• Drawing up a session value within SQL query? PHP and MySQL

  Hi, on one of my web pages I want my manager user to view all activities assigned to them (personally). In order to do this, I need something like this: $sql = "SELECT * FROM activities WHERE manager = $_SESSION['SESS_FULLNAME']"; Now obviously this syntax is all wrong, but because I am new to this stuff, is there a way I can call up the full name from the user's session within a query? This is so that when I call up the database values to be displayed within the web page, only the activities for the manager who is logged in is displayed. For example, the activities table has a manager column of a full name entry. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

Every time one of the threads has completed a task, I'd like to update a status on a table taskID | status I use DataGridView and BindingList in the following way: BindingList<Task> tasks; dataGridView.DataSource = tasks public class Task : INotifyPropertyChanged { ID{get;} Status{get;set;} } Can a background thread safely update a task's status? and changes will be seen in the correct order in the GUI? Second Question: When do I need to call to PropertyChanged? I tried running with and without the call, didn't seem to bother.. Third Question: I've seen on MSDN that dataGridView uses BindingSource as a mediator between DataGridView.DataSource and BindingList Is this really necessary?

  I'm trying to figure out why insertNewObjectForEntityForName is not working. I assume it's something to do with my data model but can't be sure. Xcode does not report any errors nor does it crash. All I get is the first log statement output to the console.   I need to search the history of a file in a git repository to find a line that is gone. The commit message will not have any relevant text to search on. What command do I use? Further details: this is the history of my todo list out of our non-stellar task tracking software. I've been keeping it for two years because there's just not enough information kept for me in the software. My commit messages usually have only the task ids, unfortunately, and what I need to do is find a closed task by subject, not by number. Yes, the real solution is better task tracking software, but that is completely out of my hands.

  I'll use an example to explain what behaviour I would like to achieve. If you had a project management app and you added a task, but not all the contributors are users of the app. So when you adding contributors to the task you can enter a user name or email address. Here is the part that I'm finding a little tricky. The task model has many contributors which are linked through the user model, but from this point on I want to achieve 2 things. Store the non members email(this would obviously be quite simple) If that email address was to create an account it would then link that user to the task and remove the temporally saved email. This way, when that user creates an account all the related tasks will already be associated with their email. Is this something that i could achieve with a polymorphic association? or is there something else I should be looking at?

  I am wondering if the following is possible in android. I want to have my application do a certain task whenever the phone get awoken. Whenever some other application acquires a wake lock to do it's task, I want my application to do something of its own. Can I get notified through an intent using a broadcast receiver about this event? If so, what will happen if that other application finishes before my task ends? The reason I'm asking is that I don't want to wake the phone up to do my task and affect the battery life. I want to take the opportunity of the wake lock to do my thing.

You get A saying my task is due in 1h and other which says his task is due in 1.5h. The information is collected on your server. In which programming language or even how would solve that? • SBS2003 to SBS2011 Migration - Installation Error

  Microsoft Small Business Server 2003 to 2011 Migration. I followed the Migration Guide from Microsoft and the source server had no errors when running the various tests prior to the migration. I have completed the destination server setup using the Answer File and the server is up and running. It all looks good, I can access Exchange and AD and the only problem is the error message when you log in stating that the setup did not complete and to check the logs. Because all looks good I am continuing the migration to the destination server. I also have to state that this client does not use Sharepoint at all. Do I have to redo everything?
