    I have a script that pulls information from a facebook page. Information that isn't available using opengraph but it's something my client has requested for their pages. Anyway, is there any way to use the cookies from the browser in the cURL script? At the moment when you run the script it asks you to log in. But I am already logged into Facebook at the moment and the script is still asking me to log in. Is there any way to use the cookies from the browser? Thanks

  • Programmatically use a server as the Build Server for multiple Project Collections

    Important: With this post you create an unsupported scenario by Microsoft. It will break your support for this server with Microsoft. So handle with care. I am the administrator an a TFS environment with a lot of Project Collections. In the supported configuration of Microsoft 2010 you need one Build Controller per Project Collection, and it is not supported to have multiple Build Controllers installed. Jim Lamb created a post how you can modify your system to change this behaviour. But since I have so many Project Collections, I automated this with the API of TFS. When you install a new build server via the UI, you do the following steps Register the build service (with this you hook the windows server into the build server environment) Add a new build controller Add a new build agent So in pseudo code, the code would look like foreach (projectCollection in GetAllProjectCollections) {       CreateNewWindowsService();       RegisterService();       AddNewController();       AddNewAgent(); } The following code fragements show you the most important parts of the method implementations.     We recently announced the availability of our new AutoVue Document Print Service products. For more information, please read the article entitled Print Any Document Type with AutoVue Document Print Services that was posted on our blog. The AutoVue Document Print Service products help address a trivial, yet very common challenge: printing and batch printing documents. The AutoVue Document Print Service is a Web-Services based interface, which allows developers to complement their print server solutions by leveraging AutoVue's printing capabilities within broader enterprise applications like Asset Lifecycle Management, Product Lifecycle Management, Enterprise Content Management solutions, etc. This means that you can leverage the AutoVue Document Print Service products as part of your printing solution to automate the printing of virtually any document type required in any business process. Clients that consume AutoVue's Document Print Service can be written in any language (for example Java or .NET) as long as they understand Web Services Description Language (WSDL) and communicate using Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP). The print solution consists of three main components, as described in the diagram below: a print server (not included in the AutoVue Document Print Service offering) that will interact with your application to identify the files that need to be printed, the printer to send each file, as well as the print options needed for each file (paper size, page orientation, etc), and collate the print job requests.   • The Work Order Printing Challenge

    One of the biggest concerns we've heard from maintenance practitioners is the ability to print and batch print work order details along with its accompanying attachments. Indeed, maintenance workers traditionally rely on work order packets to complete their job. A standard work order packet can include a variety of information like equipment documentation, operating instructions, checklists, end-of-task feedback forms and the likes. Now, the problem is that most Asset Lifecycle Management applications do not provide a simple and efficient solution for process printing with document attachments. Work order forms can be easily printed but attachments are usually left out of the printing process. This sounds like a minor problem, but when you are processing high volume of work orders on a regular basis, this inconvenience can result in important inefficiencies. In order to print work order and its related attachments, maintenance personnel need to print the work order details and then go back to the work order and open each individual attachment using the proper authoring application to view and print each document. The printed output is collated into a work order packet. The AutoVue Document Print Service products that were just released in April 2010 aim at helping organizations address the work order printing challenge. Customers and partners can leverage the AutoVue Document Print Services to build a complete printing solution that complements their existing print server solution with AutoVue's document- and platform-agnostic document print services. The idea is to leverage AutoVue's printing services to invoke printing either programmatically or manually directly from within the work order management application, and efficiently process the printing of complete work order packets, including all types of attachments, from office files to more advanced engineering documents like 2D CAD drawings. Today we’ll show you a quick and easy way to convert those files to AVI or MPG format with the free Windows application, Pazera Free 3GP to AVI Converter. Just double-click the 3gptoavi.exe file to run the application. To add your 3GP or 3G2 files to the queue to be converted, click on the Add files  button at the top left.   • FB login and privacy policy

    I'm bulding up a site, where the ONLY ONE method for log in, is the fb login button. Now i'm wondering if i need to make users check and read the my own site's privacy and policy before and accept that is some way, is this needed? The site is for text/pourpouse sharing, and you can only interact with the site after you are logged/registered, althought you can only navigate lists of users and pourpouses. thanks

  • Phone crash when try to use vibration on Android

    Im developing an app that when you click a button the phone has to vibrate, the issue is that the phone just chashes. Saing that I need permitions to vibrate. I've already set this permition in the build.setting (android manifiest).   • Share on: FB, Tweet, Digg, Linkedin, Delicious, My mother, ... it's just on fashion, or some real value?

