• Apache not finding index.php by default, set rule for routing through index.php

  Apache on the server is set to find index.php by default, and that works for a normal folder. However, I have a .htaccess rule to route all requests through my routing script: RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php [QSA,L] With these .htaccess contents, the server returns a 404 error. Only by specifying /index.php does the routing script get called. Any tips on what I am doing wrong?

• How do I create a SCCM package where the main installation initiates self-contained msi's?

  I have a few applications that are installed using InstallShield -- during the installation one or two parts of the application are installed with msi's. I've tried recording an iss file to instruct the installation process, but these installations always seem to freeze up. I've also tried installing in a sequence, first installing the msi's, but this doesn't prevent the main installation from trying to install these. Any tips/suggestions/ideas? Thanks!

  I have found several threads from 2010 and early-2011 talking about excessive resource usage by mod_pagespeed I haven't seen any recent ones. I am facing excessive memory usage, which is causing server to crash several times a day. I am wondering if the issue was ever fixed before mod_pagespeed 1.0 was released. • How can I run a (16-bit) .COM executable that has been renamed to .COS?

  I'm trying to run a couple of 16-bit legacy DOS programs from a standard windows XP dos prompt. The problem is that the file extensions have been renamed from .COM to .COS and they are stored on read-only media and I can't copy them (special environment). Any tips on how to invoke such files despite the weird extension? If they had been 32-bit EXEs, it wouldn't have been an issue running them even without their proper extensions, but with these COM files, I'm unable to find a way to run them.

• VirtualBox guest can get out- Windows 7 host can't get in

  Have a Ubuntu guest in VirtualBox using NAT. It has an IP of 10.0.2.15. The VM can hit anything in the outside world. However, the host OS (Windows 7) cannot ping the internal VM ('Destination net unreachable'). Any tips on how to resolve this? Thanks!

(as it's described here http://www.alistapart.com/articles/sprites) The "second" version uses an image tag and it's clip css property.   Any tricks in getting WatiN to run on Win7/IE8? My code: browser = new IE(); browser.GoTo("http://testserver"); browser.TextField(Find.ByName("txtUser")).TypeText("tyndall"); The third line never really runs and I get an error back: System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException : The RPC server is unavailable. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800706BA) The second line seems to run. IE8 appears and is navigated to the correct URL.
