  Okay, so for some reason this is giving me a error as seen here: http://prime.programming-designs.com/test_forum/viewboard.php?board=0 However if I take away the '&& $cur_row < 10' it works fine.   I have a function that converts a .csv file to a datatable. One of the columns I am converting is is a field of names that have a comma in them i.e. "Doe, John" when converting the function treats this as 2 seperate fields because of the comma. I need the datatable to hold this as one field Doe, John in the datatable. • Keeping User-Input UITextVIew Content Constrained to Its Own Frame

  Trying to create a large textbox of fixed size. This problem is very similar to the 140 character constraint problem, but instead of stopping typing at 140 characters, I want to stop typing when the edge of the textView's frame is reached, instead of extending below into the abyss. Here is what I've got for the delegate method. Seems to always be off by a little bit.   I need to write a sproc which performs some INSERTs on a table, and compile a list of "statuses" for each row based on how well the INSERT went. Each row will be inserted within a loop, the loop iterates over a cursor that supplies some values for the INSERT statement. What I need to return is a resultset which looks like this: FIELDS_FROM_ROW_BEING_INSERTED.., STATUS VARCHAR2 The STATUS is determined by how the INSERT went. For instance, if the INSERT caused a DUP_VAL_ON_INDEX exception indicating there was a duplicate row, I'd set the STATUS to "Dupe". If all went well, I'd set it to "SUCCESS" and proceed to the next row. By the end of it all, I'd have a resultset of N rows, where N is the number of insert statements performed and each row contains some identifying info for the row being inserted, along with the "STATUS" of the insertion Since there is no table in my DB to store the values I'd like to pass back to the user, I'm wondering how I can return the info back? Temporary table? Seems in Oracle temporary tables are "global", not sure I would want a global table, are there any temporary tables that get dropped after a session is done?

I was hoping to get some dynamic text below the map (based on the contents on the) which length I do not know so I can't set an absolute height. Has anyone got a workaround for this problem?

• Why do touches only get detected ABOVE my CCBitmapFontAtlas and not ON it? (cocos2d)

  I am detecting touches for CCBitmapFontAtlas (just text labels) as shown in the code below. But it seems that touches are only detected slightly ABOVE the CCBitmapFontAtlases? Did something get screwed when converting between coordinate systems?   I'm helping someone clean up a malware infection on a site and I'm having a difficult time correctly matching some strings in sed so I can create a script to mass search and replace / remove it. • Add in integer to returned value with jQuery

  I have a page with a div id="videoFrame" that holds the video tag. The videos have variable heights so I have a function to grab the height value and plug it into the css of the div id="videoFrame like so: var videoHeight = $('video').attr('height'); $('#videoFrame').css('height',videoHeight+'px'); This works great. But here's the part driving me crazy. I have a p tag with disclaimers at the bottom of the div id="videoFrame". So I would like to add an additional 26px to the returned height. I tried: var videoHeight = $('video').attr('height'); var frameHeight = videoHeight + 26; $('#videoFrame').css('height',frameHeight+'px'); But as you would expect it is adding 26 to the end of the returned value. i.e. if returned value is 337 output for var frameHeight is 33726. I can not for the life of me figure out how to do this. Thanks in advance for any help

• Regex to GENERATE thumbnails!?!?! (but that's crazy!)

  Hello everyone! So here is my situation, and the solution that I've come up with to solve the problem. I have created an application that includes TinyMCE to allow users to create HTML content for publishing. The user can include images in their markup, and drag/resize those images effecting the final Width/Height attributes in the IMG tag. This is all great, the users can include images and resize/relocate them to their desired appearance. But one big problem is that I am now sending a (possibly) much larger image to the client, only to have the browser resize the image into the requested Width/Height attributes. All that bandwidth and lost load time.... So my solution is to pre-process my users markup content, scanning all of the IMG tags and parsing out the Height/Width/Src attributes. Then set each img's SRC tag to a phpThumb request with the parsed Height/Width passed into the thumbnails URL. This will create my reduced size image (optimising bandwidth at the expense of CPU and caching). What do you think about this solution? I've seen other posts where people were using mod_rewrite to do something similar, but I want to effect the content on the page service and not manipulate the image requests as they're being received. .... Any thoughts about this design? I need some help with the fine details as my regex skills need some work, but I'm very short on time and promise to pay my technical knowledge debt soon. To make the regex's easier, I can be sure of some things. Only img tags that need this processing will have an existing width="" height="" attributes (with the double quotes, and lower cased text, but I suppose matching the text case insensitive would be better if TinyMCE changes) So a regex to match only the necessary Img tags, and maybe another three regex's to extract the src, the width, and the height?   Hi Stackoverflow, I'm building a website where I'm using jQuery to animate a horizontal tabbed menu. What I want to achieve can be seen here: / link removed / If you hover/mouseover the "Link 1" tab, you'll see that a white div is expanding. Each of the tab menu items are a styled li-tag. What I want to do is, that when you hover/mouseover i.e. the "Link 2" tab, the white div contracts and then expands again with content related to "Link 2" instead of "Link 1". Also, the "Link 1" tab should be expanded by default (i.e. when you just entered the site) Does any of you jQuery ninjas out there know how to do this? • Maximized MFC window has dead region at the top

