  • jquery.ui sortable using a table and item:tr , placeholder difficulties

    Hi I would really like to give some sortable goodness to the myriad old tables I have created. A little work has a proof of concept behaving ok. My one sticking point is that the placeholder does not work at all in IE 7 when using item:TR . It works OK in FF. I can make an perform correctly.   • Can I apply a texture to UIToolbar?

    I tried doing this: [toolbar setTint:[UIColor colorWithPatternImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"thingFromMyBundle.png"]]]; but it just ended up black. At first I assumed you weren't allowed to "tint" with a texture, but I've seen apps recently that can do this. Am I missing something? Thanks.

  • IE6 the last three characters in a div are being repeated else where in the page? really weird

    Hey, Basically i have an issues (in IE6) where the last three characters of a line of text in a div are being repeated further down the page even though they are only in the HTML once. http://www.disturbmedia.com/jason/test/ please see the numbers in black, its always the last three characters that get repeated, so strange. I have never seen this before, its only in IE6? Anyone have any info?! Am super confused as to how this is happening. Thanks Jason

There are 2 questions: 1.It it possible to track the percentage progress when UIWebView is loading the page? 2.I know there is property scalesPageToFit scalesPageToFit A Boolean value determining whether the webpage scales to fit the view and the user can change the scale.     Trying to draw a shadow using code from this question: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/805872/how-do-i-draw-a-shadow-under-a-uiview I implement it in a UIView subclass as discussed, but when I try and use it using UIView *shadow = [[ShadowView alloc]initWithFrame:CGRectMake(100,100,100,100)]; I get only a black square, rather than something resembling shadow. Am I missing something here?

    i have a jquery toggle that animates and displays a DIV. i have a transparent PNG , drop shadow type background image, and when it first appears, i see a black background then it dissapears once the image loads... is there a way around that? is that a bug? i have it animating slow, so maybe that has something to do with it... should i just make it show()?

    I'd like to "darken" a UIView by a certain amount. Right now, I'm doing the darkening like this: UIView *overlay = [[UIView alloc] initWithFrame:mainView.bounds]; overlay.backgroundColor = [UIColor blackColor]; overlay.alpha = 0.5f; [mainView addSubview:overlay]; Unfortunately, this also adds a semi-transparent black overlay to parts of mainView that are transparent. Is there any way to only darken the non-transparent sections?
