• Change Gmail message routing on individual mailboxes

  We are using dual delivery for one of our Google Apps doamins and need to be able to disable mail delivery to the Gmail account. You can manually update the settings on a per user basis through the Admin interface by unchecking the box next to "Google Apps Email" in the Email routing section. From the Google Apps API documentation for the python library it does not appear that I programmatically disable the email routing for "Google Apps Email" on a per user basis. Does anyone know if it's possible? The only routing related method I can find is at the Domain level and not the user level. gdata.apps.adminsettings.service Thank you!

• Integrate Cognos Mobile for iPad to other iOS apps [closed]

  I'm developing an iPad application that will have integration with IBM Cognos in the near future. As part of that integration I have a very special requirement: It should be possible to open my application from Cognos Mobile app (the native app). Common sense tells me it's not possible to do that, since Cognos Mobile is a closed application, but it wouldn't hut to ask anyway. Is it possible to do that? What about the other way around? iOS uses URL Schemas to open apps from other apps, but as far as I know Cognos Mobile doesn't register any Url Schema to interact with it. Thank you!

I want to set is so that mail is routed via google apps as this will give me a much better reputation and mail will not go to the spam folder as much. Doe anyone know how this is done? Would I need to setup IIS to do this? The site is writeen in C# ASP.NET. So Could I perhaps just update the web.config file to route mail via google apps?

• Windows 8 start screen will only find apps matching full words

  Since doing a fresh install of Windows 8 x64 RTM I'm having trouble starting apps from the start screen. In previous version I could just start typing the apps name and I would be presented with a list of matches that decreased in number as I continued typing. In the RTM version I have to type complete words to find a match. i.e. if I want to run powershell I have to type in powershell before I get any hits. Like wise if I want to start Visual Studio I have to type visual before I get a match. If I continue and start typing Studio the match goes away and doesn't return until I finish typing studio. This problem does not affect Setting or Files which show all possible matches. Any ideas what is wrong?

• gtk2/mate apps are choppy on debian testing [migrated]

  I have recently upgraded to a core-i7 system and now all the apps from mate (GTK2 based) are very slow. Basically when I switch to a workspace that has a couple mate-terminals open, they are redrawn as if these were sent over the network. GTK3 apps and firefox work properly and are refreshed instantly. I'm running Debian testing. I have tried to reinstall xorg and related packages and everything seems to work fine except for this. Here is my xorg.log. Any hints?

• aptana/eclipse blocks other apps

  Hi, I've got a fresh win7 installation, the only apps installed so far are aptana (beta 3)/eclipse and firefox + chrome (except antivirus and drivers) Every time I start aptana, chrome and firefox are blocked, so firefox can't load a webpage (or sometimes takes veeeery long) and chrome doesn't even take care of events (so for example hovering over a link doesn't change the cursor and a click does...nothing or typing in an url, press enter - nothing happens) First I thought, aptana downloads something and blocks my internet connection... but IE works well and also there are no signs in the taskmanager (cpu%, network or memory) When I close Aptana, all works as before. I tried updating Java, which didn't help... On my office-computer I use the same apps and it works perfect. Got any ideas? TIA, waquner

  Hello, Is there any mail server that has a feature to download (POP3) emails from another mail server like Google Apps (Gmail for your own domain), store it and then allow to users to download (POP3/IMAP) emails to their own mail client like Outlook/Live Mail? So I want it to become like a "middle mail server". I hope you guys understand it. My main reason to do so is that Google Apps got limited space for each mailbox and I also want to have emails in one space so its easy to archive and backup.

  I recently asked a question on SO about Python web frameworks: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/4909306/python-web-frameworks-vs-java-web-frameworks-how-is-web-development-in-python-do I want to learn one just for fun but it also has to be able to help me deliver a proper working application. I am looking for a framework with lots of features, powerful, mature, with large community, good documentation, books etc. I need something that will help me be more productive in developing my app and not waste time figuring out how to do a certain thing in the framework or how to write workaround around the limitations of the framework. I was thinking one of the following: django, zope, turbogears, pylons. Off course the war is raging out there and there are other alternatives but seems Django is at the top... or is it just hype? I am interested in pros and cons of each. What was the best feature you think the framework has? What is the thing it lacks? What could have been done differently. Help me chose one to learn for starters.

  I need to create a web service that executes every hour. It will be used to review data in a database and add alerts to a table in the same database if certain conditions are met/not met. What we currently have is: We have end devices that use Python to report to an Amazon Web Services (AWS) virtual server. The AWS server takes that information and stores it in a MySQL database. The AWS server is Linux running Django and Apache. I need to be able to have some python code run every hour that verifies the data that has been stored by the end devices. If certain conditions are not met then a record will be added to the alerts table in the database. We originally contracted to have the above setup created. I am new to Python, Django, and Apache. However, I have already made several changes to the Python code that sends and also receives the data from the end devices. I am a coder that is breaking into web programming. Does anyone have any recommendations on how I can do this?