    Nowadays your site is not in fashion if you don't show at least a couple of share buttons like these: Is this just fashion, or do people actually get something good out of it? When I say "something good" I mostly mean something that you could measure, and not just the feeling that was good. Maybe I can better explain with an example: did you notice (in some way) that many people clicked on those links to share your page/s on those web 2.0 social sites? And in such a case on which social networks did you see they mostly share your pages? BTW I'm not talking about Google PR, i know all web 2.0 social sites use nofollow everywhere and even hidden links, so they are useless by themselves for PR. UPDATE: According to this video, Google's Alter Ego says that they now use in some way data from social sites in ranking. If this is true, it's obvious that the Share on button for FB, Tweet, etc are definitely of some values. But again my question is more about what you noticed in your real experience to be a direct benefit of adding those type of "Share On" links on your webisite? I.e. did you see more traffic coming in form FB, or some users who bought your products because of FB or Twitter? Or any other benefits? Thanks

    If you double/triple click on the myObject here the text does NOT disappear. Why is this not working when there are multiple events being fired? That is, are there actually multiple "text" objects, with some existing but no longer having a reference to them held by the local "myText" variable?   • Problems in creating click package for native application

    Hello everyone I've tried may times to package a native click application mainly following this tutorial: http://notyetthere.org/?p=316 The procedure works and I'm able to execute the binaries both on phones and desktops. The problems start when I install the click package. The application is launched but the game is not working (the "gamefield" is not loaded). The only error message that is given is that versions of localstorages are not compatible (that is impossbile, because it never changed). I suspect that the problem is related to apparmor but I have no proof of that.   • Questions to ask to ensure someone understands programming? (and iOS)

    So, I've been tutoring my friend for 2 years. Most people learn programming on their own in 3-6 months, (sans algorithms). It's confusing 'cause he'll run anywhere I tell him to, understands how to read C and C++ honestly better than the average college student, and he'll modify and repeat anything I do... but for the love of god he doesn't move on to new things and he still has test anxiety. I've recently realized he's copied and toyed with existing, but not once gained an understanding of why. I was under the impression he was learning fast because he could write it, but when you say "Make a function that takes an NSString" and he says "How?" and I say "The same way you make ANY function that takes any parameter, NSString is just a type like int" and all I hear is "No, it's an NSString, it's a special thing." and we get into an arguing match 'cause I'm like "It's just a class like any other class, you've used them for months now" and blah... I've subconsciously avoided comprehension questions because of this. Anyway, if you have him copy a program and say "Just initialize it" "Where?" "I don't care, didLoad or initWithCoder or Awake from nib, anywhere it gets initialized" and "No, it has to be exactly where you had it!" "No it doesn't!" I'm sick of this, but he won't give up. So I'm done avoiding these yelling matches and becoming a sadist from now on. I would like some help in finding questions to ask him that force him to understand what he's doing. I'd like some help and any resources I can find. CQuestions looked like a good site, but now I need some iPhone stuff. For example: *What do properties do? How are they changed? How do you change the name of the getter? *Why are Booleans inefficent? What advantage does int have over a boolean and how does the bit-shift operator help? *What does Copy do to a string? *What's the difference between a view controller and a uiview? *Write a program from memory that displays blah on screen, and flashes each view one by one. From beginner up to intermediate, hobbyist with some algebra at most. I'm just looking for resources to work with. I left in backstory so you know to "twist" the questions so he doesn't know he's supposed to init a variable here or there, but has to figure it out, and learn why it goes "here" or that "anywhere is fine as long as it's". Sample programs, anything. I'm relatively open about this because, being a programmer, I seriously doubt he's the only one who has this issue. I'd like to know how others have overcome similar. What made things "click"? for you? Did you have a hard time finding answers on Google, and how did you learn a better way to find what you were looking for? (He's so exact, he'll search for how to write a checkers program with color X and Y inside a uiview, as his search string, instead of breaking it up into components, I need help with that too, and believe it is related). This type of problem has to remind one of us of someone they know. So, Exercises to force them to think? Ways we overcame this thing in the past? I greatly appreciate any help.

