    My scenario: There are 3 tables for storing tv show information; season, episode and episode_translation. My data: There are 3 seasons, with 3 episodes each one, but there is only translation for one episode. My objetive: I want to get a list of all the seasons and episodes for a show. If there is a translation available in a specified language, show it, otherwise show null.     Hey Few Questions 1.Is it legal to have an IFrame on a website which inside has an external website? 2.In an IFrame is it possible to only show a section of the src that isnt the top left of the site (for instance if there was a chart in the middle of a website, could u have just the chart in your Iframe, or atleast start it centred there) 3.Any way to stop my IFrame from auto redirecting me to the external site for 3: ie <iframe src="http://fifa.com"></iframe> Just sends me to fifa instead of actually showing that site in a frame.

    For a project, I have to convert a binary string into (an array of) bytes and write it out to a file in binary. Say that I have a sentence converted into a code string using a huffman encoding. For example, if the sentence was: "hello" h = 00 e = 01, l = 10, o = 11 Then the string representation would be 0001101011. How would I convert that into a byte? <-- If that question doesn't make sense it's because I know little about bits/byte bitwise shifting and all that has to do with manipulating 1's and 0's.

    Fatal error: Call to a member function getArea() on a non-object in {directory}/includes/src/Mage_Core_Model_App_Area.php on line 155 Cropped up when I installed an extension that I wrote on a clean install of Magento. When ported to the dev server it took it down and I cant seem to find where it has originated. Disabling the extension changes nothing. Along with clearing the cache and all the regular Magento hiccups. I've ensured that file permissions are correct to the best of my knowledge.

Someone recommended to me that I use .NET "Dictionary" instead of arrays. Now I have never used that before. Can someone show me a relative example of how I am to use .NET Dictionary here?

Furthermore, I don't understand why the inclusion of the length property makes all the difference in filtering the elements. The second method does nothing, since it returns all the elements. The first method, with the only change being the addition of the length property, correctly filters the elements. I would very much like a line-by-line explanation. [product_id1] = quantity; [product_id1] = size [product_id1] = color; [product_id2] = quantity; [product_id2] = size; [product_id2] = color; ... etc so when a user select the quantity of a product then selects its color then selects to add to a cart i want the items selected to be added into a session and each item added to the cart , its attributes selected to be added into a session. how would i do this? many many thanks.

    there is a specific niche which I would like to target by providing a complete enterprise level software solution.... the problem is, where do i begin ? meaning, i come from writing just desktop software on VB/ASP .net/PHP/mysql and suddenly unfamiliar terms popup like Oracle, SAP Business Information Warehouse, J2EE.... obviously, something is pointing towards Java, is it common for software suites, or solutions to be developed 100% on Java technology and standards? Are there any other platform to build enterprise level software on ? i am still lacking understanding what exactly is "Enterprise level" ? what is sufficient condition to call a software that sells for $199 and then suddenly it's $19,999 for "enterprise" package. I dont understand why there is such a huge discrepancy between "standard" and "enterprise" versions of software. Is it just attempting to bag large corporations on a spending spree ? so why does one choose to develop so called "enterprise" softwares ? is it because of the large inflated price tag you can justify with ? i would also like some more enterpreneural resources on starting your own enterprise software company in a niche....   • Adding Categories to my Articles in my Rails app (Small Help)

    I'm currently building a semi-small ruby app for a project. The problem I'm currently facing is the following: I want to be Able to fit the Article into the Categories. I've already accomplish this by having two models. An article model with a foreign key of category_id and my Category model with the name of the category. With a has_one and belogs_to relationship. (We're assuming you can only fit an article into one category). Here's the piece of code. This is the new method, where i create a new article and load up all the categories. def new @article = Article.new @categories = Category.find(:all) end The problem comes when i try to get the category from a combo box in order to insert it along with the article. This is the combo box code : f.select(:category_id,@categories) And this is the create method: def create @category = Category.find(params[:id]) @article = @category.articles.new(params[:article]) if @article.save flash[:notice] = "Article Submitted Sucessfully" redirect_to user_path else render :action = 'new' end end I believe that the problem i have is in this line when i try to load up the selected category "@category = Category.find(params[:id])" because whenever i hardcode the this line into @category = Category.find(1) It Works perfectly

    I have a 1000x1000 300dpi image that I need to convert to a 100x100 96dpi thumbnail. How do I do this in ImageMagick? I'm after the smallest possible file size at the highest possible quality. Doing something like this: convert myimage.png -quality 100 -resize 100 PNG8:mynewimage.png .... does change the dimension, but still maintains the DPI. If I can get this to change to 96dpi, I should get a smaller file size. I've tried -density, etc., but can't seem to make them work for me. Maybe I put the commands in the wrong order or passed the wrong parameters. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
