  • Ribbon not showing up with dynamically generated ribbon XML from the database

    - by ydobonmai
    I am trying to form ribbon XML with the data from the database and following is what I wrote:- XNamespace xNameSpace = "http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/2006/01/customui"; XDocument document = new XDocument(); document.Add( new XElement (xNameSpace+"customUI" , new XElement("ribbon" , new XElement("tabs")))); // more code to add the groups and the controls with-in the groups ....... // code below to add ribbon XML to the document and to add the relationship RibbonExtensibilityPart ribbonExtensibilityPart = myDoc.AddNewPart<RibbonExtensibilityPart>(); ribbonExtensibilityPart.CustomUI = new DocumentFormat.OpenXml.Office.CustomUI.CustomUI(ribbonXml.ToString()); myDoc.CreateRelationshipToPart(ribbonExtensibilityPart); I don't see any error executing the above. However, when I open the changed document, I dont see my ribbon added. I see following in the CustomUI/CustomUI.xml inside the word:- <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><customUI xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/2006/01/customui"> <ribbon xmlns=""> <tabs> ..... I am not sure how the "xmlns" attribute is getting added to the ribbon element. When I remove that attribute, the ribbon gets showed. Could anybody throw any idea on where am I going wrong?

  • Log4net RollingFileAppender doesn't roll over anymore after a couple of weeks

    - by Rocko
    Hello, I'm using log4net (v1.2.9.0) in a web project. Everything works like a charm, but after a couple of weeks the RollingFileAppender stops to roll over. Instead every log message is appended to the same file which therefore has a giant size by now. Here is my log4net configuration: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <log4net> <appender name="RollingLogFileAppender" type="log4net.Appender.RollingFileAppender"> <param name="File" value="C:\\Documents and Settings\\All Users\\Application Data\\CAPServer\\log\\CWSServer.log"/> <param name="AppendToFile" value="true"/> <param name="MaxSizeRollBackups" value="50"/> <param name="RollingStyle" value="Date"/> <param name="DatePattern" value="yyyyMMdd"/> <param name="StaticLogFileName" value="true"/> <layout type="log4net.Layout.PatternLayout"> <param name="ConversionPattern" value="%d{dd.MM.yyyy HH:mm:ss} [%t] %-5p %c{1} - %m%n"/> </layout> </appender> <root> <level value="ALL"/> <appender-ref ref="RollingLogFileAppender"/> </root> </log4net> Can you help? Thanks in advance, Rocko

  • X-Forwarded-For causing Undefined index in PHP

    - by bateman_ap
    Hi, I am trying to integrate some third party tracking code into one of my sites, however it is throwing up some errors, and their support isn't being much use, so i want to try and fix their code myself. Most I have fixed, however this function is giving me problems: private function getXForwardedFor() { $s =& $this; $xff_ips = array(); $headers = $s->getHTTPHeaders(); if ($headers['X-Forwarded-For']) { $xff_ips[] = $headers['X-Forwarded-For']; } if ($_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR']) { $xff_ips[] = $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR']; } return implode(', ', $xff_ips); // will return blank if not on a web server } In my dev enviroment where I am showing all errors I am getting: Notice: Undefined index: X-Forwarded-For in /sites/webs/includes/OmnitureMeasurement.class.php on line 1129 Line 1129 is: if ($headers['X-Forwarded-For']) { If I print out $headers I get: Array ( [Host] => www.domain.com [User-Agent] => Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100401 Firefox/3.6.3 [Accept] => text/html,application/xhtml+xml,application/xml;q=0.9,*/*;q=0.8 [Accept-Language] => en-gb,en;q=0.5 [Accept-Encoding] => gzip,deflate [Accept-Charset] => ISO-8859-1,utf-8;q=0.7,*;q=0.7 [Keep-Alive] => 115 [Connection] => keep-alive [Referer] => http://www10.toptable.com/ [Cookie] => PHPSESSID=nh9jd1ianmr4jon2rr7lo0g553; __utmb=134653559.30.10.1275901644; __utmc=134653559 [Cache-Control] => max-age=0 ) I can't see X-Forwarded-For in there which I think is causing the problem. Is there something I should add to the function to take this into account? I am using PHP 5.3 and Apache 2 on Fedora

