  • Why is my GreaseMonkey function unexpectedly being called multiple times?

    - by Ryan Fisher
    I am missing something, I'm not sure why the function 'addIcon()' is being called multiple times. Given: <div class="ticketpostcontainer">Some text</div> <div class="ticketpostcontainer">Some text</div> <div class="ticketpostcontainer">Some text</div> Using the utility function waitForKeyElements, the result is that each div element receives my "collapse icon" three times: // ==UserScript== // @name Collapse Kayako Response // @grant Sandbox // @namespace http://my.chiromatrixbase.com/fisher.chiromatrix.com/collaps_div.js // @include http://imatrixsupport.com/* // @require http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7.1/jquery.min.js // ==/UserScript== /*jslint plusplus: true, undef: true, sloppy: true, vars: true, white: true, indent: 2, maxerr: 30 */ //Enable or disable GreaseMonkey function, GM_log var GM_Debug = 1; if (!GM_Debug) { var GM_log = function () {}; } //If FireBig is active, send GM log events to FB. if (unsafeWindow.console && GM_Debug) { var GM_log = unsafeWindow.console.log; } GM_log("Running collapse kayako response script"); //Don't run on frames or iframes. if (window.top !== window.self) { return; } waitForKeyElements(".ticketpostcontainer", addIcon); function addIcon() { var i, toCollapse = document.getElementsByClassName('ticketpostcontainer'), j = toCollapse.length; GM_log("Number of elements to collapse: " + toCollapse.length); for (i = 0; i < j; i++) { var curElement = toCollapse[i]; var p = document.createElement('p'); var a = document.createElement('a'); var span = document.createElement('span'); styleLink(a); styleParagraph(p); styleSpan(span); p.appendChild(a); p.appendChild(span); a.appendChild(document.createTextNode('-')); span.appendChild(document.createTextNode(' Some text')); a.addEventListener("click", toggle, false); curElement.parentNode.insertBefore(p, curElement); } function toggle(e) { if (this.firstChild.nodeValue === '-') { this.parentNode.nextSibling.style.display = 'none'; this.firstChild.nodeValue = '+'; this.nextSibling.style.display = 'inline'; } else { this.parentNode.nextSibling.style.display = 'block'; this.firstChild.nodeValue = '-'; this.nextSibling.style.display = 'none'; } e.preventDefault(); } function styleLink(a) { a.href = '#'; a.style.fontWeight = 'bold'; a.style.background = '#F6F1E7'; a.style.border = '1px solid #cccccc'; a.style.color = '#B24C58'; a.style.textDecoration = 'none'; a.style.width = '15px'; a.style.height = '15px'; a.style.textAlign = 'center'; a.style.fontSize = '100%'; a.style.margin = '0 5px 5px 8px'; a.style.cssFloat = 'left'; a.style.display = 'block'; a.style.lineHeight = '13px'; } function styleParagraph(p) { p.style.margin = '0 0 0 0'; p.style.lineHeight = '16px'; p.style.clear = 'both'; p.style.height = '15px'; } function styleSpan(span) { span.style.display = 'none'; } }

  • JavaScriptSerializer deserialize object "collection" as property in object failing

    - by bill
    Hi All, I have a js object structured like: object.property1 = "some string"; object.property2 = "some string"; object.property3.property1 = "some string"; object.property3.property2 = "some string"; object.property3.property2 = "some string"; i'm using JSON.stringify(object) to pass this with ajax request. When i try to deserialize this using JavaScriptSerializer.Deserialize as a Dictionary i get the following error: No parameterless constructor defined for type of 'System.String'. This exact same process is working for regular object with non "collection" properties.. thanks for any help!

