• How can I launch a missile?

  I am working on an open-source missile launcher application. I have added a big red button to a Form that says "Launch Missile". When I click the button, the event handler gets called. From the event handler I call a method named LaunchMissile(). So far so good, but how do you launch a missile from C# code? Will I have to write this code myself or is there an API or third party library for launching missiles? Please add sample code for various launch scenarios: orbit, moon, mars, etc.

From this user login when i run the script for create database then it will create new database. But tuser don't have access that newly created database generated from script. Any one have any idea?, i want to write the script so tuser have access that new created database after creation and can have add user permission of newly created database.

  I have a usercontrol in an asp web forms application that I am working on in C#. I am binding to a repeater and outputting a field of information, named "Text", using the following syntax: <%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "Text") %> I am looking for a method that will allow my to search for a keyword within the string that is returned from above, and replace that string with a hyperlink such as <a href="www.anysite.com/keyword">keyword</a>. I'm not very familer with user controls and getting data back in this manner so I am looking for advice on how this might be best handled. Thanks!

• Conditional Join - join 1 tables 2 ways

  I have a set of (not very well normalised or relational) tables named PLAN, GROUP, PRODUCT CLIENT Most have linkage i.e. PLAN - CLIENT on clno GROUP to PRODUCT on PRODCD However, the linkage between PLAN and GROUP is tricky. A plan has 2 field of interest GRPNO and PRODCD. What I want to do is if GRPNO != 0 then join GROUP on GRPNO. However if GRPNO = 0 then I want to join GROUP on PRODCD. The frustrating thing is that the fileds I want to return in my queries are the same across the board I just need to be able to vary the join, or join the same table twice. The best I can come up with is 2 queries and merge them using datasets, or possibly using a union. Is there a nifty way to do this in one select? I should point out I am access Foxpro over ODBC to do this. Thank you!

I need a criteria to get all the elements after i make sort on nullable inner object.

  I want to create a login dialog by inheriting QDialog. I put in subclass named LoginDialog 2 QLineEdits: for login for password. I want to be able to warn the user with a message if the caps lock is ON while he will start to fill passwordLineEdit. Suppose I have a function that tells the current state of CapsLock button. So I want to do eventFiltering in LoginDialog class in order to understand that user starts to fill the password field (i.e. user just stepped into the password field) So for that purpose I wrote the following in the LoginDialog class constructor: m_passwordLineEdit->installEventFilter(this); So the only thing is to do is to implement a function which can understand that user is going to fill the password. • Save downloaded content when in app purchase is complete

  Hello experts! I have created an app which allows users to buy non-consumable content. The retrieving-ids-payment-process works like a charm. What i can't really figure out is how my content should be saved into the phone. The existing structure is that I have all my current content in Resources/packages/. For every package there is an matching entry in a package.plist. When the purchase is complete it is time to download the content from the server. What i retrieve from the server is a zip file with the new package that I have bought. My observer will call a method named provideContent: -(void) provideContent: (NSString*) productIdentifier { In here I will call my server and download the package } What i need from you guys is some sort of step by step walkthrough or tutorial of how, when the zip is retrieved(is zip allowed?), unpack this zip and add it to my current package structure. Inside temp1 I have 1000 .txt files with names 1.txt, 2.txt, 3.txt ... & in temp folder I have sub directories named 1, 2, 3. In the folders 1, 2, 3 ..., I have one file with extension java or xml. My need is to automate the copy of the contents of the .txt file, and paste into the respective file in the temp sub directory. Is it possible to do this using Perl?

  In my code I am using JSF - Front end , EJB-Middile Tier and JPA connect to DB.Calling the EJB using the Webservices.Using MySQL as DAtabase. I have created the Voter table in which I need to insert the record. I ma passing the values from the JSF to EJB, it is working.I have created JPA controller class (which automatcally generates the persistence code based on the data base classes) Ex: getting the entity manager etc., em = getEntityManager(); em.getTransaction().begin(); em.persist(voter); em.getTransaction().commit(); I have created the named query also: @NamedQuery(name = "Voter.insertRecord", query = "INSERT INTO Voter v values v.voterID = :voterID,v.password = :password,v.partSSN = :partSSN,v.address = :address, v.zipCode = :zipCode,v.ssn = :ssn, v.vFirstName = :vFirstName,v.vLastName = :vLastName,v.dob = :dob"),But still not able to insert the record? • source control when starting up a new project

  when starting with a project and using source control i find it hard to separate the things people are working on so they don't either write duplicate code or think it should be named one thing and so on. this problem diminishes over time because the general foundation is in place and it's easier to separate the tasks so they don't overlap as much how do you manage working with source control in the beginning phase? EDIT: I can see that it don't really have anything to do with source control, but it gets more apparent when you have source control too. so the question becomes more along the lines of "how do you manage to separate the tasks so they don't overlap too much. I think it's really hard and i haven't really seen much about how to do it.

• What's so bad about in-line CSS?