  • Loading velocity template inside a jar file

    - by Rafael
    I have a project where I want to load a velocity template to complete it with parameters. The whole application is packaged as a jar file. What I initially thought of doing was this: VelocityEngine ve = new VelocityEngine(); URL url = this.getClass().getResource("/templates/"); File file = new File(url.getFile()); ve = new VelocityEngine(); ve.setProperty(RuntimeConstants.RESOURCE_LOADER, "file"); ve.setProperty(RuntimeConstants.FILE_RESOURCE_LOADER_PATH, file.getAbsolutePath()); ve.setProperty(RuntimeConstants.FILE_RESOURCE_LOADER_CACHE, "true"); ve.init(); VelocityContext context = new VelocityContext(); if (properties != null) { stringfyNulls(properties); for (Map.Entry<String, Object> property : properties.entrySet()) { context.put(property.getKey(), property.getValue()); } } final String templatePath = templateName + ".vm"; Template template = ve.getTemplate(templatePath, "UTF-8"); String outFileName = File.createTempFile("p2d_report", ".html").getAbsolutePath(); BufferedWriter writer = new BufferedWriter(new FileWriter(new File(outFileName))); template.merge(context, writer); writer.flush(); writer.close(); And this works fine when I run it in eclipse. However, once I package the program and try to run it using the command line I get an error because the file could not be found. I imagine the problem is in this line: ve.setProperty(RuntimeConstants.FILE_RESOURCE_LOADER_PATH, file.getAbsolutePath()); Because in a jar the absolute file does not exist, since it's inside a zip, but I couldn't yet find a better way to do it. Anyone has any ideas?

  • search form in php via ajax

    - by fusion
    i've a search form wherein the database query has been coded in php and the html file calls this php file via ajax to display the results in the search form. the problem is, i would like the result to be displayed in the same form as search.html; yet while the ajax works, it goes to search.php to display the results. search.html: <!DOCTYPE html> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"> <script src="scripts/search_ajax.js" type="text/javascript"></script> </head> <body> <form id="submitForm" method="post"> <div class="wrapper"> <div class="field"> <input name="search" id="search" /> </div><br /> <input id="button1" type="submit" value="Submit" class="submit" onclick="run_query();" /><br /> </div> <div id="searchContainer"> </div> </form> </body> </html> if i add action="search.php" to the form tag, it displays the result but on search.php. i'd like it to display on the same form [i.e search.html, and not search.php] if i just add the javascript function [as done above], it displays nothing on search.html

  • XML Schema: How to specify an attribute with a custom 'simpleType' type?

    - by mackenir
    In my XML schema definition, I'm trying to restrict the value of an attribute to be an integer between 0 and 100. With reference to the sample schema below, I want attribute 'attr' on element 'root' to have this restriction. To achieve this I define a simpleType 'Percentage' and set this as the 'type' of 'attr'. However, my XML schema editor (VS 2008) flags the attribute up as having a problem: "Type 'Percentage' is not declared or is not a simple type". <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <xs:schema elementFormDefault="qualified" id="test" xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" targetNamespace="http://testtttt"> <xs:simpleType name="Percentage"> <xs:restriction base="xs:integer"> <xs:minInclusive value="0"/> <xs:maxInclusive value="100"/> </xs:restriction> </xs:simpleType> <xs:element name="root"> <xs:complexType> <xs:attribute name="attr" type="Percentage" use="optional" /> </xs:complexType> </xs:element>

  • XPath Trouble with getting attributes

    - by Travis
    I'm having a bit of trouble with some XML in Java. The following is the result of an API call to EVE Online. How can I get the "name" and "characterID" for each row? Frankly I just have no idea where to start with this one, so please don't ask for extra information. I just gotta know how to get those attributes. <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?> <eveapi version="1"> <currentTime>2007-12-12 11:48:50</currentTime> <result> <rowset name="characters" key="characterID" columns="name,characterID,corporationName,corporationID"> <row name="Mary" characterID="150267069" corporationName="Starbase Anchoring Corp" corporationID="150279367" /> <row name="Marcus" characterID="150302299" corporationName="Marcus Corp" corporationID="150333466" /> <row name="Dieinafire" characterID="150340823" corporationName="Center for Advanced Studies" corporationID="1000169" /> </rowset> </result> <cachedUntil>2007-12-12 12:48:50</cachedUntil> </eveapi>