  • Attempting to update partial view using Ajax.ActionLink gives error in MicrosoftAjax.js

    - by mwright
    I am trying to update the partial view ( "OnlyPartialView" ) from an Ajax.ActionLink which is in the same partial view. While executing the foreach loop it throws this error in a popup box in visual studio: htmlfile: Unknown runtime error This error puts the break point in the MicrosoftAjax.js file, Line 5, Col 83,632, Ch 83632. The page is not updated appropriately. Any thoughts or ideas on how I could troubleshoot this? It was previously nested partial views, I've simplified it for this example but this code produces the same error. Is there a better way to do what I am trying to do? Index Page: <script src="../../Scripts/MicrosoftAjax.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="../../Scripts/MicrosoftMvcAjax.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <ul> <% foreach (DomainObject domainObject in Model) { %> <% Html.RenderPartial("OnlyPartialView", domainObject); %> <% } %> </ul> OnlyPartialView: <%@ Control Language="C#" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewUserControl<ProjectName.Models.DomainObject>" %> <%@ Import Namespace="ProjectName.Models"%> <li> <div id="<%=Model.Id%>"> //DISPLAY ATTRIBUTES </div> <div id="<%= Model.Id %>ActionStateLinks"> <% foreach ( var actionStateLink in Model.States[0].State.ActionStateLinks) {%> <div id="Div1"> <div> <%= actionStateLink.Action.Name %> </div> <div> <%= Ajax.ActionLink("Submit this Action", "DoAction", "ViewController", new { id = Model.Id, id2 = actionStateLink.ActionStateLinkId }, new AjaxOptions{ UpdateTargetId = Model.Id.ToString()} )%> </div> </div> <br /> <%} %> </div> </li> Controller: public ActionResult DoAction(Guid id, Guid id2) { DomainObject domainObject = _repository.GetDomainObject(id); ActionStateLink actionStateLink = _repository.GetActionStateLink(id2); domainObject.States[0].StateId = actionStateLink.FollowingStateId; repository.AddDomainObjectAction(domainObject, actionStateLink, DateTime.Now); _repository.Save(); return PartialView("OnlyPartialView", _repository.GetDomainObject(id)); }

  • Image map popup on rollover, with popup text drawn from database

    - by lbholland
    I have a custom map of the USA with about 20 polygonal hot spots. I would like a box to pop up next to each hot spot on hover, with text and links drawn from my DB specific to the location. I would have thought this is a common situation, but I can't find a solution that works. I tried using an asp:imagemap and an ajax popup extender but you can't assign IDs to hotspots and it doesn't support mouseover events. I tried css with an html image map but I can't figure out how to use css solutions with polygonal hot spots, and I also don't know how to link it to get the data from the db without asp targets (I'm not very familiar with jquery, which would work, I am guessing). Anyone know of any simple-ish solutions out there?

  • AutoCompleteExtender - authentication failure (forms authentication)

    - by Paddy
    I'm using the AutoCompleteExtender from the AJAX control toolkit on my aspx page - I have it wired up to a WCF service that is returning a string array and everything works happily. If I change my service definition to include a demand for the caller to be authenticated, like so: <OperationContract(), PrincipalPermission(SecurityAction.Demand, Authenticated:=True)> _ Public Function GetLookupValues(ByVal prefixText As String, ByVal count As Integer, ByVal contextKey As String) As String() Then the autocomplete extender stops working, and I get an authentication error in the service. The service is set up to use ASPNetCompatibility mode, and I was hoping that the extender would pass the authentication credentials for my logged in user - does anyone know how to make this work?

  • Alternative to pjax/djax and ajaxy

    - by elluca
    I was evaluating jQuery plugins to make a Drupal 7 site using AJAX everywhere. I have been using ajaxy. But it does not seem to be very actively maintained. Two possible solutions I have found are pjax and djax. What are your experiences with those plugins? What other plugins do you know that do similar functionality? Very important features are SEO friendliness (preferably using pushState so no hash is being used. Hashes are used as a fallback for not supported browsers.). And also has to be very flexible since it has to wirk with Drupal's HTML structure.

  • JSONP callback method is not defined

    - by Micah
    I'm trying to get a jsonp callback working using jquery within a greasemonkey script. Here's my jquery: $.ajax({ url: "http://mydomain.com/MyWebService?callback=?", data: { authkey: "temphash" }, type: "get", dataType: "json", cache: false, success: function(data) { console.log(data); } }); in my webservice (asp.net) I'm returning the response with a content type of application/javascript. The response the server is actually sending back is: jsonp1276109314602({"message":"I'm getting tired of this not working"}) The jsonp1276109314602 method name is being randomly generated by jquery, and I'm grabbing it with Request.QueryString["callback"] However my success function is never called and the firebug console gives me an error saying jsonp1276109314602 is not defined. What am I doing wrong?

