to wrap a series of classes with Boost.Python while avoiding messy inheritance problems. Say I have the classes A, B, and C with the following structure: struct A { virtual void foo(); virtual void bar(); virtual void baz(); }; struct B : public A { virtual void quux(); }; struct C : public A { virtual void foobar(); }; I want to wrap all classes A, B, and C such that they are extendable from Python. The normal method for accomplishing this would be along the lines of: struct A_Wrapper : public A, boost::python::wrapper<A> { //dispatch logic for virtual functions }; Now for classes B and C which extend from A I would like to be able to inherit and share the wrapping implementation for A. So I'd like to be able to do something along the lines of: struct B_Wrapper : public B, public A_Wrapper, public boost::python::wrapper<B> { //dispatch logic specific for B }; struct C_Wrapper : public C, public A_Wrapper, public boost::python::wrapper<C> { //dispatch logic specific for C } However, it seems like that would introduce all manner of nastiness with the double inheritance of the boost wrapper base and the double inheritance of A in the B_Wrapper and C_Wrapper objects. Is there a common way that this instance is solved that I'm missing? thanks.

  • How to make a grid in a DataTemplate for a ItemTemplate auto-size to ListBox width?

  • How to simulate inner exception in C++

    - by Siva Chandran
    Basically I want to simulate .NET Exception.InnerException in C++. I want to catch exception from bottom layer and wrap it with another exception and throw again to upper layer. The problem here is I don't know how to wrap the catched exception inside another exception. struct base_exception : public std::exception { std::exception& InnerException; base_exception() : InnerException(???) { } // <---- what to initialize with base_exception(std::exception& innerException) : InnerException(innerException) { } }; struct func1_exception : public base_exception { const char* what() const throw() { return "func1 exception"; } }; struct func2_exception : public base_exception { const char* what() const throw() { return "func2 exception"; } }; void func2() { throw func2_exception(); } void func1() { try { func2(); } catch(std::exception& e) { throw func2_exception(e); // <--- is this correct? will the temporary object will be alive? } } int main(void) { try { func1(); } catch(base_exception& e) { std::cout << "Got exception" << std::endl; std::cout << e.what(); std::cout << "InnerException" << std::endl; std::cout << e.InnerException.what(); // <---- how to make sure it has inner exception ? } } In the above code listing I am not sure how to initialize the "InnerException" member when there is no inner exception. Also I am not sure whether the temporary object that is thrown from func1 will survive even after func2 throw?

  • Drupal theme preprocess function - primary links

    - by slimcady
    I recently wrote a theme function to add a class to my primary links that works great. I then wrote some css classes to style these links with custom background images. Worked out great. Now comes the problem, the link text for the primary links still is displayed. Normally this isn't a problem as I would just wrap the in a with a custom "hide" class. For example: <span class="hide"><a href="#">Link Text</a></span> So my question is how can I loop through the primary links and wrap the text w/ a <span> like my example? Here's my theme function that I used to add my classes. function zkc_preprocess_page(&$vars, $hook) { // Make a shortcut for the primary links variables $primary_links = $vars['primary_links']; // Loop thru the menu, adding a new class for CSS selectors $i = 1; foreach ($primary_links as $link => $attributes){ // Append the new class to existing classes for each menu item $class = $attributes['attributes']['class'] . " item-$i"; // Add revised classes back to the primary links temp variable $primary_links[$link]['$attributes']['class'] = $class; $i++; } // end the foreach loop // reset the variable to contain the new markup $vars['primary_links'] = $primary_links; }

  • Json HTTP Module stream issue

    - by Justin
    Hey, I have an HTTP Module that I use to clean up the JSON returned by my web service (see http://www.codeproject.com/KB/webservices/ASPNET_JSONP.aspx?msg=3400287#xx3400287xx for an example of this.) Basically it relates to calling cross-domain JSON web services from javascript. There is this JsonHttpModule which uses a JsonResponseFilter Stream class to write out the JSON and the overloaded Write method is supposed to wrap the name of the callback function around the JSON, otherwise the JSON errors out as needing a label. However, if the JSON is really long, the Write method in the Stream class is called multiple times, causing the callback function to incorrectly get inserted midway through the JSON. Is there a way in the Stream class to wrap the callback function around the stream at the end or to specify that it write all of the JSON in 1 Write method instead of in chunks?? Here's where it calls the JsonResponseFilter in the JsonHttpModule: public void OnReleaseRequestState(object sender, EventArgs e) { HttpApplication app = (HttpApplication)sender; if (!_Apply(app.Context.Request)) return; // apply response filter to conform to JSONP app.Context.Response.Filter = new JsonResponseFilter(app.Context.Response.Filter, app.Context); } Here's the Write method in the JsonResponseFilter Stream class that gets called multiple times: public override void Write(byte[] buffer, int offset, int count) { var b1 = Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes(_context.Request.Params["callback"] + "("); _responseStream.Write(b1, 0, b1.Length); _responseStream.Write(buffer, offset, count); var b2 = Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes(");"); _responseStream.Write(b2, 0, b2.Length); } Thanks for any help! • Colour manipulation of custom tags in niceEdit HTML editor ( JS / DOM )

