  • remap an xml feed to the address of a wordpress rss feed

    - by cboettig
I used to have a blog based on Wordpress and moved to one based on Jekyll. I can create a new feed in Jekyll by building an atom page in XML with a bit of Liquid code, like this The trouble is, the location of the new feed is http://carlboettiger.info/atom.xml, while the old feed from the wordpress site is http://carlboettiger.info/feed, with no extension. how can I configure the Jekyll-created feed such that followers who have pointed their readers to the old feed address from wordpress will start to get the new content? (Site's Jekyll source here)

  • Liquid XML 2012 Service Pack 1 available

    - by bconlon
Liquid XML Editor is one of my favourite tools, but I was slightly concerned with the original 2012 release as the new XML Data Mapper tool was a bit buggy. So I was pleased to see SP1 is now available for download.Sure enough the issues have been fixed and it's once more a great tool! The data mapper can also now be run from the command line (this was a little limiting before as you had to open the IDE to run the mapping) and the Help now contains full documentation.#

  • How to set the default language in Notepad++

    - by AngryHacker
I mostly use Notepad++ for dealing with XML files. It would be good if Notepad++ parsed and colorized my files based on the XML language when I open the files. Instead, I have to open the file, pick XML from the Languages menu. Is there a way to tell Notepad++ that XML is the default language and to treat the files accordingly.

  • load langs.xml failed also after fix.

    - by Remy
I have the same error as stated on: http://superuser.com/questions/67128/notepad-load-langs-xml-failed. I have also applied the fix listed there. I delete the langs.xml file. Then when I reboot notepad++.exe a new langs.xml is created from the langs.model.xml file. However, after I reboot my computer the langs.xml file is corrupted again. It is completely empty. Does anyone know what is causing the deletion of the langs.xml file? I noticed the problem shortly after using windows 7 64 bit, and on two seperate computers.

  • XML Socket and Regular Socket in Flash/Flex does not send message immediately.

    - by kramer
I am trying to build a basic RIA where my Flex application client opens an XML socket, sends the xml message "people_list" to server, and prints out the response. I have ruby at the server side and I have successfully set up the security policy stuff. The ruby xml server, successfully accepts the connections from Flex, successfully detects when they are closed and can also send messages to client. But; there is a problem... It cannot receive messages from flex client. The messages sent from flex client are queued and sent as one package when the socket is closed. Therefore, the whole wait-for-request-then-reply thing is not working... This is also -kinda- mentioned in the XMLSocket.send() document, where it is stated that the messages are sent async so; they may be delivered at any time in future. But; I need them to be synced, flushed or whatever. This is the server side code: require 'socket' require 'observer' class Network_Reader_Ops include Observable @@reader_listener_socket = UDPSocket.new @@reader_broadcast_socket = UDPSocket.new @@thread_id def initialize @@reader_broadcast_socket.setsockopt(Socket::SOL_SOCKET, Socket::SO_BROADCAST, 1) @@reader_broadcast_socket.setsockopt(Socket::SOL_SOCKET, Socket::SO_REUSEADDR, 1) @@reader_listener_socket.setsockopt(Socket::SOL_SOCKET, Socket::SO_REUSEADDR, 1) @@reader_broadcast_socket.bind('', 50050) @@reader_listener_socket.bind('', 50051) @@thread_id = Thread.start do loop do begin text, sender = @@reader_listener_socket.recvfrom_nonblock 1024 print("Knock response recived: ", text) notify_observers text rescue Errno::EAGAIN retry rescue Errno::EWOULDBLOCK retry end end end end def query @@reader_broadcast_socket.send("KNOCK KNOCK", 0, "255.255.255.255", 50050) end def stop Thread.kill @@thread_id end end class XMLSocket_Connection attr_accessor :connection_id def update (data) connection_id.write(data+"\0") end end begin # Set EOL for Flash $/ = '\x00' xml_socket = TCPServer.open('', '4444') security_policy_socket = TCPServer.open('', '843') xml_socket.setsockopt(Socket::SOL_SOCKET, Socket::SO_REUSEADDR, 1) security_policy_socket.setsockopt(Socket::SOL_SOCKET, Socket::SO_REUSEADDR, 1) a = Thread.start do network_ops = nil loop { accepted_connection = xml_socket.accept print(accepted_connection.peeraddr, " is accepted\n") while accepted_connection.gets incoming = $_.dump print("Received: ", incoming) if incoming == "<request>readers on network</request>" then network_ops = Network_Reader_Ops.new this_con = XMLSocket_Connection.new this_con.connection_id = accepted_connection network_ops.add_observer this_con network_ops.query end end if not network_ops.nil? then network_ops.delete_observer this_con network_ops.stop network_ops = nil end print(accepted_connection, " is gone\n") accepted_connection.close } end b = Thread.start do loop { accepted_connection = security_policy_socket.accept Thread.start do current_connection = accepted_connection while current_connection.gets if $_ =~ /.*policy\-file.*/i then current_connection.write("<cross-domain-policy><allow-access-from domain="*" to-ports="*" /></cross-domain-policy>\0") end end current_connection.close end } end a.join b.join rescue puts "FAILED" retry end And this is the flex/flash client side code: UPDATE: I have also tried using regular socket and calling flush() method but; the result was same. private var socket:XMLSocket = new XMLSocket(); protected function stopXMLSocket():void { socket.close(); } protected function startXMLSocket():void { socket.addEventListener(DataEvent.DATA, dataHandler); socket.connect(xmlSocketServer_address, xmlSocketServer_port); socket.send("<request>readers on network</request>"); } protected function dataHandler(event:DataEvent):void { mx.controls.Alert.show(event.data); } How do I achieve the described behaviour?