  I'm trying to make a MFC window fullscreen whenever it is maximized. This window is being used to draw OpenGL content. So far it works fine—it fills the entire screen with the exception of the taskbar—but there's a dead black region at the top of the screen, 62 pixels in height. It's pretty darn close to the height of the Windows 7 taskbar, but it pretty much stays the same regardless of if the taskbar is on autohide or on a different side of the screen. When I get a CWind::OnSize callback, the height that is given is 988, which is 62 pixels short of the actual screen height (1050). I've tried to manually set the window height to 1050 with SetWindowPos, I've tried to give Windows the screen dimensions in CWnd::OnGetMinMaxInfo, and I've tried to give the screen dimensions to glViewport instead of the 988 pixels that I'm being given. None of these seem to work. I'm accomplishing the fullscreening with a call to… ModifyStyle(0, WS_MINIMIZEBOX | WS_MAXIMIZEBOX | WS_SYSMENU | WS_CAPTION | WS_POPUP, 0); …in the SIZE_MAXIMIZED CWnd::OnSize callback, which works fine, except for this dead region. I don't know if it's an OpenGL thing or a Win32 thing or a MFC thing. The GetClientRect function for my window reports the false 988 height. The same OpenGL rendering code works fine in my Mac OS X build. Curiously enough, I have gotten the dead region to move around a bit when I play with the taskbar (autohiding it, moving it around the screen, etc.). I've gotten the dead area to shrink to about half—not sure if the other half went to the bottom of the window or not.

  Hi! I'm trying to create a small search for my site. I've tried using full-text index search, but I could never get it to work. This works decently well, but I'm just wondering how efficient would it be? This would only be for a small blog, too. Either way I'm just wondering if this could be made any more efficient.

• Absolutely positioned element moved by margin of another element

  Here is my jsFiddle for the following question: http://jsfiddle.net/arelia/Rruxf/ I'd like to have a header that stays at the very top of the body and a footer that stays at the very bottom of the body. I have a content div (position: relative) between the header and footer, and when I set a margin around the div my absolutely positioned header and footer move from their top/bottom positions by the height of that margin (this also happened when I tried setting a margin above and below the paragraphs in the div). In the fiddle you can see that the footer is not attached to the bottom even though it's absolutely positioned (I went ahead and made the header static since static gives the intended result). How do I position the header and footer to the top and bottom of the body and not have the content in the middle move those two elements? If the position: absolute elements are moved out of the flow why would anything affect their position at all? I've tried searching here and Google for "CSS margin affects absolute" and a few other phrases to no avail. I discovered this while playing around with it some more in developer tools: Metrics show the body is the height of the html element minus the amount of one margin (the margin that's still affecting the footer). So, the body must be stretching to the height of the content div since there is nothing else within the document flow within the body to define its height. But that height ends where the content ends instead of after the margin. Shouldn't it include the margin? If I make the height of the body 100%, the footer positions itself to the bottom of the viewport and then stays fixed in that spot when I scroll. • Need help with jquery json data transfer from php file

  Hey guys I am trying to return the latest 10 results of a query from a php file, through json format, to a jquery getjson function that prints results. I am getting weird problems though. For example I am only getting 8 entries returned, and some are disordered, and sometimes nothing is returned. I am not really sure what I am doing wrong, so if anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate it. • PHP - How do you secure a unique variable name?

  This function cropit, which I shamelessly stole off the internet, crops a 90x60 area from an existing image. In this code, when I use the function for more than one item (image) the one will display on top of the other (they come to occupy the same output space). I think this is because the function has the same (static) name ($dest) for the destination of the image when it's created (imagecopy). I tried, as you can see to include a second argument to the cropit function which would serve as the "name" of the $dest variable, but it didn't work. In the interest of full disclosure I have 22 hours of PHP experience (incidentally the same number of hours since the last I slept) and I am not that smart to begin with. • Extend footer wrap to width of page.

  I've made a footer wrap outside the content wrap (which everything else is in). I would like to make the footer wrap extend to fill the width of the page and I would like it to be fixed on the bottom. • How do I make a shrinkable scrollbar?

  What I want: <div style="overflow:scroll;width:100%;height:50%;"> &nbsp; <div style="height:500px;width:400px;border:solid 3px red;"> </div> </div> <div style="overflow:scroll;width:100%;HEIGHT:50%;"> &nbsp; <div style="height:500px;width:400px;border:solid 3px red;"> </div> </div> Notice how if I shrink the height of the window the scrollbars shrink. This is the functionality I want. The issue: I want to make something similar to the above, only with a fixed height of 100 pixels for the top div. If I do this in practice the bottom scrollbar no longer shrinks as I shrink the page - the system adds an outer scrollbar to manage both sections. I don't want this, I want to retain the behavior seen above. How do I do this?

  I am working on a simple gaming ladder script. I am having little to no luck trying to find an effective way to reset my ladder information while leaving my table id and name fields intact. I am trying to get create a loop to update my entire table, similar to the way I draw my table. I currently have a table with 6 fields(id,name,win,loss,battles,score). I want to reset the values of win,loss,battles, and score back to 0. While leaving id and name alone. Effective reseting my ladder for a new season to begin. The only way I have been able to complete this is to find out how many rows there are and run a for loop. It seems vary inefficient. Was hoping I could get some better insight as to how to go about this.