    - by Chris
    Hi, I would like to be able to highlight, during typing and in real time, certain custom tags in the format #tag_name# within the text of a nicEdit instance ( http://nicedit.com/ ). My current attempt to implement as close to this as possible revolves around using the blur event of the editor to highlight the tags once the editor loses focus. I then use the following logic to wrap the tags in a span with a highlight class.. htmlEditor.addEvent( "blur", function( ) { str = nicEditors.findEditor( "html_content" ).getContent( ); // Remove existing spans first, leaving just the tag ( this could mess up if the html has been edited directly ) str = str.replace( /(<span class=\"highlight\">)(.[^<]+)(<\/span>)/gi, "$2" ); // Then wrap all instances of a particular tag with the highlight span str = str.replace( /#tag_name#/gi, "<span class='highlight'>#tag_name#</span>" ); nicEditors.findEditor( "html_content" ).setContent( str ); }); This is not ideal as my actual text now contains unwanted spans ( I only want the highlighting for the user's input experience, not to be saved to the database ). Obviously I could remove the spans before saving the text but the whole system is currently open to errors ( If the html is directly edited then other text may get highlighted etc ). What I would like to know is.. Is there any way to directly change the colour of the tags in the editor or DOM without using a mechanism such as this? Perhaps a way of colouring the text in memory rather than changing the HTML ? Any ideas ? Regards Chris P

  • SQL Server Index cost

    - by yellowstar
    I have read that one of the tradeoffs for adding table indexes in SQL Server is the increased cost of insert/update/delete queries to benefit the performance of select queries. I can conceptually understand what happens in the case of an insert because SQL Server has to write entries into each index matching the new rows, but update and delete are a little more murky to me because I can't quite wrap my head around what the database engine has to do. Let's take DELETE as an example and assume I have the following schema (pardon the pseudo-SQL) TABLE Foo col1 int ,col2 int ,col3 int ,col4 int PRIMARY KEY (col1,col2) INDEX IX_1 col3 INCLUDE col4 Now, if I issue the statement DELETE FROM Foo WHERE col1=12 AND col2 > 34 I understand what the engine must do to update the table (or clustered index if you prefer). The index is set up to make it easy to find the range of rows to be removed and do so. However, at this point it also needs to update IX_1 and the query that I gave it gives no obvious efficient way for the database engine to find the rows to update. Is it forced to do a full index scan at this point? Does the engine read the rows from the clustered index first and generate a smarter internal delete against the index? It might help me to wrap my head around this if I understood better what is going on under the hood, but I guess my real question is this. I have a database that is spending a significant amount of time in delete and I'm trying to figure out what I can do about it. When I display the execution plan for the deletion, it just shows an entry for "Clustered Index Delete" on table Foo which lists in the details section the other indices that need to be updated but I don't get any indication of the relative cost of these other indices. Are they all equal in this case? Is there some way that I can estimate the impact of removing one or more of these indices without having to actually try it?

  • WPF Custom ListBox as Buttons Click not firing

    - by Ryan
    I am attempting to have a ListBox of TextBoxes with click events. I have read that one way to achieve this was to have a list of Buttons and call ButtonBase.Click="" on the ListBox. This was not working. Any advice as to how I would hook up a click event to the listbox items? Thanks <Window.Resources> <ControlTemplate x:Key="MouseOverFocusTemplate" > <Grid> <Grid.RowDefinitions> <RowDefinition Height="55*" /> </Grid.RowDefinitions> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> • Simple typemap example in swig java

    - by celil
    I am trying to wrap a native C++ library using swig, and I am stuck at trying to convert time_t in C, to long in Java. I have successfully used swig with python, but so far I am unable to get the above typemap to work in Java. In python it looks like this %typemap(in) time_t { if (PyLong_Check($input)) $1 = (time_t) PyLong_AsLong($input); else if (PyInt_Check($input)) $1 = (time_t) PyInt_AsLong($input); else if (PyFloat_Check($input)) $1 = (time_t) PyFloat_AsDouble($input); else { PyErr_SetString(PyExc_TypeError,"Expected a large number"); return NULL; } } %typemap(out) time_t { $result = PyLong_FromLong((long)$1); } I guess the in map from Java to C would be: %typemap(in) time_t { $1 = (time_t) $input; } How would I complete the out map from C to Java? %typemap(out) time_t ??? Would I need typemaps like the ones below? %typemap(jni) %typemap(jtype) %typemap(jstype) I need this in order to wrap C functions like this: time_t manipulate_time (time_t dt);

