• How to return all aspnet_compiler errors (not just those in first directory)

  Hi there! Is there a way to get the aspnet_compiler to go through all views and return all errors, rather than just the errors in the current view directory? For example, lets say I have a project that has a bunch of folders... Views Folder1 Folder2 Folder3 Folder4 Two of them (Folder2 and Folder3) have errors. aspnet_compiler will run, and only return the errors it comes across in Folder2. It won't return those in Folder3 at the same time. Once I fix the errors in Folder2 and run it again, it'll then pick up the ones in the Folder3. I fix those. And then have to run the tool again, and again until it's all fixed. This is getting annoying!! For reference, here's the command I use: C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_compiler -v / -p "C:\path\to\project" Thanks in advance!

  I read the following page: Robert Benson's article on ECF developers.sun.com/solaris/articles/event_completion.html I also read the Solaris man pages but they are not very clear of how to use event notifications for directories. For example, If I add a new file into a directory, I would like to get some notification of that event. I found this link: blogs.sun.com/praks/entry/file_events_notification Which has what I need but it is for Solaris 11 ( which is not in the market yet).   I'm currently writing a little zsh function that checks all of my git repositories to see if they're dirty or not and then prints out the ones that need a commit. Thus far, I've figured out that the quickest way to figure out a git repository's clean/dirty status is via git-diff and git-ls-files: if ! git diff --quiet || git ls-files --others --exclude-standard; then state=":dirty" fi I have two questions for you folks: Does anyone know of a quicker, more efficient way to check for file changes/additions in a git repo? I want my zsh function to be handed a file path (say ~/Code/git-repos/) and check all of the repositories in it. Is there a way to do without having to cd into each directory and run those commands? Something like git-diff --quiet --git-dir="~/Code/git-repos/..." would be fantastic. Thanks! :)

• NSIS Uninstaller Working Directory

  I am using NSIS to create my installers/uninstallers, and the uninstaller seems to have a weird behavior. I don't put the installer in $INSTDIR, it is located at $INSTDIR/subdir/uninstall.exe (it's a addon installer for a host application). When I run the installer then, it thinks the application installation root is $INSTDIR/subdir instead of $INSTDIR. It then can't find all the files in subdir/* as it's already in subdir. If I move the executable, it seems to just accept the current directory as where the application installation root is. I can move it to $INSTDIR and all is well. Thanks.

  Hello, I am trying to get the code to list all the directories in a folder, change directory into that folder and get the name of the current folder. The code I have so far is below and isn't working at the minute. I seem to be getting the parent folder name. import os for directories in os.listdir(os.getcwd()): dir = os.path.join('/home/user/workspace', directories) os.chdir(dir) current = os.path.dirname(dir) new = str(current).split("-")[0] print new I also have other files in the folder but I do not want to list them. • Unable to install Maven: "JAVA_HOME is set to an invalid directory"

  I followed the Maven tutorial to the letter but I still can't get Maven installed. When I run the following in command prompt: E:\Documents and Settings\zach>mvn --version I get: 'mvn' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. I navigated to the maven install folder and ran mvn --version and got: E:\java resources\apache-maven-2.2.0\bin>mvn --version ERROR: JAVA_HOME is set to an invalid directory. JAVA_HOME = "E:\Sun\SDK\jdk\bin" Please set the JAVA_HOME variable in your environment to match the location of your Java installation but when I run java -version I get: java version "1.6.0_14" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_14-b08) Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 14.0-b16, mixed mode) So I do have Java installed. Anyone know what the problem is?

• Problem with images in upload directory after upgrading WordPress to 3.0

  I've developed a WordPress plugin and it wordked well from WP 2.0 and up to WP 3.0rc1 (haven't tried rc2) but now with rc3 and milestone 3.0 a strange and irritating error appeared. If you check out my demo page you will se that none of the cover-images is working. they are in the same place as before but they can not be hotlinked or show up when i enter the correct url. if i move the img-directory from /wp-content/uploads/my-record-collection/ to /wp-content/uploads/ the images show up if i enter the url, but not if i move it back inside my "my-record-collection"-folder. anyone know what change in rc3(or maybe rc2) that made this bug appear and what can be done to fix it?

  I just installed Eclipse. The Eclipse created the "workspace" folder. In this folder I created a "game" sub-folder (for my class called "game"). I have already .java files for that project (I wrote them in a text editor before I started to use Eclipse). I put all my .java file into the "game" directory. In Eclipse I created a "New Java Project" from existing code. What wanders me is that the Eclipse create a "src" sub-folder into my "game" folder. As far as I understand "src" stands for "source". But my source (.java files) is in the "game" (by the construction). Am I doing something wrong?

  I'm using dragonfly gem to manage images and attachments in my rails app and I need to store images in a specific directory structure based on my user model. let' say I have user model which has a name and each user has many albums, which have a name also, then I want the images to be stored in "#{RAILS_ROOT}/public/system/#{user.name}/#{user.album.name}/#{suffix}" I've managed to changed the root_path in dragon fly and I even overrided relative_storage_path like this: class MyDataStore < Dragonfly::DataStorage::FileDataStore private def relative_storage_path(suffix) "#{suffix}" end end but still, I don't know how I can pass the ActiveRecord object attributes like user.name and user.album.name to relative_storage_path to create my ideal path. do you have any idea how I can do such a thing?