  When I see website starter code and examples, the CSS is always in a separate file, named something like "main.css", "default.css", or "Site.css". However, when I'm coding up a page, I'm often tempted to throw the CSS in-line with a DOM element, such as by setting "float: right" on an image. I get the feeling that this is "bad coding", since it's so rarely done in examples. I understand that if the style will be applied to multiple objects, it's wise to follow "Don't Repeat Yourself" (DRY) and assign it to a CSS class to be referenced by each element. However, if I won't be repeating the CSS on another element, why not in-line the CSS as I write the HTML? The question: Is using in-line CSS considered bad, even if it will only be used on that element? If so, why? Example (is this bad?): <img src="myimage.gif" style="float:right" />

• Passing parameters to custom RESTful routes in Rails (using :collection)

  I am trying to add a custom route to my RESTful routes using the :collection param on map.resources like so: map.resources :products, :collection => { :tagged => :get } The tagged action takes in a :tag parameter. I am able to link to the URL route using: tagged_products_path(:tag => tag.name). My issue with this is that the URL that this generates: /products/tagged?tag=electronic I would like the tag to be in the URL and not the tag, like so: /products/tagged/electronic Of course this can be accomplished by a separate named route, but I'm wondering if I'm missing something and there is a way to do this with the :collection hash. • module compiled with swig not found by python

  Hello, I've a problem with SWIG and python. I've a c-class that compiles correctly, but the python script says it can't find the module. I compile with: swig -c++ -python codes/codes.i g++ -c -Wall -O4 -fPIC -pedantic codes/*.cc g++ -I/usr/include/python2.6 -shared codes/codes_wrap.cxx *.o -o _codes.so This gives me a _codes.so file, as I would expect, but then I have this python file: import sys import codes (rest of the code omitted) It gives me: Traceback (most recent call last): File "script.py", line 3, in <module> import codes ImportError: No module named codes According to http://www.swig.org/Doc1.3/Introduction.html#Introduction_nn8 this is all I should have to do... The files are in the same directory, so the path should not be a problem ?

• jquery load links not clickable

  ok i am loading a separate page with links in it, into a page named index.php. it loads fine, but when i click one of the links inside the loaded content, nothing happens. they dont act as links. but if i do a alert('hi'); after the load('page.html'); then it will work. any ideas on getting this to work without alerting something after it loads? oh also i cant use a callback, unless there is a way to update the get variable because the page loading, has a $_GET variable, and the links inside the loaded page are supposed to update the $_GET variable. anyways is there a way to make the links clickable after loading the page?

  Hi I started using ccnet to build my project. This is quite new issue for me so I have some problems. First thing: Why does ccnet copy directory with my project to another directory (ccnet creates new folder named the same as project name included in ccnet.config file and copies to them directory with my project) Second thing: Dashboard page cannot show reports for recent build (When I click on any item in recent build then I get page: "The page Cannot be found" I suppose that page cannot link files with logs. but I don't know how to link it. • wxWidgets errors occur after upgrading gDEBugger

  all. Today I upgraded my gDEBugger (though I don't think it involves gDEBugger) to the latest version but problem occurs. When I tried to open gDEBugger, an alert window named "wxWidgets Debug Alert" pop-up, reporting that "....\src\common\xpmdecod.cpp(822):assert "i==colors_cnt" failed in wxXPMDecoder::ReadData(). Call stack: [00]wxConsole....balabala....", like follows. All these words seem just like warnings and didn't affect the following work, however I am wondering why this problem occurs? What's the root cause? I am not familiar with wxWidgets and hopes those guru on it can help me resolve it.

• How do I do a grouping by year?

  I have a books model with a date type column named publish_date. On my views I'm iterating through the books and I want to group the books by year such that I have a heading for every year and books that were published on that year to be listed below the year heading. So by starting with "2010" all books published on 2010 would be listed, then another heading "2009" with all books published in 2009 listed below it and so forth. <% @all_books.each do |book| %> <%=link_to book.title + ", (PDF, " + get_file_size(book.size) + ")" %> <% end %> By doing a book.publish_date.strftime("%Y") I am able to get the year but I do not know how to group the entries by year. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Right now I am trying two things... $('#bob').children('.divTitle')[0].css('background-color', '#0f0'); // assuming children is returning an array... and $('#bob').children('.divTitle').css('background-color', '#0f0'); neither with any success... can anyone tell me what I am missing here? Do I have to go deeper than ".children"?

• CakePHP 1.3 Plugin Shortcut Route

  Hi, I searched a lot around the web but I couldn't find any specific sollution to this. In CakePHP 1.3, different from 1.2, if you had a controller inside a plugin, and both had the same name, you could access through "<plugin>/<action>", and it would call the 'default' controller. But in 1.3, according to this: http://cakeqs.org/eng/questions/view/setting_up_magic_routes_for_plugins_in_cakephp_1_3 It was removed, and only the 'index' action in the default plugin controller can be accessed this way. I thought about adding extra code in my routes.php file, and loop through all the plugins in my app, making such routes for every action in the controllers named after the plugin, but it doesn't seem like it's the right thing to do... any other suggestions to make this work in 1.3? or at least some very specific code documentation of this particular change? I've already read something in the 1.3.0-RC4 annoucement, but it was not clear enough.. thanks

Now when i browse the directory by browser then the codeigniter’s not found page displays. I can’t browser the file /assets/image.jpg but it displays when i call it from an tag What can i do now? • R - Specifying colClasses in the read.csv

  Hi, I am trying to specify the colClasses options in the read.csv function in R. In my data, the first column "time" is basically a character vector while the rest of the columns are numeric. data<-read.csv("test.csv" , comment.char="" , colClasses=c(time="character","numeric") , strip.white=FALSE) In the above command, I would want R to read in the "time" column as "character" and the as numeric. Although, the "data" variable did have the correct result after the command completed, R returned the following warnings. I am wondering how I could fix these warnings? Warning messages: 1: In read.table(file = file, header = header, sep = sep, quote = quote, : not all columns named in 'colClasses' exist 2: In tmp[i[i > 0L]] <- colClasses : number of items to replace is not a multiple of replacement length Thank in advance Derek