  • WPF DockPanel doesn't respect the "Filled" control's desired size

    - by Dan Puzey
    I have the following Xaml (simplified for brevity, but will repro the problem in Xamlpad or Kaxaml): <DockPanel Width="400"> <TextBlock DockPanel.Dock="Left" TextWrapping="Wrap"> Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Vestibulum massa metus, ornare in fringilla nec, fringilla at orci. Nunc pharetra enim sit amet sapien aliquet eu euismod turpis vehicula. Aenean gravida tempus lectus ut ornare. Nullam massa augue, suscipit vel consectetur fringilla, pretium vitae neque. </TextBlock> <Button MinWidth="100" VerticalAlignment="Center" HorizontalAlignment="Left">Hello world</Button> </DockPanel> My problem is that I want the Button to take its minimum 100px of space, and for the text to wrap suitably to leave that space. However, what happens is that the text wraps as close to 400px as possible, and then the Button is clipped. If I Snoop the output I can see that the button is rendering at the desired 100px, but it's being clipped off the side of the DockPanel. If I reverse the Dock (so the button is docked "Right" and the TextBlock fills) then I get the layout I want, but unfortunately that's not an option due to the surrounding layout. Is there something I can do that will make the DockPanel a) not clip and b) layout in a way that respects the MinWidth? Or am I stuck finding an alternative layout mechanism? Thanks in advance!

  • Why does my GridSplitter not work at all?

    - by Crippledsmurf
    I'm migrating a WinForms app to WPF. Everything has gone well so far except in relation to my attempts to use GridSplitter which I can never seam to make resize anything at run-time. To make sure it wasn't just my code I attempted to compile the GridSplitter sample from LearnWPF.com and it doesn't appear to work either. I am expecting to see the standard resize cursor when I mouse over the splitter which doesn't happen, and as far as I can see there is no other visual representation of the splitter in the window either. What am I missing here? <Window x:Class="UI.Test" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" Title="Test" Height="300" Width="300"> <Grid> <Grid> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition /> <ColumnDefinition /> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <StackPanel Background="#feca00" Grid.Column="0"> <TextBlock FontSize="35" Foreground="#58290A" TextWrapping="Wrap">Left Hand Side</TextBlock> </StackPanel> <GridSplitter/> <Border CornerRadius="10" BorderBrush="#58290A" BorderThickness="5" Grid.Column="1"> <TextBlock FontSize="25" Margin="20" Foreground="#FECA00" TextWrapping="Wrap">Right Hand Side</TextBlock> </Border> </Grid>

  • miglayout: can't get right-alignment to work

    - by Jason S
    Something's not right here. I'm trying to get the rightmost button (labeled "help" in the example below) to be right-aligned to the JFrame, and the huge buttons to have their width tied to the JFrame but be at least 180px each. I got the huge button constraint to work, but not the right alignment. I thought the right alignment was accomplished by gapbefore push (as in this other SO question), but I can't figure it out. Can anyone help me? import javax.swing.JButton; import javax.swing.JFrame; import javax.swing.JPanel; import net.miginfocom.swing.MigLayout; public class RightAlignQuestion { public static void main(String[] args) { JFrame frame = new JFrame("right align question"); JPanel mainPanel = new JPanel(); frame.setContentPane(mainPanel); mainPanel.setLayout(new MigLayout("insets 0", "[grow]", "")); JPanel topPanel = new JPanel(); topPanel.setLayout(new MigLayout("", "[][][][]", "")); for (int i = 0; i < 3; ++i) topPanel.add(new JButton("button"+i), ""); topPanel.add(new JButton("help"), "gapbefore push, wrap"); topPanel.add(new JButton("big button"), "span 3, grow"); JPanel bottomPanel = new JPanel(); bottomPanel.setLayout(new MigLayout("", "[180:180:,grow][180:180:,grow]","100:")); bottomPanel.add(new JButton("tweedledee"), "grow"); bottomPanel.add(new JButton("tweedledum"), "grow"); mainPanel.add(topPanel, "grow, wrap"); mainPanel.add(bottomPanel, "grow"); frame.pack(); frame.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE); frame.setVisible(true); } }

  • How to position an element next to another an element of undefined position?

    - by allin
    Hi, I am very new to html/xml/css and I'm trying my best to teach myself. However, I have run into a problem that a Google search could not solve. I would like to position a small image in a fixed location relative to another element(?) I believe this is the code of the element i want to position the second element relative to. #wrap { width:550px; background-color:#fff; margin:0 auto; padding:0; border-right:1px solid #ccc; border-left:1px solid #ccc; } #container { width: 500px; margin:0 auto; padding: 25px; font-size:.85em; background-color: #fff; } and this is partial code I'm trying to edit to position .xyz to the right of "#wrap" .xyz { position: ???; top: 200px; right: ???; _position: ???; _margin: ???; _text-align: right; z-index: 1337; } my search of SOF has lead me to believe i'm supposed to do something along the lines of this - http://stackoverflow.com/questions/104953/position-an-html-element-relative-to-its-container-using-css - but i haven't been able to. I greatly appreciate any help you may offer. Hopefully I've explained my problem properly.