• gvim "open in new window" should change directory to the one of the current file

  Hi I'm working in gvim with sessions and tabs, and everything works great. However there is something that is bothering me. Say I have two files open: /A/B/foo.ext and /C/D/E/bar.ext, the latter being opened last. Now say I want to open /A/B/foobar.ext. I have to go through the hassle of navigating upwards to / and from there to /A/B. I would like to simply change my active tab to /A/B/foo.ext and have gvim automatically change its active directory to /A/B/, so that when I want to open /A/B/foobar.ext with /A/B/foo.ext being active, I'm already in the right CWD. This would be very time-saving if you work with two different projects at a time and need to switch back and forth between the two. Is there any such script that does just that? Thanks.

  I'm going through exercises of a C++ book. For each exercise I want to minimize the boilerplate code I have to write. I've set up my project a certain way but it doesn't seem right, and requires too many changes. Right now I have a single main.cpp file with the following: #include "e0614.h" int main() { E0614 ex; ex.solve(); } Each time I create a new class from an exercise, I have to come and modify this file to change the name of the included header as well as the class i'm instantiating. So my questions are: Can I include all headers in the directory so at least I don't have to change the #include line? Better yet, can I rewrite my solution so that I don't even have to touch main.cpp, without having one file with all the code for every exercise in it?

  Hi, I have a CMS application that manages multiple websites, today whenever i change the codebehind of one of these websites - i have to rebuild the dll for all websites, deploy it - this disconnects all current sessions and is really bad. The iis is configured to listen to all domain requests, if the request is to one of the websites' domain , the application rewrites it, or example, if someone requests for http://www.example.com, and example.com is configured in the application to be website 12, it is rewritten to http://www.example.com/websites/12/default.aspx. This is done for all websites. We want to seperate the dlls of the websites from each other, and from the main CMS, we have a virtual directory to each websites, but when trying to rewrite to it, we discover that IIS support this (we get an "Could not load type '_12._Default'". error). How can we perform this rewrite so it does rewrite to virtual directories, or if anyone has any other solution for the initial dll seperation problem. Thanks in advance

What do we need is to be able to make Jenkins to checkout (or should I say clone?) the GIT project (repository?) into a specific directory. Furthermore, if in the same Jenkins project we need to checkout several private GitHub repositories into several separate dirs under a project root. How can we do it please? • Publish web application from MSBuild Script using VS2010 targets resets working directory

  I am trying to automatically publish and deploy my .Net 4 web application automatically from a build script to be run by our continuous integration server. I am using the new _WPPCopyWebApplication target from VS2010 to perform the publish, however it appears to reset the current working directory of the msbuild project to c:\ this causes my prebuild steps to fail as they have relative paths to some external tools. • Getting user data from Active Directory using PL/SQL

  I had a discussion today regarding an Oracle procedure I wrote some time ago. I wanted to get 7500 user email addresses from Active Directory using PL/SQL. AD will return a maximum of 1000 rows and the LDAP provider used by Oracle will not support paging. Therefore, my solution was to filter on the last two characters of the sAMAccountName (*00,*01,*02...etc.). This results in 126 queries (100 for account names ending in digits, 26 for those ending in a letter...this was sufficient for my AD setup). The person I was speaking to (it was a job interview by the way) said he could have done it a better way, but he would not tell me what that method was. Could anybody hazard a guess at what this method was?

  I just inherited an ASP.NET WebForms web application that I was tasked with refactoring. One of the features is a file upload and while debugging I noticed that as soon as a file is posted to a certain page/handler, it is automatically uploaded to the root directory of the application. The file is then moved to the proper location. I can't seem to figure out whats causing this automatic upload of the file. Is there something I'am overlooking in ASP.NET WebForms that allows this to happen? Is it an IIS configuration or something?

• Forward web request for directory index ('/') to an index.htm page in JBoss 4.0.5

  I am using JBoss 4.0.5.GA to run a set of java applications. One of them is a web frontend, using Spring 1.4. URL mappings are configured in a way that 'fake' pages from request URLs are mapped to controllers. That means that when someone requests /index.htm, there's no actual 'index.htm' on disk, and that request maps to a specific conroller which then renders a jsp view. So the problem is as follows: I need to tell JBoss to somehow forward all requests for directory indices to corresponding 'index.htm' URLs like so: / ? /index.htm; /news/ ? /news/index.htm; /foo/bar/baz/ ? /foo/bar/baz/index.htm and so on. I can't use Tomcat's welcome-file-list feature because it looks for those files on disk, while all 'index.htm's are fake and don't actually exist on disk.

So whenever a web service call is made to IIS web services, there is a double handshake taking place: Client Request #1 GetEmployeeList Server Response #1 <- 401 HTTP/1.1 401 Unauthorized WWW-Authenticate: Negotiate WWW-Authenticate: NTLM Client Request #2 REQUEST Header... Server Response #2 <- 200 Data Received Lately, however, Server Response #1 will sometimes (a good 20 percent of the calls) take a massive amount of time (like 25 to 30 seconds). How do I debug this problem? Is this a Active Directory problem or a Domain Controller problem?

• Model in sub-directory via app_label?

  In order to place my models in sub-folders I tried to use the app_label Meta field as described here. My directory structure looks like this: project apps foo models _init_.py bar_model.py In bar_model.py I define my Model like this: from django.db import models class SomeModel(models.Model): field = models.TextField() class Meta: app_label = "foo" I can successfully import the model like so: from apps.foo.models.bar_model import SomeModel However, running: ./manage.py syncdb does not create the table for the model. In verbose mode I do see, however, that the app "foo" is properly recognized (it's in INSTALLED_APPS in settings.py). Moving the model to models.py under foo does work. Is there some specific convention not documented with app_label or with the whole mechanism that prevents this model structure from being recognized by syncdb?
