• internationalisation in django

  Hello , I am doing internationalisation in django admin.I am able to convert all my text to the specific langauge.But i m not able to change the 'app' name suppose django-admin.py startapp test this will create a app called test inside my project.Inside this app 'test' i can create many classes in my model.py file.But when i register my app 'test' in settings.py file.I am convert all the text in the locale of my browser but my app heading 'test' is not getting changed.How to change that any idea?

  I have a dropdownlist that holds all of the TimeZone.Displayname All of these display names come out as: (GMT +09:00) Seoul, (GMT -06:00) Central Time (US & Canada), etc. Is there a way to have a keypress event that would search through the first letter after the ")"? Right now it only recognizes the first character of the combobox string which is "(" EDIT Changed title because timezones don't really have to do with the issue.

  I want to log web site visits' IP, datetime, client and refferer data to access database but I'm planning to log every days log data in separate tables in example logs for 06.06.2010 will be logged in 2010_06_06 named table. When date is changed I'll create a table named 2010_06_07. But the problem is if this table is already created. Any suggestions how to check if table exists in Access?

• Is it possible for a java.lang.Process to inherit the environement variables from another java.lang.

  I am trying to use groovy to do shell scripting on unix, but I am not having any luck having one process retain the environment variables changed by another process. For example, def p1 = ["bash", "-c", "source /some/setEnv.sh"].execute() Now, I would like a second process, p2, to inherit the environment variables that was set in p1. How can I do this? I don't see anything in java.lang.Process or its groovy extension that would spit out the environment variables after the process has executed.

  Hello Masters, Thanks in advance, I need help in solving php memory problem, I have created a script in php that automatically fetch magento product data,the problem is that when there is large number of product in database, the script gives memory fatal error i have changed the memory limit to 256M in my php.ini but still the script not executing totally. i have checked the script its working fine if there is number of product is not too much but if there is larger number my script not working..   I'm trying to configure the cygwin to work with TWiki, I have to input this in the Cygwin bash shell: mount -b -s c:/... but it doesn't recognize the "-s", I already fixed the problem with -b, it changed the syntax and now is "mount -o binary" for the "mount -b"part. But now it says unknown option with the "-s" anyone?? help?? or what does the -s mean, so I can look it up :S

  I'm following the Railscasts tutorial on using OpenID with AuthLogic. This command: $ script/plugin install git://github.com/rails/open_id_authentication.git installs the plugin, but I don't see any OpenID Rake tasks (rake -T). In particular, I can no longer run the task: $ rake open_id_authentication:db:create With previous applications, the Rake tasks were installed without a problem, so what's changed with the plugin? Which version of the plugin do I need to get the behavior I'm looking for? Using Rails 2.3.5.

  Let's say I have created two objects from class foo and now want to combine the two. How, if at all possible, can I accomplish that within a function like this: def combine(first, second): first.value += second.value del second #this doesn't work, though first.value *does* get changed instead of doing something like def combine(first, second): first.value += second.value in the function and putting del second immediately after the function call?

  I am trying to scrape a wiktionary entry: uri = URI.parse("http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/" + CGI.escape('abjure')) doc = Nokogiri::HTML(open(uri, 'User-Agent' => 'ruby')) but the doc shows no elements for this word. The other words work fine and this word used to work. I have no idea what changed. Anyone see anything wrong with this?

• Prevent change of hidden field

  What if I have ChangePassword form with hidden ID field of the user. BadPerson knows id of GoodPerson. He opens Change Password form with FireBug, changes his Id to GoodPerson's Id, so password changes for GoodPerson. Of course I can create some server logic that will prevent this, but I think there should be some out of the box solution, wich throws if hidden field been changed, wich I don't know.   When using immutable dictionaries in F# , how much overhead is there when adding / removing entries? Will it treat entire buckets as immutable and clone those and only recreate the bucket whos item has changed? Even if that is the case, it seems like there is alot of copying that needs to be done in order to create the new dictionary(?)

• MVC app not working on server but is fine on development machine

  Hello, I am able to run my application just fine on my dev machine but as soon as I publish it to the web server some functionality is lost. Any type of .ajax POST does not work usually with a 401 unauthorized error. The server is Windows 2008 with IIS7. I also installed Visual Studio 2008 with MVC2 on the server and ran the application directly on the server and the same .ajax POST does not work but the error changed to 500 unknown.   I have model, Match, with two foreign keys: class Match(model.Model): winner = models.ForeignKey(Player) loser = models.ForeignKey(Player) When I loop over Match I find that each model instance uses a unique object for the foreign key.   I tried the reg expression ^([a-zA-Z0-9_.-])+@([a-zA-Z0-9_.-])+\.([a-zA-Z])+([a-zA-Z])+ for the email validation. Since I want the user to allow submitting even with the empty email address. So I changed the reg ex to (^([a-zA-Z0-9_.-])+@([a-zA-Z0-9_.-])+\.([a-zA-Z])+([a-zA-Z])+)? But this expression accepts any email address without any validation.
