    Hi I have to submit my first iPhone app. I have tested it on iPod touch and iPhone. While submitting, is it necessary to add the iPad logo. if yes how to do it. my application is a small utility application...and I have not programmed it keeping iPad GUI guidelines in mind for example it doesn't have the landscape layout. how is it normally...if I submit an app is it automatically considered for iPad as well.

    I'm interested in literature (articles on internet, in magazines, books, podcasts - I don't really mind anything) that describes how PHP works internally, about its gotchas and perhaps some advanced functions. Is there anything like this out there? I tried to search on Google, but majority of articles were about starting with PHP and its basic functions. Any input is really welcome as I'm trying to understand the language internally - I'm tired of my mindless typing of code without understanding its essence.

    Hello, I was wondering if anyone ever tried to extract/follow RSS links using SgmlLinkExtractor/CrawlSpider. I can't get it to work... I am using the following rule: rules = ( Rule(SgmlLinkExtractor(tags=('link',), attrs=False), follow=True, callback='parse_article'), ) (having in mind that rss links are located in the link tag). I am not sure how to tell SgmlLinkExtractor to extract the text() of the link and not to search the attributes ... Any help is welcome, Thanks in advance

  • Removing the transperancy from image while keeping the actual image

    Hello people, I have three images,and , they are not square or rectangular in shape. They are just like face of anyone. So,basically, my images are in the size 196x196 or anything like that, but complete square or rectangle with the face in the middle and transperant background in the rest of the portion. Now, I want to remove the transperant background too and just keep the faces. Don't know if this is possible and mind you, this isn't a programming question.

    Why do people say that business logics should be implemented on the server side code (e.g. EJB) and not on the client application code? The example that I have in mind is a business object validation on a EJB based architecture. Does it really have to be delegated to the EJB or is it ok to run it on the client before the object is sent to be server to be saved?

Is there any benefit to expose web services from the class library and reference these as opposed to referencing the actual .dll (Although one benefit of the web service approach is the granularity and thus surface area exposed is up to you at coding time)?     I can use JavaScript's split to put a comma-separated list of items in an array: var mystring = "a,b,c,d,e"; var myarray = mystring.split(","); What I have in mind is a little more complicated. I have this dictionary-esque string: myvalue=0;othervalue=1;anothervalue=0; How do I split this so that the keys end up in one array and the values end up in another array?