  • Using XML to generate SAP ABAP and/or SAPScript?

    - by Rob
Has anyone got examples and/or experience of generating SAP ABAP or SAPScript form code from XML that came from an external application? This would help: creation of SAP-based applications in a data-driven way by automating the knowledge to do so from the export of XML from an external application automated inputting of knowledge from an external application into SAP applications, rather than manually copying between systems enable 3rd-party external tools to be used to create data, perhaps in a more easier-to-use way than could be done in SAP. Or if there was already heavy investment in training with these third party tools rather than SAP, or if the employment market favoured staff with knowledge of these tools enable creation of data for multiple purposes, views: those in SAP and outside SAP. enable inter-operability of SAP with 3rd-party external tools I'm looking for: - experiences as to the feasibility - tools, e.g. parsers, XSLT etc. - examples

  • Shopping Portal based on XML Data - XSLT or PHP?

    - by buggy1985
For my bachelor thesis I want to implement a shopping (price comparison) portal prototype based on XML Data. The main requirement is to get a very clear and customizable HTML template, which should be hosted by the customer on his own webserver. I'm not very sure if XSLT meets this requirements, as it generates a lot of xsl-related code. It is not easy to understand for people with little HTML skills. I have some experience with the PHP templating engine Smarty. The syntax is much better, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to parse the XML data with PHP, as it is very complex. Which language should I choose for a web application with high complexity? XSLT or PHP?

  • Getting XML parse error in coldfusion. Can the packet returned be validated?

    - by jeff
Getting an error on occasion on a specific CF page. Offending code listed below. Very odd because when I rebooted CF it went away. Can the XML be checked via XMLValidate to prevent this from happening? Is this some sort of CF bug since the error disappeared after reboot of CF? I have a feeling that the error will resurface at some point. An error occured while Parsing an XML document. The element type "meta" must be terminated by the matching end-tag "". <cfhttp method="get" url="http://bs.mysite.com/webservice/rec/get.sbs?customerId=345S4BE8x&itemId=#product_id#&number=20&ruleId=#product.location_tab_accessories#"> <cfset result = xmlParse(cfhttp.FileContent)> <cfset recs = xmlSearch(result, "/result/thsite/site/itemId")>

The task is to implement IConfigurationRipository using your favorite approach.

  • errors deploying an EAR with EJBs 2.1 into JBoss AS5

    - by Marina
Hi, I'm porting an application with EJBs 2.1 from Weblogic9 to JBoss AS5. I have made some of the changes like adding jboss.xml descriptors to EJBs and fixing application.xml of the EAR, but there are still problems when deploying the EAR. Here is a summary of the the latest error I'm getting when the first EJB is being deployed by JBoss (I will add the full stack trace at the end of the message): 14:15:48,124 ERROR [AbstractKernelController] Error installing to Parse: name=vf sfile:/C:/Marina/Tools/jboss-5.1.0.GA/server/default/deploy/contracts.ear/ state =Not Installed mode=Manual requiredState=Parse org.jboss.deployers.spi.DeploymentException: Error creating managed object for v fsfile:/C:/Marina/Tools/jboss-5.1.0.GA/server/default/deploy/contracts.ear/admin -ejb.jar/ .... Caused by: org.jboss.xb.binding.JBossXBRuntimeException: -1:-1 94:3 The markup in the document preceding the root element must be well-formed. Is this a problem with parsing the jboss_2_4.dtd itself? or is it something worng with my descriptors for the EJB? When I try to validate the jboss_2_4.dtd in an XML editor it does complain about a syntax error at line 94:1 , which is the beginning of the first declaration, although it looks fine. Any ideas? Thanks! • EJB3 lookup on websphere

