  • Delphi getting property value of a member from ClassType

    I am implementing a Boilerplate feature - allow users to Change descriptions of some components - like Tlabels - at run time. e.g. TFooClass = Class ( TBaseClass) Label : Tlabel; ... End; Var FooClass : TFooClass; ... At Design time, the value Label's caption property is say - 'First Name', when the application is run, there is a feature that allows the user to change the caption value to say 'Other Name'. Once this is changed, the caption for the label for the class instance of FooClass is updated immediately. The problem now is if the user for whatever reason wants to revert back to the design time value of say 'First Name' , it seems impossible. I can use the RTTIContext methods and all that but I at the end of the day, it seems to require the instance of the class for me to change the value and since this has already being changed - I seem to to have hit a brick wall getting around it. My question is this - is there a way using the old RTTI methods or the new RTTIContext stuff to the property of a class' member without instantiating the class - i.e. getting the property from the ClassType definition.   • What is auto-mounting my media volume?

    Something is repeatedly mounting my "media" share, doing something with it, then quietly un-mounting it with no notifications at the user level. from the little I can gleaned from the console messages below, I thought I'd managed to stop it, if not understand it last night when I followed instructions for deleting all traces of the Google Update Daemon. I've not been using any Google apps whatsoever, so I was surprised to see that in Console. What's more surprising, and perhaps a little distressing, is that the same thing occurred this evening, when the Google Daemon is long gone. I don't have that log because I can't recall precisely what time it occurred. I'll do a search and provide it if you wish, though. In the meantime, any help with this would be extremely appreciated. I've asked over at Apple Discussions but I think it might be a little deeper than those manning the boards this weekend are comfortable with. It's certainly beyond my meager skills. With apologies in advance if this is more lines thank you need.   • Symfony debug toolbar working intermittently

    I am using SF 1.3.2 with Propel ORM on Ubuntu 9.10 Recently, my debug toolbar has been working intermittently, sometimes, for no apparent reason, clicking it does not display/hide the debugging windows, forcing me to resort to looking directly at the log files. AFAIK, nothing has changed on my machine. Is this a know bug, are there work arounds/fix for this?

  • How to detect if object was updated using Nhibernate?

    I need to find out how to perform some action (flush cache) when an object of type X is updated. So when I save object of type Y, nothing is done, when I save unchanged object of type X nothing should happed, but when this object is changed and UPDATE is made, I want to know it. I tried various NHibernate events (IPostUpdateEventListener, IFlushEntityEventListener, etc.) but did not succeed. Can anybody help please? Thanks

  • How do I lock the layout of my android program to one orientation

    I'm trying to write a program that needs smooth orientation sensor samples as the phone is rotated all around. Every time the orientation of the phone is changed, it interrupts the data and freezes the program while the layout changes. How can I lock it in one orientation (landscape or portrait, it doesn't matter)? I assume it has something to do with android:layout in the xml file, but I can't find anything online.

  • Refactored App Engine project - now Eclipse is infinitely building the project without end

    I renamed some files in my App Engine project and refactored code, changing references to variables. Everything seemed fine until I changed the references in the web.xml for the project. Then I got a complaint about some error with the DataNucleus enhancer and now the project build process is stuck at 22%. I tried stopping Eclipse and restarting but the build process keeps hanging. Any tips on how to clean out whatever it's getting stuck on?

    Hello, I installed Ubunut and got the LAMP stack installed too. Now the problem is I have to be connected to the internet for the local apache webserver to work, else it does not. I also came across 'elseif' but my text editor (textmate) doesn't pick it up as a keyword, not does the program run properly. if name == 'Chris' puts 'What a lovely name.' elseif name == 'Katy' puts 'What a lovely name!' end I'm using the book, Learn to Program, which was written several years ago. I was wondering if the 'elseif' was changed because when I simply use 'else' it seems to function properly

    Hi, I've created a menu with jQuery superfish but I'm having problem when drag-drop on one of the top menu items. .sfHover class is added when pressed on a item and if this item is not clicked and dropped item remains with .sfHover class and because of this, background of the item is changed. How can I fix this problem? Here is the demo.

  • setting z-index jquery ui controls?

    Annoyingly, the jquery ui's set a few css properties inline, making it impossible to override them in the stylesheet. I tried to override the values with jquery, but then they get changed back as soon as the control is interacted with. Does anyone know if any of the jquery ui control's initialisers/constructors have the ability to override their z-index value or set other css properties?

  • VS debugging and watching a variable for changes

    I have a property inside a class that is getting changed by something. The only place I change the value of this code is a line that looks like this: pushpin.Position.Altitude = -31; During visual studio debugging, is there a way to watch .Altitude for any changes made, preferably it breaks at the assignment statement that changes the value. If this is the correct way to track down this problem, could I have a step-by-step tutorial/instruction on how to do this? Thanks.
