• Nucleus Research: Oracle Fusion CRM is a CRM Leader

  Nucleus Research published their updated CRM Technology Value Matrix – Second Half 2012.  The Value Matrix evaluates CRM vendors on functionality and usability which they consider the core indicators in an application’s ability to deliver initial ROI and value over time.  Oracle Fusion CRM is in the “Leader” quadrant.  CRM On Demand enters the “Leader” quadrant with the release of version 20 delivering continued investment in Oracle CRM On Demand.   Oracle Siebel CRM is in the “Expert” quadrant.  RightNow continues to be placed in the “Facilitator” quadrant.  The full report is available in the CRM section of the Industry Analyst Reports page on Oracle.com  -  Industry Analyst Relations Web site.

Todd Kimbriel, Director of eGovernment Division at State of Texas attended Oracle Open World and talked with Oracle's John Foley about their private cloud services offering. Later, Todd participated in the keynote panel of Database as a Service Online Forum> along with Carl Olofson,IDC analyst , Juan Loaiza,SVP Oracle and couple of other Oracle customers.   Happy Friday, everyone! This week, I want to highlight a really wonderful resource, the Oracle Linux Wiki on wikis.oracle.com. You can find a lot of in-depth technical information there and it’s probably worthy of a bookmark to check in on occasionally. One of my favorite types of content on the wiki is the do it yourself hands on labs. We do these at in person events like Oracle OpenWorld and also online for our Virutal SysAdmin Days, and those are great because you can get real-time assistance if you have any questions. But, if you’re eager to learn more about Oracle Linux and don’t want to wait for one of those events, you can step through these labs in your own time. All of the information you need is on the wiki. • Oracle Linux 6.3 RPMs Now Available

  The installation media ISO for Oracle Linux 6.3 is still "in the oven" but the RPMs are already available.  You can grab them on ULN, if you have an Oracle Linux support subscription, or anyone can get them from public-yum.oracle.com.  Oracle Linux 6.3 includes a quarterly update of Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel Release 2 (kernel-uek-2.6.39-200.9.0.el6uek).  To install that kernel, make sure you have the ol6_UEK_latest channel or repo enabled.  Enjoy.