    - by dcp
I'm just starting to try to learn Websphere, and I have my ejb deployed, but I cannot look it up. Here's is what I have: public class RemoteEJBCount { public static Context ctx; private static String jndiNameStateless = "EJB3CounterSample/EJB3Beans.jar/StatelessCounterBean/com/ibm/websphere/ejb3sample/counter/RemoteCounter"; public static void main(String[] args) throws NamingException { RemoteCounter statelessCounter; Hashtable<String, Object> env = new Hashtable<String, Object>(); env.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL, "corbaloc:iiop:localhost:2809"); env.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, "com.ibm.websphere.naming.WsnInitialContextFactory"); ctx = new InitialContext(env); statelessCounter = (RemoteCounter)ctx.lookup(jndiNameStateless); } } Is there something I need to be doing differently to look up the EJB?

  • How to propagate spring security login to EJBs?

    - by tangens
Context I have a J2EE application running on a JBoss 4.2.3 application server. The application is reachabe through a web interface. The authentication is done with basic authentication. Inside of the EJBs I ask the security context of the bean for the principal (the name of the logged in user) and do some authorization checks if this user is allowed to access this method of the EJB. The EJBs life inside a different ear than the servlets handling the web frontend, so I can't access the spring application context directly. Required change I want to switch to Spring Security for handling the user login. Question How can I propagate the spring login information to the JBoss security context so I can still use my EJBs without having to rewrite them? Ideas and links I already found a page talking about "Propagating Identity from Spring Security to the EJB Layer", but unfortunatelly it refers to an older version of Spring Security (Acegi) and I'm not familiar enough with Spring Security to make this work with the actual version (3.0.2).

It takes about 20 sec for 10'000 lines of XML... How can this be done better? Thanks in advance! Markus

  • Getting a JPEG image from a hex string in XML.

    - by Jesse Knott
Well here goes, I am trying to collect a picture that is encoded as a hex string in an xml file. I have been looking all over for the answer to this and have not been able to find it any where. Here is what I have now. byte[] bytes = Convert.FromBase64String(FilterResults("PHOTOGRAPH")); MemoryStream mem = new MemoryStream(bytes); Image bmp2 = Image.FromStream(mem); return bmp2; The FilterResults function just returns the string from the XML. I am able to get the string of characters and convert it into a byte[] but as soon as I execute the Image.FromStream(mem) I get an "Parameter Incorrect" error. Any ideas?

  • How to prevent "Local transaction already has 1 non-XA Resource" exception?

    - by Zeratul
Hi, I'm using 2 PU in stateless EJB and each of them is invoked on one method: @PersistenceContext(unitName="PU") private EntityManager em; @PersistenceContext(unitName="PU2") private EntityManager em2; @TransactionAttribute(TransactionAttributeType.REQUIRES_NEW ) public void getCandidates(final Integer eventId) throws ControllerException { ElectionEvent electionEvent = em.find(ElectionEvent.class, eventId); ... Person person = getPerson(candidate.getLogin()); ... } @TransactionAttribute(TransactionAttributeType.REQUIRES_NEW ) private Person getPerson(String login) throws ControllerException { Person person = em2.find(Person.class, login); return person; } Those methods are annotated with REQUIRES_NEW transcaction to avoid this exception. When I was calling these method from javaFX applet, all worked as expected. Now I'm trying to call them from JAX-RS webservice (I don't see any logical difference as in both cases ejb was looked up in initial context) and I keep getting this exception. When I set up XADatasource in glassfish 2.1 connection pools, I got nullpointer exception on em2. Any ideas what to try next? Regards

  • How to serialize a collection of base type and see the concrete types in easy to read XML

The real goal is to let users generate some XML to load into memory, and the users are of a skill level that asking them for the original XML is not going to be successful.
