• Merge Primary Keys - Cascade Update

  Is there a way to merge two primary keys into one and then cascade update all affected relationships? Here's the scenario: Customers (idCustomer int PK, Company varchar(50), etc) CustomerContacts (idCustomerContact int PK, idCustomer int FK, Name varchar(50), etc) CustomerNotes (idCustomerNote int PK, idCustomer int FK, Note Text, etc) Sometimes customers need to be merged into one. For example, you have a customer with the id of 1 and another with the id of 2. You want to merge both, so that everything that was 2 is now 1. I know I could write a script that updates all affected tables one by one, but I'd like to make it more future proof by using the cascade rules, so I don't have to update the script every time there is a new relationship added. Any ideas?

  I am attempting to add functionality to my Django app: when a new post is approved, I want to update the corresponding Facebook Page's status with a message and a link to the post automatically. Basic status update. I have downloaded and installed pyfacebook - and I have read through the tutorial from Facebook. I have also seen this suggestion here on SO: import facebook fb = facebook.Facebook('YOUR_API_KEY', 'YOUR_SECRET_KEY') fb.auth.createToken() fb.login() # THIS IS AS FAR AS I CAN GET fb.auth.getSession() fb.set_status('Checking out StackOverFlow.com') When I get to the login() call, however, pyfacebook tries to open lynx so I can login to Facebook 'via the web' -- this is, obviously, not going to work for me because the system is supposed to be automated ... I've been looking, but can't find out how I can keep this all working with the script and not having to login via a web browser. Any ideas?

  Hi all, got a weird problem for you: I've set up an svn server on a home machine, which is accessible to the members of my game team over DynDNS. So far so good- everyone was able to checkout the repo no problem. In addition, several team members and I were able to update and commit just fine. The conundrum is this: One of my team members, who is able to both checkout and commit, is unable to update. TortoiseSVN proffers: Error Could not open the requested SVN filesystem Has anyone dealt with this problem before? This isn't my first SVN rodeo, but I have to admit I'm stumped. Thanks!

  I have a form that posts back to /Edit/ and my action in controller looks like this: // // POST: /Client/Edit [AcceptVerbs(HttpVerbs.Post)] public ActionResult Edit(Client client) My form includes a subset of Client entity properties and I also include a hidden field that holds an ID of the client. The client entity itself is provided via the GET Edit action. Now I want to do entity update but so far I've only been trying without first loading the entity from the DB. Because the client object that comes in POST Edit has everything it needs. I want to update just those properties on the entity in datastore. So far I've tried with Context.Refresh() and AttachTo() but with no success - I'm getting all sorts of exceptions. I inspected the entity object as it comes from the web form and it looks fine (it does have an ID and entered data) mapped just fine. If I do it with Context.SaveChanges() then it just inserts new row..

Here, the user can ask to delete the item. I would like at this time return to the list with the item deleted from the list and from the data source. As by setting its loaded to false unloads it. Visibility to true reloads it and with the Math random shouldn't allow it to cache? So has anyone done this before or know how I can get this to work? • PrimeFaces commandButton doesn't navigate or update

  I'am using Primefaces to make my app a little bit more beautiful. I noticed that p:commandButton and h:commandButton don't work the same way. The p:commandButton calls the method and nothing else hapens. The h:commandButton calls the method and returns a navigation. I have got trouble with redirecting after pressing the login button when using p:commandButton. How to deal with that?   Dear All! I have a datagrid which contains bid and ask - prices for currency-symbols. The data is updated every seconds. I update the data by creating a new collection of my viewmodel-entities and bind this collection to the datagrid every second. The problem is: Because my datagrid contains a template-column with a button "buy", this button is also recreated every second! This means, that when the user hovers the button, the hover-styles blinks, as the button is recreated every second. Additionally sometimes the click-event is not fired correctly, if the button is recreated while the user has his mouse-left-button pressed. Any suggestions, how to solve real-time-update a datagrid with button-columns?

• C# gridview nested in repeater update

  My current situation is to display an unknown number of Plantypes and within those Plantypes display a list of Participants(also unknown number), the participants have a textbox and a dropdown that is editable (you can't edit the individual rows, there is one update that does a bit of validation then updates all rows.) I currently have a gridview nested withing a repeater, the repeater displays the Plan in a label and OnItemDataBound I call a method to populate the gridviews. It looks great, but I can't figure out how to save all the data at once. I'm not opposed to handling this a different way, as in loose the gridview and or repeater, if someone has a better idea. This is C# and framework 2.0...there is no sorting or paging on the gridviews...just some links and the fields to update. thanks in advance, Padawan

• UITableView: Need a liveUpdate (Huge amount of cells)

  Hey all, I have a UITableView which shows some information. The informations are from a XMLFile. The Xmlfile is pretty big, about 500 entries. I don't want that the user has to wait until the parsing has finished, i want to add cell by cell to the TableView. I don't have my expected liveUpdate which i'm searching for. The intervall the method is called is about 0.001 to 0.0025 seconds. Any ideas to fix that? Sebastian

My initial impression when reading about deployJava.js was that it would do this out of the box when you simply set a version number as a function parameter for the "runApplet" function. • SharePoint 2010 GAC deployment doesn't update

  The following issue just crept up on me. The steps mentioned below had worked just fine until about 2 days ago. When I deploy a update to a solution (of web parts) to a SharePoint 2010 server I don't see the update. The solution does get installed, but from what I can tell the installed web parts are over a month old (nothing new is installed). I do the following steps through PowerShell: retract the solution from the web app remove the solution add the solution install the solution to the web app I have tried restarting the Web App, restarting IIS and also restarting the server. Nothing seems to work. I notice that after I remove the solution it does get removed from the GAC. After I add/install it the solution does reappears in the GAC. Am I missing something? Am I overlooking a step that I should be doing? Something to try?

  Recently someone stated that they thought all Creates should be CreateOrUpdates. Instinctively i thought bad, but now I am trying to find out if I have any grounds. Situation interface IService{ void Create(Object a); void Update(Object a); } or interface IService{ void CreateOrUpdate(Object a); } My first thought is if you implemented everything CreateOrUpdate then you have no control if someone accidentally sends you wrong data, or concurrency issues where someone changes a "primary" field right before you call update.... But if you remove those cases, are there any other cons?
