  Hi there, In my latex document i've set \hyphenpenalty=15000 and \pretolerance=10000 to remove word hyphenation and make text bounds even. But I can't disable this effect for section/subsection headers. All headers looks badly due to big spaces between words (image). Are there any solution to disable \hyphenpenalty=15000 and \pretolerance=10000 effect for headers? Thank you!

  Is there a way to embed a .swf file in a webpage and provide a way to make it fullscreen? I'm creating these files with Adobe Captivate, which doesn't seem to provide a way to publish in other usable formats (.avi files are too big, and no .flv is available, to which there seem to have some players around that allow fullscreen). If there's a way to convert .swf to some other "embedable" format, please let me know.

  Our application tends to be running very slow recently. On debugging and tracing found out that the process is showing high cpu cycles and SQL Server shows high I/O activity. Can you please guide as to how it can be optimised? The application is now about an year old and the database file sizes are not very big or anything. The database is set to auto shrink. Its running on win2003, SQL Server 2005 and the application is a web application coded in c# i.e vs2005

• Hotkey for double-click highlight?

  I'm working in Eclipse and find myself always replacing multiple copies of the same word, but I always have to take my hands off the keyboard and screen to get the mouse, hover over the word, double click to select, and then copy or rewrite the word. Is there any way I can just move the cursor inside the word and hit some hotkey that would highlight it? Seems like this would be a big timesaver. Or if there's a way to create a hotkey that would be perfect too.

  I'm trying to run jstack command on my java application. Application is rather big, running inside jboss AS occupying about 4gb of memory. OS is Windows Server 2003 Standard edition. Every time i get an error "Not enough storage is available to process this command". There is enough ram, 16gb, and disk space. So, any ideas?

• Is currying just a way to avoid inheritance?

  So my understanding of currying (based on SO questions) is that it lets you partially set parameters of a function and return a "truncated" function as a result. If you have a big hairy function takes 10 parameters and looks like function (location, type, gender, jumpShot%, SSN, vegetarian, salary) { //weird stuff } and you want a "subset" function that will let you deal with presets for all but the jumpShot%, shouldn't you just break out a class that inherits from the original function? I suppose what I'm looking for is a use case for this pattern. Thanks!

• What would cause my Silverlight .xap to quadruple in size suddenly?

  I've been working on a Silverlight application. I just noticed that the .xap file is now four times as big as it was, what could have caused that? Here's some other info: there seems to now be many more language settings in the bin/Release directory I checked "Reduce size of .xap" in under Properties/Silverlight but that just brought it down from 1300 to 1200.   So I just ran into a stupid problem in which users could not download files that had a percent sign in it. It wound up being URLScan. I had to un-set two things in urlscan.ini: 1) Set VerifyNormalization to 0 (disabled) 2) Remove the percent sign from the "DenyUrlSequences" section Do an iisreset, and it problem solved. But the big question is: How much of a security risk is this?
