• What ASP.NET MVC project files should I not add to Subversion

  this is likely a naive question, but I want to do this right the first time. I have a MVC solution which has the following: Data project - C# Services project - C# MVC Web Project - ASP.NET MVC Test Project Currently, I am using the MVC2 source as a means to debug my own code. I do not plan on checking that in, but I realize once I go back to the MVC2 DLL, my solution will change. I'm pretty sure I just shouldn't check in stuff that changes with each build: the bin folder on the Web project, for example. Is there a list of what not to commit to source control? :)

• Symfony2 : How to make the php_intl extension available for Symfony2?

  I'm trying to follow this documentation on Symfony : http://symfony.com/doc/current/book/forms.html ok so here is my thing, I've externalised my form and created a specific form class for handling the process and being able to reuse it. So what happen when I submit the form, whatever the info are okay or not for my class, I get this fatal Error : Fatal error: Call to a member function setAttribute() on a non-object in C:\Program Files (x86)\wamp\www\QNetworks\vendor\symfony\src\Symfony\Component\Form\Extension\Core\DataTransformer\NumberToLocalizedStringTransformer.php on line 130 Call Stack I'm running with php 5.3.9 and my intl extension is installed and activated BUT when I run the app/check.php command I see : [[WARNING]] Checking that the intl extension is available: FAILED * Install and enable the intl extension (used for validators) * So I don't understand what the problem with this extension. Should I reinstall it ? When I go here : http://php.net/manual/en/intl.requirements.php I see tht i can install the PECL or the ICU library, but i don't know if I should and if there is any relation with my problem ..   I'm using SVN with Google Code Project Hosting for a school project. As the codebase increases in size, I often find myself wondering questions like: "who originally checked in this line of code?" "who has been checking in the most code recently?" "Of the final product, how much of it was written by Person X?" "Which coder is best at adhering to the coding conventions?" Is there any plugin available to do this? (If not, I would be interested in developing one myself. Any ideas on where to get started on that?) We're using Visual Studio 2008 with the AnkhSVN plugin.

  Imagine I have a template function like this: template<Iterator> void myfunc(Iterator a, Iterator::value_type b) { ... } Is there a way to declare a typedef for Iterator::valuetype that I can use in the function signature? For example: template< typename Iterator, typedef Iterator::value_type type> void myfunc(Iterator a, type b) { ... } Thus far, I've resorted to using default template arguments and Boost concept checking to ensure the default is always used: template< typename Iterator, typename type = Iterator::value_type > void myfunc(Iterator a, type b) { BOOST_STATIC_ASSERT(( boost::type_traits::is_same< typename Iterator::value_type, type >::value )); ... } ...but it would be nice if there was support in the language for this type of thing.

• Python: Elegant way to check if at least one regex in list matches a string

  Hi. I have a list of regexes in python, and a string. Is there an elegant way to check if the at least one regex in the list matches the string? By elegant, I mean something better than simply looping through all of the regexes and checking them against the string and stopping if a match is found. Basically, I had this code: list = ['something','another','thing','hello'] string = 'hi' if string in list: pass # do something else: pass # do something else Now I would like to have some regular expressions in the list, rather than just strings, and I am wondering if there is an elegant solution to check for a match to replace if string in list:. As I understood when I call this get method to execute it properly I need to mock person.getId() , and I've been sniping around in circles for a while now any help would be appreciated.

  Hi everyone I am new to mongo, this is my db design: product := { name: str group: ref, comments: [ ref, ref, ref, ref ] } comments := { ... a bunch of comments stuff } tag := { _id: int, #Need this for online requests tag: str, products: [ {product: ref, score: float}, ... ], comments: [ {comment: ref, score: float}, ...], } So my usage pattern is: GIVEN a product, find comments that have certain tag and sort them accordingly. My current approach involves: Look for that tag object that has tag=myTag pull all the comments out, sorted look for that product where product.name=myProduct pull all the comments out (which are dbrefs by the way) loop through the result of 2, and checking if they are in 4, (this I can do a limit 10) etc. It's pretty inefficient. Any better methods?

  Hello, I'm writing a UI test case (using ActivityUnitTestCase) and would like to check if at a given time a View subclass is visible to the user. I've found the View#isShown() method, which claims to do exactly this - checking the visibility field of this element and all its parents - but somehow it always returns "false" for all the elements. I'll be grateful for some help. If it makes it easier, I can paste some code. Also, I found ViewAsserts#assertOnScreen(View origin, View view) but it doesn't seem to do the right thing either - always returns true. Am I perhaps calling it wrong: assertOnScreen(viewImTesting.getRootView(), viewImTesting)? Thanks, Jan

• Wait for tasks to get completed in threadpool.

  Hello I have created a thread pool in C++ which stores all tasks in a queue. Thread pool start n number of threads which takes tasks from queue , process each task and then delete tasks from queue. Now , I want to wait till all tasks get completed. Checking for empty queue for completion of tasks may not work as , task can be given to each thread and queue can be emptied but still the tasks can in processing mode. I am not getting idea how to wait for all the tasks completion.This is a design problem. Any suggestions?

The error occurs because one of the fields in the database has no value (null), so the string property could not handle it. How can i convert this null to string?   hi, I'm working on checkBoxTree in GWT-EXT 2.0.3 with Java. My aim is to get a selectionModel which allows me to select(check) only one TreeNode at a time. If I select another TreeNode after selecting one then, the previous one should be unchecked. I've tried using DefaultSelectionModel with TreePanel, but either I've not used it properly or it's working only for selection of TreeNode not for checking a TreeNode. Can anyone help me in this? But how can i check whether the date is passed 2 days or not? • How to stop Visual Studio from returning duplicates answers?

  In my team, we put all our projects (only 7 large ones) in the same solution. And since some code is common between project we tend to have the same file included in each project. This is fine and compiles/runs well. But when I do a global search in my solution, VS does a "stupid" search and goes through all the files in each project, without checking if a file has already been searched. This leads to longer searches whose results have duplicates. Do anyone know a fix for this issue?