  • Apache Solr: Setting HTTP Response Headers From solrconfig.xml For CORS

    - by Noah Freitas
    Is it possible to setup the sending of a custom HTTP response header from within the solrconfig.xml file? I am thinking that it might be possible to add some configuration to the <requestDispatcher> since it controls caching headers. I am sure this is possible in the servlet container configuration (Jetty, Tomcat, etc.), but I would like to do this from within Solr's configuration files if at all possible. If this makes any difference, I am attempting to set an Access-Control-Allow-Origin header for CORS AJAX requests for a different host.

  • Deleting blog post using Blogger API, Javascript and Prototype

    - by Mikhail
    Hello, everyone! I'm trying to delete a blog post on blogger.com using Blogger API via Prototype Javascript library. Here's my code: var request = new Ajax.Request( 'http://www.blogger.com/feeds/'+remoteBlogId+'/posts/default/'+postId { method:'DELETE', requestHeaders:['Authorization', 'GoogleLogin auth='+authKey], on200:function(){/*onSuccess*/}, onFailure:function(){/*onFailure*/} } ); As far as I can see from API description, everything's alright, but when I run this, it fires onSuccess function, but doesn't delete the entry on the server. I guess that Prototype doesn't work well with HTTP methods other than GET and POST (here's the ticket describing similar problem though proposed patch didn't work for me) Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance, Mikhail.

I have also tried; post("DetailedQuote/ post("DetailedQuote.aspx/ post("/DetailedQuote.aspx/ post("/DetailedQuoteController/ post("DetailedQuoteController/ post("DetailedQuoteController.aspx/ post("/DetailedQuoteController.aspx/ And still no joy. I should also mention that this is running a Hybrid WebForms and MVC site on IIS 6.

  • callback execution order in jQuery getJSON

    - by lau
    I'm trying to implement a iGoogle like dashboard interface using widgets that get their content from other sites using JSONP calls. The problem is that if the first widget that calls the "$.ajax" takes 8 seconds to get the content back, it seems that the callbacks of the other widgets will only be called after the callback of the first widget gets executed. For the user experience, it would be better if the widgets could be displayed as soon as they get the content back from the remote sites, and not wait for those that were scheduled before to complete. Is there a way I can do that?

  • Facebook Connect login button not rendering

    - by tloflin
    I'm trying to implement a Facebook Connect Single Sign-on site. I originally just had a Connect button (<fb:login-button>), which the user had to click every time they wanted to sign in. I now have the auto login and logout features working. That is, my site will detect a logged-in Facebook account and automatically authenticate them if it can find a match to one of my site's user accounts, and automatically deauthenticate if the Facebook session is lost. I also have a manual logout button that will log the user out of both my site and Facebook. All of those are working correctly, but now my original Connect button is intermittently not being rendered correctly. It just shows up as the plain XHTML (ie., it looks like plain text--not a button--and is unclickable), and no XFBML is applied. Here is the basic code: On every page: <body> {...} <script src="http://static.ak.connect.facebook.com/js/api_lib/v0.4/FeatureLoader.js.php" type="text/javascript"></script> <script type="text/javascript> FB.init('APIKey', '/xd_receiver.htm'); var isAuth; // isAuth determines if the user is authenticated on my site // it should be true on the logout page, false on the login page FB.ensureInit(function(){ var session = FB.Facebook.apiClient.get_session(); if (session && !isAuth) { PageMethods.FacebookLogin(session.uid, session.session_key, FBLogin, FBLoginFail); // This is an AJAX call that authenticates the user on my site. } else if(!session && isFBAuth) { PageMethods.FacebookLogout(FBLogout, FBLogoutFail); // This is an AJAX call that deauthenticates the user on my site. } // the callback functions do nothing at the moment }); </script> {...} </body> On the login page: (this page is not visible to logged in users) <body> {...} <script src="http://static.ak.connect.facebook.com/js/api_lib/v0.4/FeatureLoader.js.php" type="text/javascript"></script> <script type="text/javascript> FB.init('APIKey', '/xd_receiver.htm'); {...} // auto-auth code as on every page </script> <!-- This is the button that fails to render --> <fb:login-button v="2" onlogin="UserSignedIntoFB();" size="large" autologoutlink="true"><fb:intl>Login With Your Facebook Account</fb:intl></fb:login-button> <script type="text/javascript"> function UserSignedIntoFB() { {...} // posts back to the server which authenticates the user on my site & redirects } </script> {...} </body> On the logout page: (this page is not visible to logged out users) <body> {...} <script src="http://static.ak.connect.facebook.com/js/api_lib/v0.4/FeatureLoader.js.php" type="text/javascript"></script> <script type="text/javascript> FB.init('APIKey', '/xd_receiver.htm'); {...} // auto-auth code as on every page </script> <script type="text/javascript"> function FBLoggedOut() { {...} // posts back to the server which deauthenticates the user on my site & redirects to login } function Logout() { if (FB.Facebook.apiClient.get_session()) { FB.Connect.logout(FBLoggedOut); // logs out of Facebook if it's a Facebook account return false; } else { return true; // posts back if it's a non-Facebook account & redirects to login } } </script> <a onclick="return Logout();" href="postback_url">Sign Out</a> {...} </body> Some things I've already looked at: The automatic login and logout are working great. I can log in and out of Facebook on another tab and my site will notice the session changes and update accordingly. The logout seems to be working fine: when clicked, it deauthenticates the user and logs them out of Facebook, as intended. The issue seems to usually happen after a Facebook user is logged out, but it happens somewhat intermittently; it might happen before they ever login, and it goes away after a few minutes/refreshes. Some cookies are left over after the login/logout process, but deleting them does not fix the issue. Restarting the browser does not fix the issue. The user is definitely logged out of Facebook and my site when the problem occurs. I've checked for Facebook sessions and site authentication. All external script calls are being served up correctly. I have a suspicion that there's something else I need to be doing upon logout (like clearing session or cookies), but according to everything I've read about Facebook Connect, all I need to do is call the logout function (and deauthenticate on my server-side). I'm really at a loss; does anybody have any ideas what could be wrong?

