  • upgrading windows service using inno setup

    Hi, I've created a basic windows service installation using Inno Setup. both install and uninstall works properly. However, I'm having issues with upgrading the service executable. it is needed to stop the service, and only ofter the service is completly stopped- the new executables should be placed in the target folder. how can I execute a service-stop command and wait for the service to actually stopped before the file copy step is initiate? thanks!

    Whenever I use 'n' to step over a line it steps into it instead. This happens to me on all the versions of jruby i've tried, the latest being 1.3.1 Does it work right for anyone? I'm wondering if there's any easy way of adapting this for a non-CCK form that I'd be calling by drupal_get_form. I'd rather not have to re-invent the wheel with multi-step form techniques.   • Git - ssh key / ip address

    When I set up Git, I did it while using a dsl modem, and my ip isn't static, so when I generated the ssh keys for Git, it was based on that ip. When I'm assigned an ip other than the one used to generate the ssh Git keys, I can manually change the ip address to the one used to generate the keys. What are my other options to bypass this step? Dynamic DNS? Is there another way?

    I am using msdb..sp_help_job to access whether a job succeeded or failed and can retrieve a general error. But, I want to access the specific error for the step that failed. I cannot seem to find it. It is not in this list of helpful stored procedures provided by MS http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms187763%28v=SQL.100%29.aspx The account running the query is limited but does have the SQLUserAgent role and owns the Jobs that it is accessing.

  • What are the performance implications of wildcard mapping all requests through IIS 6.0?

    I am interested in using UrlRewriter.NET and noticed in the config page for IIS 6.0 on Win2k3, that they say to map all requests through the ASP.NET ISAPI. That's fine, but I am wondering if anyone has good or bad things to say about this performance wise? Is my web server going to be dragged down to its knees by doing this or will it be more of a small step up in server load? My server currently has room to breathe now, so some performance hit is expected and acceptable.

    I have a SSIS package I am trying to schedule. I create a new job under SQL Server Agent. On the Command line tab of the jobstep, I choose "Edit the command-line manually". The changes are retained as I switch from tab to tab within the job step but whenever I exit and save the job, the changes are lost. Any ideas what's going on? I'm on SQL Server 2008.

As I progress, it becomes obvious that some methods could become private, but if I make that change, the tests that access them won't work.     Hi everyone, I've been launching Xcode from Quicksilver quite happily for weeks. Suddenly late yesterday, without changing either Xcode or Quicksilver, it started appearing like this: Screenshot There's no "open" option in the action list anymore. I rebooted with no joy. All my other applications launch. Xcode still launches from Spotlight. It just seems to be any app under /Developer/Applications. Any suggestions? cheers,Step

    Hello: we currently do not use asp.net controls (no web forms). The way we do is: 1 Read HTML file from disk 2 lookup database, parse tags and populate data finally, Response.Write(page.ToString()); here there is no possibility of using asp.net controls. What I am wondering is, if we use asp.net controls in those HTML files, is there way to process them during step 2? Thanks and appreciate your response.
