I would like the ImageView's height to dynamically increase depending on the max height of the screen. I'm aligning the layout containing the buttons along the bottom of edge of the screen, and I would like the rest of the screen taken up by the above ImageView. Also, since the ImageView contains a centered image, I would also like to set min height, and a scrollbar if the screen is too small to display the imageview and the buttons below. Thanks!   • Codeigniter pre_system hook for DB driven dynamic controller selection - best approach?

    Although I can tentatively see a solution to this, I was wondering if there may be a glaringly obvious simpler approach. My aim is to use the first segment of a given URI to query the DB as to which controller should be run. I assume I would have to reform the URI with the resultant controller name in segment 1, then allow the system to continue processing as normal (hence a pre_system hook). Although not essential I would also like to hold a couple of other variables from the same DB request to be used later in the call stack, and assume this would have to be done using global variables? Any better suggestions would be gladly received. Thanks.

I have a rails application developed to spain, therefore, all content is in spanish, so, I have a search box to search in a mysql database, all rows are in spanish, I'd like to improve my search to allow to users to search keywords in singular or plural form, for example: keyword: patatas found: patata keyword: veces found: vez keyword: vez found: veces keyword: actividades found: actividad In english, this could be relatively easy with help of singularize and pluralize methods ... where `searching_field` like '%singularized_keyword%' or `searching_field` like '%pluralized_keyword%' But, for spanish....   • New to Drupal -- how should I create a main page with a mix of dynamic and static content?

    I apologize for the terribly basic question but I'm not even a particularly adept web dev. I've read that Drupal is great if you know exactly what you want to do (then the API is handy) but I don't even know what I need yet. That is what I am hoping to gain from this discussion. I want a main content page which has a fancy content slider (using jQuery or something) which will be a selector for showing some basic information on these 2 or 3 subjects. I'm stuck on where I should be writing this mix of markup. In the template? Create "content" through a content type? Since there's a fair share of CSS and markup required to do this, I don't know if I can do that through the "basic page" content type that was there. I'm looking for pointers that can teach me how I would become aware of what Drupal can and can not do. Thanks for reading, let me know if I need to clarify anything.

    I have the following tables below City --------- CityID StateID Name Description Reports --------- ReportID HeaderID FooterID Description I’m trying to generate a grid for use in a .Net control (Gridview, Listview…separate issue about which will be the ‘best’ one to use for my purposes) which will assign the reports as the columns and the cities as the rows. Which cities get displayed is based on the state selected, and is easy enough SELECT * FROM CITIES WHERE STATEID=@StateID However, the user is able to select which reports are being generated for each City (Demographics, Sales, Land Area, etc.). Further, the resultant cells (City * Report) is a sub-query on different tables based on the city selected and the report. Ie. Column Sales selected yields SELECT * FROM SALES WHERE CITYID=@CityID I’ve programmed a VERY inelegant solution using multiple queries and brute-forcing the grid to be created (line by line, row by row creation of data elements), but I’m positive there’s got to be a better way of accomplishing this…? Any / all suggestions appreciated here as the brute force approach I’ve gotten is slow and cumbersome…and this will have to be used often by the client, so I’m not sure it’ll be acceptable in it’s current implementation.

  • (How) Can I approximate a "dynamic" index (key extractor) for Boost MultiIndex?

    I have a MultiIndex container of boost::shared_ptrs to members of class Host. These members contain private arrays bool infections[NUM_SEROTYPES] revealing Hosts' infection statuses with respect to each of 1,...,NUM_SEROTYPES serotypes. I want to be able to determine at any time in the simulation the number of people infected with a given serotype, but I'm not sure how: Ideally, Boost MultiIndex would allow me to sort, for example, by Host::isInfected( int s ), where s is the serotype of interest. From what I understand, MultiIndex key extractors aren't allowed to take arguments. An alternative would be to define an index for each serotype, but I don't see how to write the MultiIndex container typedef ... in such an extensible way. I will be changing the number of serotypes between simulations. (Do experienced programmers think this should be possible? I'll attempt it if so.) There are 2^(NUM_SEROTYPES) possible infection statuses. For small numbers of serotypes, I could use a single index based on this number (or a binary string) and come up with some mapping from this key to actual infection status. Counting is still darn slow. I could maintain a separate structure counting the total numbers of infecteds with each serotype. The synchrony is a bit of a pain, but the memory is fine. I would prefer a slicker option, since I would like to do further sorts on other host attributes (e.g., after counting the number infected with serotype s, count the number of those infected who are also in a particular household and have a particular age). Here i have the PHP code that should update the data. My question is now how do i build the mySQl string dynamically. and how do i echo back the changes/updates that where just changed on the db.     How can I call a function and keep my constructor private? If I make the class static, I need to declare an object name which the compiler uses to call the constructor, which it cannot if the constructor is private (also the object would be extraneous).   • FULLTEXT Irrelevant results

    Just came across this issue using the fulltext search of mysql. I have like 250 records ( long articles like stuff ) and am using the fulltext MATCH AGAINST IN BOOLEAN MODE. Now if I search for a keyword e.g. 'Samsung' and if this keyword is present in ALL the records then it returns all the 250 records which it should ( of course without `IN BOOLEAN MODE it would return nothing as the keyword is present in more than 50% of the records ). Now the problem is that in some articles the keyword 'Samsung' occurs once and in others a couple of times, but MYSQL is giving a score of 1 to all the records returned, even those which have 'Samsung' like 15 times in them.

    Hi Gurus, This is with reference to this question where I got one tabular report format. I need to update the user entered values correctly back to the same table rows. I am in the process of doing this by using general form post data methods by using some logics which I think will not be easy to maintain. So, just out of curiosity, Is there a front end creator javascript libraries or frameworks which can create the front end for any query's resultset and updates the corresponding rows when the user updates them from front end. This need not have all the full functionality, any one usable, customizable thing will reduce the code maintenance problems. I have googled for some javascript libraris for this but not able to get which will be suitable. Please suggest any useful tools. My environment is Mysql, PHP, JQuery, XAMPP server on Windows. I've looked up tutorials on game trainers to understand how they work, and the general idea is to use a memory scanner to try and find the address of a certain value. Then modify this address by injecting a dll or whatever. But i made a simple program with a global int* and its address changes every time i run the app, so i don't get how game trainers can hard code these addresses? Or is my example wrong? What am i missing?