  • Cross-domain jQuery using YQL gives robots.txt error

    - by Jens Roland
    On the page http://qxlapps.dk/test.htm I am trying to perform an Ajax load from another domain, qxlapp.dk. I am using James Padolsey's xdomainajax.js plugin from: http://james.padolsey.com/javascript/cross-domain-requests-with-jquery/ When I open my test page, I get no output, but FireBug shows the JSON result, including the error message: "forbidden":"robots.txt for the domain disallows crawling for url: http://qxlapp.dk/projects/dagens_kup/show.php". The robots.txt on the qxlapp.dk domain contains the following: User-agent: Yahoo Pipes 2.0 Allow: / User-agent: * Allow: / So I don't see what the problem is? Shouldn't it pull the page just fine with those settings?

    I am creating a CompositeControl in VB ASP.NET. My control has an Ajax TabContainer with several TabPanels. I need to code it so a value on the querystring can set the container's ActiveTab. Regardless of the querystring piece of this issue, in my CreateChildControl code, I am setting the ActiveTabIndex to a valid index position, but the UI still has the index 0 as active. Any tips? Any help?

  • AjaxSubmit File Upload - Trying to get response $(document).ready() to fire

    - by ncyankee
    I'm using the jquery form plugin (http://malsup.com/jquery/form/) to upload a file via ajax which is processed in the background. The upload is working correctly, and I am using ASP.Net MVC to return a partial view which contains a $(document).ready call to setup a 'timer' to check on the status of the upload file's processing status. When I return the partial view which contains a script block wit ha $(document).ready call, it is never fired, therefore the 'timer' to check for the status of the upload is never started. When I do this via a regular $.post call (without upload) the function fires correctly after the html is loaded into the DOM. Is there anything else I need to do when calling the ajaxSubmit function to get this to fire? Just a sample bit of code: $('form').live('submit', function () { $(this).ajaxSubmit({ success: function (data) { $('#statusDiv').html(data); } }); return false; });

  • ExtJS: Login with 'Remember me' functionality

    - by Chau
    I'm trying to create a simple login window with the very common 'Remember me' functionality. The login validation is done AJAX style, thus the browser won't remember my input. My approach is to use the built-in state functionality, but how to use it confuses me. Ext.state.Manager.setProvider(new Ext.state.CookieProvider({ expires: new Date(new Date().getTime()+(1000*60*60*24*7)), //7 days from now })); ... { xtype: 'textfield', fieldLabel: 'User name', id: 'txt-username', stateful: true, stateId: 'username' }, { xtype: 'textfield', fieldLabel: 'Password', id: 'txt-password', inputType: 'password', stateful: true, stateId: 'password' }, { xtype: 'button', text: 'Validate', stateEvents: 'click' } I know I have to implement the getState method, but on what component (my guess is on the two textfields)? Another thing I fail to realize is, how is my click event on the button connected to the state properties of my textfields?