  • Ruby on Rails bizarre behavior with ActiveRecord error handling

    - by randombits
    Can anyone explain why this happens? mybox:$ ruby script/console Loading development environment (Rails 2.3.5) >> foo = Foo.new => #<Foo id: nil, customer_id: nil, created_at: nil, updated_at: nil> >> bar = Bar.new => #<Bar id: nil, bundle_id: nil, alias: nil, real: nil, active: true, list_type: 0, body_record_active: false, created_at: nil, updated_at: nil> >> bar.save => false >> bar.errors.each_full { |msg| puts msg } Real can't be blank Real You must supply a valid email => ["Real can't be blank", "Real You must supply a valid email"] So far that is perfect, that is what i want the error message to read. Now for more: >> foo.bars << bar => [#<Bar id: nil, bundle_id: nil, alias: nil, real: nil, active: true, list_type: 0, body_record_active: false, created_at: nil, updated_at: nil>] >> foo.save => false >> foo.errors.to_xml => "<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"UTF-8\"?>\n<errors>\n <error>Bars is invalid</error>\n</errors>\n" That is what I can't figure out. Why am I getting Bars is invalid versus the error messages displayed above, ["Real can't be blank", "Real you must supply a valid email"] etc. My controller simply has a respond_to method with the following in it: format.xml { render :xml => @foo.errors, :status => :unprocessable_entity } How do I have this output the real error messages so the user has some insight into what they did wrong?

  • Convert InputStream to String with encoding given in stream data

    - by Quentin
    Hi, My input is a InputStream which contains an XML document. Encoding used in XML is unknown and it is defined in the first line of XML document. From this InputStream, I want to have all document in a String. To do this, I use a BufferedInputStream to mark the beginning of the file and start reading first line. I read this first line to get encoding and then I use an InputStreamReader to generate a String with the correct encoding. It seems that it is not the best way to achieve this goal because it produces an OutOfMemory error. Any idea, how to do it ? public static String streamToString(final InputStream is) { String result = null; if (is != null) { BufferedInputStream bis = new BufferedInputStream(is); bis.mark(Integer.MAX_VALUE); final StringBuilder stringBuilder = new StringBuilder(); try { // stream reader that handle encoding final InputStreamReader readerForEncoding = new InputStreamReader(bis, "UTF-8"); final BufferedReader bufferedReaderForEncoding = new BufferedReader(readerForEncoding); String encoding = extractEncodingFromStream(bufferedReaderForEncoding); if (encoding == null) { encoding = DEFAULT_ENCODING; } // stream reader that handle encoding bis.reset(); final InputStreamReader readerForContent = new InputStreamReader(bis, encoding); final BufferedReader bufferedReaderForContent = new BufferedReader(readerForContent); String line = bufferedReaderForContent.readLine(); while (line != null) { stringBuilder.append(line); line = bufferedReaderForContent.readLine(); } bufferedReaderForContent.close(); bufferedReaderForEncoding.close(); } catch (IOException e) { // reset string builder stringBuilder.delete(0, stringBuilder.length()); } result = stringBuilder.toString(); }else { result = null; } return result; } Regards, Quentin

  • Asp.net renders string with wrong encoding, but PHP doesn't (MySQL)

    - by citronas
    I took over some old php application with MySQL as database. Inside the database, there are tables including content with localized strings (therefore containing special chars) Currently there is a PHP application accessing that database. My job is to create an ASP.net (C# codebehind) application that accesses that strings as well. That works, as far as encoding goes. If I try to access these strings, I do get a kind of encoding problem, like 'Ändern' and 'Prüfzeichen', but only in the ASP.net application. The PHP app sets utf-8 as charset and the strings are perfectly rendered. In the ASP.net application it's gibberish, regardless of the page encoding. In the MySQL database, the charset for the specified table 'translations' is set to 'latin --cp1252 West European' and collation to 'latin_swedish_ci'. I can't seem to figure out what PHP apparently does, and ASP.net does not. I traced the php code and could not find any sign of special encoding while getting a string from the database. The question is, how can I ensure correct encoding inside the ASP.net application without modifying the database, because big changes at the php code are not possible? Does anybody have a clue?