• Multiple sites with the same codebase in Python

  I am trying to run a large amount of sites which share about 90% of their code. They are simply designed to query an API and return the results. They will have a common userbase / database but will be configured slightly different and will have different CSS (perhaps even different templating). My initial idea was to run them as separate applications with a common library but I have read about the sites framework which would allow them to run from a single instance of Django which may help to reduce memory usage. https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/dev/ref/contrib/sites/ Is the site framework the right approach to a problem like this, and does it have real benefits over running separate applications? Initially I thought it was, but now I think otherwise. I have heard the following: Your SITE_ID is set in settings.py, so in order to have multiple sites, you need multiple settings.py configurations, which means multiple distinct processes/instances. You can of course share the code base between them, but each site will need a dedicated worker / WSGIDaemon to serve the site. This effectively removes any benefit of running multiple sites under one hood, if each site needs a UWSGI instance running. Alternative ideas of systems: https://github.com/iivvoo/django_layers https://github.com/shestera/django-multisite I don't know what route to be taking with this.

  I am in a great "problem" so to speak , and I need opinions to decide. The problem is to create a social network without knowing the number of users who use it (but if thinking if they were sufficient ) . The question is which language and framework to use .... I do not mind having to learn new technologies and / or languages ??. I am among PHP ( Laravel - Symfony - other? ) Ruby ( Ruby on Rails 4? ) Javascript ( Ember , express, locomotive , other? ) Python ( Django ) Java ( Grails , Play, other?) I have experience in both PHP and frameworks. In Symfony developed part of it, but I got tired having to do a thousand configurations for all . I know very little about Ruby , but I saw very easy . I do not know are saying the performance. Javascript costs me to get used to their paradigm , and do not know if at all sure to cover everything with Javascript. Django and python ( very poor knowledge ) Java , experience in data structure and android , but not web . Regarding the / s databases: In my head I have to MongoDB and costs change of opinion by another database with respect to documentation and EASE performance . But .......... frameworks have no support at all clear . I also thought of mixing technologies for using a tecnlogía backend and the frontend other. As I read in the new social network Origo . They use Symfony for REST and javascript for the frontend . ( Backbone , Underscore and RequireJS ) What do you recommend me ?

Register the custom table in Oracle Application I am using custom DFF here so I have to register the custom table which I am going to capture the values.Please click here to see the table script. I am using the AD_DD package to register the custom table.Please click here to see the table registration script. Please verify the table has registered successfully. Navigation: Application Developer > Application > Database > Table Table has registered successfully. Register the DFF Next step is to register the DFF. Navigate to Application Developer > Flex Field > Descriptive > Register. Give details as below. Click on Reference Fields and set the Reference Field as ATTRIBUTE_CATEGORY. Context Code Segments Global Data Elements Phone Number Email Fax Contractor Manager Extension Number CSP Name Permanent Extension Number Access Card Number Phone Number,Email and Fax displays always.When user choose Context Value as "Contractor" Manager Extension Number and CSP Name will show.In case of "Permanent" Extension Number and Access Card Number will show.  Assign value set also as follows. For Global Data Elements following are the segments. For "Contractor" following are the segments. For "Permanent" following are the segments. Check the "Freeze Flexfield Definition" check box and save.Standard concurrent program "Flexfield View Generator" will generate XXCUST_DFF_DEMO_DFV view which we mentioned in the DFF registration step.  Now the DFF has created successfully and ready to use. Create BC4J components for OAF and OA Page which holds the DFF Create the BC4J components ( EO,VO and AM) appropriately.Create the page based on the created VO.For DFF create an item of type "flex" with following property.  Note: You cannot create a flex item directly under a messageComponentLayout region, but you can create a messageLayout region under the messageComponentLayout region and add the flex item under the messageLayout region. In the Segment List property give the segment names which you want to display.The syntax of this is Global Data Elements|SEGMENT 1|...|SEGMENT N||[Context Code1]|SEGMENT 1|...|SEGMENT N||[Context Code2]|SEGMENT 1|...|SEGMENT N||... Eg: Global Data Elements|Phone Number|Email|Fax||Contractor|Manager Extension Number|CSP Name||Permanent|Extension Number|Access Card Number When you change the Context Value corresponding segments will display automatically by PPR in the page. You can attach partial action to the DFF bean programmatically so that you can identify the action related to DFF. pageContext.getParameter(EVENT_PARAM) will return "FLEX_CONTEXT_CHANGEDPersonDFF" when you change the DFF Context. Page is ready and you can test. When you choose "Contract" following output you can see. When you choose "Permanent" following output you can see.  Give proper values and press Apply.You can see values populated in the table.

  The EBS 12.1.3 Release Content Document (RCD, Note 561580.1) summarizes the latest functional and technology stack-related updates in a specific release.  The E-Business Suite Electronic Technical Reference Manual (eTRM) summarizes the database objects in a specific EBS release.  Those are useful references, but sometimes you need to find out which database objects have changed between one EBS release and another.  This kind of information about the differences or deltas between two releases is useful if you have customized or extended your EBS instance and plan to upgrade to EBS 12.1.3.