I would like to ask how is it possible to take all inputs and then to put them in an array and then retrieve them from the php file (for example, should i do explode,or for each..etc??) The input fields are not in a form (just in div with id = "config") Thanks.

  • Why does a ModalPopupExtender fail when using SSL?

    - by Brooke Jackson
    I have created a modal popup using the ModalPopupExtender in Microsoft's AJAX 1.0 for .NET 2.0. It works great when the page doesn't isn't being accessed through SSL (http://) however the link to close the popup fails to fire if accessing the page through https://. Is the ModalPopupExtender at blame? Is it a "Feature" of SSL to block popups, or is it something else I haven't though of? Here is the code I am using: <asp:Button ID="btnHelp" runat="server" Text="?" CausesValidation="False" /> <asp:Panel ID="pnlHelp" BackColor="white" runat="server"> <asp:LinkButton ID="lnkClosePanel" runat="server" CausesValidation="False" OnClick="lnkCloseHelp_Click">Close</asp:LinkButton> <p>Some Text</p> </asp:Panel> <cc1:ModalPopupExtender ID="popExt" runat="server" TargetControlID="btnHelp" PopupControlID="pnlHelp"></cc1:ModalPopupExtender>

  • Implementing google dashboard type interface in asp.net

    - by Sam_Cogan
    I'm looking at implementing a Google IG type dashboard in a .net app. There are a number of options I've found to do this, and i'm trying to establish what is going to be the best to use, in terms of speed, versatility etc. So far the options I am looking at are either to use asp.net webparts and .net Ajax, this would make it quicker to build, but I'm concerned this is going to make the application bulky and slow, or using JQuery, and either .net MVC or Webforms, to custom build an interface. Does anyone have any thoughts on what the best option may be, or any options I may have missed? All I want to do here is to allow users to customise a dashboard with a number of components (which will be user controls). I do also have access to Telerik controls, but I'm not sure if they would be any use here.

  • Calling a webservice through jquery cross domain

    - by IanCian
    hi there, i am new to jquery so please bare with me, I am trying to connect to a .asmx webservice (cross domain) by means of client-side script now actually i am having problems to use POST since it is being blocked and in firebug is giving me: OPTIONS Add(method name) 500 internal server error. I bypassed this problem by using GET instead, it is working fine when not inputting any parameters but is giving me trouble with parameters. please see below for the code. The following is a simple example I am trying to make work out with the use of parameters. With Parameters function CallService() { $.ajax({ type: "GET", url: "http://localhost:2968/MyService.asmx/Add", data: "{'num1':'" + $("#txtValue1").val() + "','num2':'" + $("#txtValue2").val() + "'}", //contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", dataType: "jsonp", success: function(data) { alert(data.d); } }); Webservice [WebMethod, ScriptMethod(UseHttpGet = true, XmlSerializeString = false, ResponseFormat = ResponseFormat.Json)] public string Add(int num1, int num2) { return (num1 + num2).ToString(); }

  • PageMethods security

    - by TenaciousImpy
    Hi, I'm trying to 'AJAX-ify' my site in order to improve the UI experience. In terms of performance, I'm also trying to get rid of the UpdatePanel. I've come across a great article over at Encosia showing a way of posting using PageMethods. My question is, how secure are page methods in a production environment? Being public, can anyone create a JSON script to POST directly to the server, or are there cross-domain checks taking place? My PageMethods would also write the data into the database (after filtering). I'm using Forms Authentication in my pages and, on page load, it redirects unauthenticated users to the login page. Would the Page Methods on this page also need to check authentication if the user POSTs directly to the method, or is that authentication inherited for the entire page? (Essentially, does the entire page cycle occur even if a user has managed to post only to the PageMethod)? Thanks
