I have 2 tables: "products" and "pieces" PRODUCTS idProd product price PIECES id idProdMain idProdChild quant idProdMain and idProdChild are related with the table: "products". Other considerations is that 1 product can have some pieces and 1 product can be a piece. Price product equal a sum of quantity * price of all their pieces. "Products" table contains all products (p EXAMPLE: TABLE PRODUCTS (idProd - product - price) 1 - Computer - 300€ 2 - Hard Disk - 100€ 3 - Memory - 50€ 4 - Main Board - 100€ 5 - Software - 50€ 6 - CDroms 100 un. - 30€ TABLE PIECES (id - idProdMain - idProdChild - Quant.) 1 - 1 - 2 - 1 2 - 1 - 3 - 2 3 - 1 - 4 - 1 WHAT I NEED? I need update the price of the main product when the price of the product child (piece) is changed. Following the previous example, if I change the price of this product "memory" (is a piece too) to 60€, then product "Computer" will must change his price to 320€ How I can do it using queries? Already I have tried this to obtain the price of the main product, but not runs. Help with WinAPI scroll bars

Right now I have a window with horizontal ad vertical scrollbars. I use these parameters to initialize it. //Set OGL Frame scroll bar SCROLLINFO inf; inf.cbSize = sizeof(SCROLLINFO); inf.fMask = SIF_PAGE | SIF_POS; inf.nPage = 20; inf.nPos = 30; It creates them in the center and I like their size, but when I scroll I multiply by 50 which creates chopiness. How could I add more resolution to the bars and still keep the same thumb size. Is there a way I can calculate the size and position of the bar based on the above parameters? Thanks

We have a simple datagrid. Each row has a checkbox. The checkbox is set to autopostback, and the code-behind has an event handler for the checkbox check-changed event. This all works as expected, nothing complicated. However, we want to disable the checkboxes as soon as one is checked to prevent a double submit i.e. check box checked, all checkboxes are disabled via client side javascript, form submitted. Help with running crontab from root

Im using OSX and having trouble getting a cron job to run. I type the following: $ sudo -i $ crontab -e I then enter: * * * * * root ifconfig en0 down > /dev/null 0 19 * * * root ifconfig en0 down > /dev/null 0 7 * * * root ifconfig en0 up > /dev/null and no success, the first line is for testing. I want it to shut off my internet. The next two lines I plan to leave in, once I get this working. If I type this in to the terminal the internet goes off ifconfig en0 down Why is my cron job not shutting down the internet? FYI: This is a follow up question from http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3027362/how-can-i-write-a-cron-job-that-will-block-my-internet-from-7pm-to-7am-so-i-can most of the comments there are people making fun of me. And a few attempts to solve the problem with out cron jobs.

I once read an article on how to properly write event handlers for multi-threading in Java, but I can't for the life of me find it anymore. It described the pitfalls and potentials for deadlocks that can occur when firing events (not Swing events mind you, but general events like model update notifications). To clarify, the situation would be as such: // let's say this is code from an MVC model somewhere public void setSomeProperty(String myProperty){ if(!this.myProperty.equals(myProperty)){ this.myProperty = myProperty; fireMyPropertyChangedEvent(...); } } The article described how passing control to arbitrary external listener code was a potential cause for deadlock. I now find myself in a situation where I need to fire such events in a multithreaded environment and I would very much like to read the article again to see what it has to say before I continue. Does anyone know the article I'm referring to? I believe it came as a (fairly short) PDF. It started off with an initial naive implementation and incrementally pointed out flaws and improved upon it. It ended with a sort of final proper-way-to-fire-multithreaded-events. I've searched endlessly in my browse history and on google, but all I could find were endless amounts topics on Swing event dispatch threads. Thank you.

Help Installing phpMyAdmin on Linux Server

I constantly get this error when attempting to view index.php in the phpMyAdmin folder I have setup: Cannot start session without errors, please check errors given in your PHP and/or webserver log file and configure your PHP installation properly. I am using subversion with three co-workers and I am trying to install this on my repository, which is at /svni3/myusername/intranet/ on our linux development server. I do have shell access so I would be able to install it somewhere else if that may be causing the problem. My config.inc.php file looks like this (only the things I changed): $cfg['blowfish_secret'] = 'blah'; $cfg['Servers'][$i]['auth_type'] = 'cookie'; //$cfg['Servers'][$i]['user'] = 'username'; //$cfg['Servers'][$i]['password'] = 'password'; $cfg['Servers'][$i]['host'] = 'localhost'; Other helpful information??? When I ping localhost it works. When I run the command "ls -l /var/lib/php": drwxrwx--- 2 root apache 4096 2009-04-17 02:31 session If there's anything else that may be helpful let me know; this has been plaguing me for a few hours now.

Need help on how to setup my packages and projects in eclipse

I am new to Java and am making a license generator. This is my current setup. com.example.licensegenerator.client (used by the client application) :LicenseLoader (no Main method) :LicenseDownloader (no Main method) com.example.licensegenerator.server.keys (used by the server) :ProductKeyGenerator(Main method) com.example.licensegenerator.server.license (used on the server also) :LicenseGenerator(Main method) com.example.licensegenerator.lib (Shared classes between client and server) :Contants (no main) Now I have a few questions. Is it OK to have multiple Main() methods in a single project? Will I be able to compile them to different .jar files? (In this case I need two different jars for the server) Is there a better way to setup the packages? And a totally unrelated question, with exceptions, is it better to handle them right then and there or throw them and let the main method catch them all (the program cannot recover if an error occurs)