  • How can a ListBoxItem property be set in Silverlight at runtime?

    - by sympatric greg
    Given this XAML, I need to resize the userControl in response to user input. How can I set a new width for ListBoxItem (or perhaps the StackPanel)? <ScrollViewer x:Name="ScrollViewer" Margin="0" BorderBrush="Transparent" Width="165" VerticalScrollBarVisibility="Auto" HorizontalScrollBarVisibility="Hidden"> <ListBox x:Name="AttributeListBox" ItemsSource="{Binding Attributes}" BorderBrush="Red" Width="160" Foreground="AntiqueWhite" Background="Transparent" IsEnabled="False" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch"> <ListBox.ItemContainerStyle> <Style TargetType="ListBoxItem"> <Setter Property="HorizontalAlignment" Value="Stretch"/> <Setter Property="Width" Value="150"/> <Setter Property="Margin" Value="0,-2,0,0"/> <Setter Property="HorizontalContentAlignment" Value="Left" /> <Setter Property="Template" Value="{StaticResource ListBoxItemSansFocus}" /> </Style> </ListBox.ItemContainerStyle> <ListBox.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> <StackPanel x:Name="ListBoxItemStackPanel" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" Orientation="Vertical" > <TextBlock FontSize="10" Text="{Binding Key}" Foreground="White" FontWeight="Bold" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" Margin="2,0,0,0" TextWrapping="Wrap"/> <TextBlock FontSize="10" Text="{Binding Value}" Foreground="White" Margin="6,-2,0,0" TextWrapping="Wrap"/> </StackPanel> </DataTemplate> </ListBox.ItemTemplate> </ListBox> </ScrollViewer>

  • KERN-EXEC 3 when navigating within a text box (Symbian OS Browser Control)

    - by Andrew Flanagan
    I've had nothing but grief using Symbian's browser control on S60 3rd edition FP1. We currently display pages and many things are working smoothly. However, when inputting text into an HTML text field, the user will get a KERN-EXEC 3 if they move left at the beginning of the text input area (which should "wrap" it to the end) or if they move right at the end of the text input area (which should "wrap" it to the beginning). I can't seem to trap the input in OfferKeyEventL. I get the key event, I return EKeyWasConsumed and the cursor still moves. TKeyResponse CMyAppContainer::OfferKeyEventL(const TKeyEvent& aKeyEvent, TEventCode aType) { if (iBrCtlInterface) // My browser control { TBrCtlDefs::TBrCtlElementType type = iBrCtlInterface->FocusedElementType(); if (type == TBrCtlDefs::EElementActivatedInputBox || type == TBrCtlDefs::EElementInputBox) { if (aKeyEvent.iScanCode == EStdKeyLeftArrow || aKeyEvent.iScanCode == EStdKeyRightArrow) { return EKeyWasConsumed; } } } } I would be okay with completely disabling arrow key navigation but can't seem to do this. Any ideas? Am I going about this the wrong way? Has anyone here even worked with the Browser Control library (browserengine.lib) on S60 3.1?

  • Monotouch threads, GC, WCF

    - by cvista
    Hi This is a question about best practices i guess but it applies directly to my current MT project. I'm using WCF services to communicate with the server. To do this i do the following: services.MethodToCall(params); and the asynch: services.OnMethodToCallCompleted += delegate{ //do stuff and ting }; This can lead to issues if you're not careful in that variables defined within the scope of the asynch callback can sometimes be cleaned up by the gc and this can cause crashes. So - I am making it a practice to declare these outside of the scope of the callback unless I am 100% sure they are not needed. Now - when doing stuff and ting implies changing the ui - i wrap it all in an InvokeOnMainThread call. I guess wrapping everything in this would slow the main thread down and rubbish the point of having multi threads. Even though I'm being careful about all this i am still getting crashes and I have no idea why! I am certain it has something to do with threads, scope and all that. Now - the only thing I can think of outside of updating the UI that may need to happen inside of InvokeOnMainThread is that I have a singleton 'Database' class. This is based on the version 5 code from this thread http://www.yoda.arachsys.com/csharp/singleton.html So now if the service method returns data that needs to be added/updated to the Database class -I also wrap this inside an InvokeOnMainThread call. Still getting random crashes. So... My question is this: I am new to thick client dev - I'm coming from a web dev perspective where we don't need to worry about threads so much :) Aside from what I have mentioned -are there any other things I should be aware of? Is the above stuff correct? Or am i miss-understanding something? Cheers w://
