    We have an WPF Application build on .net framework 3.5. Some testers find if they uninstall .net framework 3.5, but install .net framework 4.0, our APP fails to launch itself. Dose this mean that .net framework 4.0 does not include all 3.5 libs, and users have to install .net 3.5 even though they have 4.0? I see here are some migration issues listed by Microsoft http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee941656.aspx#windows_presentation_foundation_wpf Are they all breaking changes so that the backward compatibility is ruined?   • Selecting text and focusing on a textbox

    I'm trying to programmatically select the text in a textbox, and focus on it too, so that when the form is launch the user only has to start typing and it will replace what is already there. I've been using the code: stage.focus = _finalScoreTF; _finalScoreTF.setSelection(0, _finalScoreTF.text.length - 1); but it doesn't work...any ideas?

  • Change default global installation directory for node.js modules in Windows?

    In my windows installation PATH includes C:\Program Files\nodejs, where executable node.exe is. I'm able to launch node from the shell, as well as npm. I'd like new executables to be installed in C:\Program Files\nodejs as well, but it seems impossible to achieve. Setting NODE_PATH and NODE_MODULES variables doesn't change anything: things are still installed in %appdata%\npm by default. How can I change the global installation path?

    Hi everyone, I've playing around with linux and noticed that for some mysterious reason commands like '/bin/sh ' just will not work. Each time I'm trying to start a process it yields 'cannot execute binary file' error message. m@sanctuary:~$ sh sed /bin/sed: /bin/sed: cannot execute binary file When I first launch sh and try to execute sed, it succeeds. I'm starting to loose my wits. It would be just great, if somebody could help me. Thank you.

  • Grails: GGTS not running on Amazon AWS EC2 anyone else successful?

    Im just curious if anyone has had success trying to run the Groovy Grails tool suite on an Amazon AWS EC2 instance with its display exported into your windows machine. If so, I wanted to know which flavor of linux was used on the EC2. I am not having much success with it on the Amazon Linux but haven't tried their Ubuntu instances yet. I got all the way to getting GGTS installed and getting the display exported but when I launch GGTS I get log errors about libraries missing. This is most likely because I didn't use yum to install it so I am probably missing dependencies but I didn't have a choice its not offered as a yum package.   • iPhone Application failing to come back from sigkill

    I have no idea if this is intended behaviour, but whenever the application exits (say, the user is double-clicking the home button and pressing on the red dash on the icon) I get the dreaded SIGKILL. Now, when I try to launch the app again all I get is the old screen state and a frozen (I presume ?) program. It could be because of clunky memory management, but NSZombieEnabled doesn't seem to agree. Any thoughts ?

    I've already figured out how to add a menu item to the right click context menu of the windows explorer using the registry. I currently have it set to launch my application when my menu item is clicked. However, I want to know if there is a way to know what file is was right clicked on. I thought it would have been sent as a command line argument to the launched program, but it's not. Any ideas?
