• Kinesis Advantage OS X media keys

  I recently started using a Kinesis Advantage with my MacBook and one of the things I've really missed since switching from my Apple keyboard is having the functionality of the OS X media keys. I know the Advantage keyboards are pretty customisable but having Googled for quite a while I haven't been able to find any sources saying that it's possible to map the function keys on the Advantage to the appropriate OS X function. Has anyone had any success in getting something like this to work? Any tips would be hugely appreciated.

• How to declutter and organize the cables on and under my desk?

  Computer cables and external devices are a continuous source of frustration for everybody who likes a clean working environment. The more devices you add to your home office, the more disastrous the situation under the table becomes: cords falling behind the desk, ugly cables running along the sides and under of the desk, making it almost impossible to clean and remove the dust.   I've been trying a ff plugin called Stylish, which overrides css in websites. The only problem is there is no way to toggle back to standard view. Because i work as a web designer/developer i need an extension for either chrome or ff that can do this and then i'll use that for my primary 'browsing' browser any tips would be greatly appreciated! ps. • Want to turn old Powerbook Mac into small form factor desktop

  I've got an old powerbook g4. Battery is totally dead, as is the superdrive. I've looked into selling but it's worth less than it would cost to ship it safely. So I'm considering cracking it open and and taking it's parts and creating some kind of small form factor desktop, probably for the living room.   We're using DPM 2010 for exchange backups, The backup Disk(s) are iSCSI attached drives from multiple NAS boxes. We'd like to mirror iqn.2009-07.com.example.example:RAID.iscsi4.vg0.iscsi05 onto iqn.2012-3.com.example.example:RAID.iscsi4.vg0.iscsi05 DPM 2010 requires the disk for itself and handles volume creation, Therefore we can't just create a mirrored volume in Disk Management. DPM itself doesn't seem to have any ability to mirror the Disks in its storage pool. Any tips on how to mirror the volumes from one drive to the other?

• Windows Server 2003: smtp and ftp services keep shutting down after a while

  If I go into the IIS manager and start ftp and smtp, after about an hour or so they will have been shutdown. There is nothing in the event viewer to explain why they would shut down. IIS webserver continues to run with no problem. I don't see any options in their configuration that would cause this. Any tips on how to troubleshoot this?

• Host timeout during file upload/download over SFTP/SSH

  I tried different clients because i thought its client related, but all of them sooner or later disconnect or stop uploading/downloading files, and getting a timeout disconnect. After a reconnect it works again for a bit of time. Really strange cannot figure out the reason. I'm on a mac and the server is a debian VPS! If u need further informations ask please! I recently discovered MAMP and its just easier to work with it than with the personal web server Apple has and via command like utils.   Dear ladies and sirs. I have a need to create a self signed certificate non interactively. Unfortunately, the only tool that I know of (makecert) is interactive - it uses GUI to ask for a password. My OS is Windows (from XP to 2008).   We wish to enable some form of load balancing for a Tomcat webapp we're currently using today. Unfortunately, I know almost to nothing about Tomcat load balancing, clustering and so on.