MY recent interests are dynamic UI,physics(sprite kit) and social apps.As i feel lost in vast pool of knowledge,i would like to know from you expert iOS developers, what particular features should i concentrate on for the future? should i try opengl-es for 3d gaming for 64 bit processors or stick to basic 2d physics gaming for some time or the evergreen social apps category ? appreciate your help, thanx

    I've been using Xcode and building iPhone apps for two months, but I'm finding it really hard to grasp good application design. I always face problems—like you can't put your tabbarcontroller in another custom viewcontroller, for example—that 'sometimes', of course, would work if you did the creation of the views/viewcontrollers programmatically. So I don't know if I should start writing the creation of my objects or use Interface Builder. What are your experiences?

    Is there anybody to help me? I've installed Virtualbox and Genymotion on Ubuntu successfully. Then I selected Samsung Galaxy s5 4.4.2 on Genymotion, downloaded it succesfully either, but I've got problems in installation of APK. So I did genymotion translation 1.1 and gapps-kk, but yet my APK didn't work. When I started Genymotion appeared viber, tango, Google service, etc, but unfortunately it has stopped.

  • Unusual Apache->Tomcat caching issue.

    Right now, I have an Apache setup sitting in front of Tomcat to handle caching. This setup has been given to an external service to manage, and since the transition, I've noticed odd behavior. Specifically, when I request a swf file from the web server, I hit the Apache cache (good), but occasionally I'll receive a truncated file. Once I receive this truncated file, the cache will NOT refresh until I manually delete the cache and let the swf pull down from tomcat again. The external service claims that the configuration is fine, but I don't see any way this could be happening aside from improper configuration. Now, there are two apache and two tomcat servers under a load balancer, and occasionally one apache cache will break while another does not (leading to 50% of all requests getting bad, truncated data). Where should I start looking to debug this issue? What could POSSIBLY be causing this odd behavior? This is what I've come up with: The subnet mask is therefore 255.255.255.128 The network address is 192.168.14.128 There are a total of 128 available addresses (including the network address and broadcast address) To divide the network we create to subnets: 192.168.14.128/26 192.168.14.192/26 This will have a subnet mask of 255.255.255.192 Am I missing anything, or is this correct?

    Hi, I have setup for Android development with 1.5 SDK on Mac O.S X - Eclipse 3.5. I want to upgrade the SDK, so as i followed to choose Window-Android SDK and AVD Manager from Eclipse. But it throws error as follows: XML verification failed for https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/repository/repository.xml. Error: cvc-elt.1: Cannot find the declaration of element 'sdk:sdk- repository'. Failed to fetch URL I tried "http" instead of https, but still getting the same error. I don't know why such crap error comes. If i see Android website, http://developer.android.com/intl/zh-CN/sdk/index.html its confusing. Could someone guide me easily to update Android SDK to 2.x or later without uninstalling my current setup environment. Thanks. I appreciate your kind suggestions.

    I'm trying to configure a domain and SSL to run multiple Facebook apps through the SSL. What I need advice on is routing the apps through the SSL without actually hosting them on that server. Ideally they would be hosted on the client's server. Any advice on how to do this? UPDATE Following the advice from the replies I have setup a domain which houses my Facebook apps under one SSL.   • Unexpected "waiting for localhost"?

    So I ran into something that kind of worried me today. Lately my computer has been kind of slow and I'm dealing with that, but today when I opened Facebook in Google Chrome, I noticed a message in the bottom left corner while it was loading the site that said "Waiting for localhost". It was brief and I managed to notice it because my computer is slower than it used to & it caused Chrome to hang briefly, long enough for me to read it. As I'm quite confident in that Facebook isn't running on my localhost, I'm wondering what could potentially make Chrome wait for localhost while I'm loading webpages from external servers. Is there a malware of some kind that I should be worrying about? Unfortunately I have no other information than this to go on, and I have no idea how to further investigate this, if it generated any logs or whatever. I'd appreciate any help in figuring out this matter!