  • How to replace characters in a java String?

    - by ManBugra
    I like to replace a certain set of characters of a string with a corresponding replacement character in an efficent way. For example: String sourceCharacters = "šdccŠÐCCžŽ"; String targetCharacters = "sdccSDCCzZ"; String result = replaceChars("Gracišce", sourceCharacters , targetCharacters ); Assert.equals(result,"Gracisce") == true; Is there are more efficient way than to use the replaceAll method of the String class? My first idea was: final String s = "Gracišce"; String sourceCharacters = "šdccŠÐCCžŽ"; String targetCharacters = "sdccSDCCzZ"; // preparation final char[] sourceString = s.toCharArray(); final char result[] = new char[sourceString.length]; final char[] targetCharactersArray = targetCharacters.toCharArray(); // main work for(int i=0,l=sourceString.length;i<l;++i) { final int pos = sourceCharacters.indexOf(sourceString[i]); result[i] = pos!=-1 ? targetCharactersArray[pos] : sourceString[i]; } // result String resultString = new String(result); Any ideas? Btw, the UTF-8 characters are causing the trouble, with US_ASCII it works fine.

  • unable to get values from JSON converted from XML

    - by Dkong
    I have passed some JSON to my page via a webservice. I used JSON.NET to convert XML to JSON. The JSON output looks ok to me, but I am unable to access some of the items in the response. I am not sure why it is not working. I am using jQuery to read the response and make the webservice call. Even when I try to read the length of the array it says 'undefined' function GetFeed(){ document.getElementById("marq").innerHTML = ''; $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "ticker.asmx/GetStockTicker", data: "{}", contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", dataType: "json", success: function(response) { var obj = (typeof response.d) == 'string' ? eval('(' + response.d + ')') : response.d; for (var i = 0; i < obj.length; i++) { $('#marq').html(obj[i].person); } } }); } This is a copy and paste of my response as it appeared in firebug: {"d":"{\"?xml\":{\"@version\":\"1.0\",\"@standalone\":\"no\"},\"root\":{\"person\":[{\"@id\":\"1\",\"name\":\"Alan\",\"url\":\"http://www.google.com\"},{\"@id\":\"2\",\"name\":\"Louis\",\"url\":\"http://www.yahoo.com\"}]}}"}

    I'm passing data using .ajax and here are my data and contentType attributes: data: '{ "UserInput" : "' + $('#txtInput').val() + '","Options" : { "Foo1":' + bar1 + ', "Foo2":' + Bar2 + ', "Flags":"' + flags + '", "Immunity":' + immunity + '}}', contentType: 'application/json; charset=utf-8', Server side my code looks like this: <WebMethod()> _ Public Shared Function ParseData(ByVal UserInput As String, ByVal Options As Options) As String The userinput is obvious but the Options structure is like the following: Public Structure Options Dim Foo1 As Boolean Dim Foo2 As Boolean Dim Flags As String Dim Immunity As Integer End Structure Everything works fine when $('#txtInput') contains no double-quotes but if they are present I get an error (for an input of asd"): {"Message":"Invalid object passed in, \u0027:\u0027 or \u0027}\u0027 expected. (22): { \"UserInput\" : \"asd\"\",\"Options\" : { \"Foo1\":false, \"Foo2\":false, \"Flags\":\"\", \"Immunity\":0}}","StackTrace":" at System.Web.Script.Serialization.JavaScriptObjectDeserializer.DeserializeDictionary(Int32 depth)\r\n at System.Web.Script.Serialization.JavaScriptObjectDeserializer.DeserializeInternal(Int32 depth)\r\n at System.Web.Script.Serialization.JavaScriptObjectDeserializer.BasicDeserialize(String input, Int32 depthLimit, JavaScriptSerializer serializer)\r\n at System.Web.Script.Serialization.JavaScriptSerializer.Deserialize[T](String input)\r\n at System.Web.Script.Services.RestHandler.ExecuteWebServiceCall(HttpContext context, WebServiceMethodData methodData)","ExceptionType":"System.ArgumentException"} Any idea how I can avoid this error? Also, when I pass the same input with quotes directly it works fine.
