  • How to find a hidden streaming video/audio link and record it

    I've been using 'URL snooper' to find the hidden streaming url. And feed that url to VLC to record streaming video/audio. But the VLC can't read those url. Then I also found that the url is like a floating url that changes every several hours. So the same audio station won't have same url. The streaming audio provider has bunches of audio stations and shuffle the link frequently. Is there any way to record the streaming media in this case? Please advise, thanks.

    I just bought a Mac Pro 1,1 from my coworkers and I'm looking to upgrade video card as the one inside is very noisy. What are my options? Basically I'm not looking to spend a lot of money, in fact i'd rather to spend as little as possible and get low end or mid range card, I'm not really playing games all that much so pretty much anything will do, I'd prefer 2xx series though. Current Mac Pro sells w/ GT120, Apple sells upgrade kit for $149 (which is okay, I just not sure if I'll be able to use this card on such an old Mac Pro)

    hi, i send ajax requests with jquery, and i have a function: $('input').ajaxSuccess(function(e, xhr, settings) { console.log(xhr.responseText); }); Ajax response ara russian letters in utf-8, all server (apache, php) and files are in utf-8 but response text is something like this: \u0421\u043b\u0438\u0448\u043a\u043e\u043c \u043c\u0430\u043b\u043e \u0431\u0443\u043a\u0432! how could i decode this characters to normal words?     I have a string in Python 2.7.2 say u"\u0638". When I write it to file: f = open("J:\\111.txt", "w+") f.write(u"\u0638".encode('utf-16')) f.close() In hex it looks like: FF FE 38 06 When i print such a string to stdout i will see: '\xff\xfe8\x06'. The querstion: Where is \x38 in the string output to stdout? In other words why the string output to stdout is not '\xff\xfe\x38\x06'? If I write the string to file twice: f = open("J:\\111.txt", "w+") f.write(u"\u0638".encode('utf-16')) f.write(u"\u0638".encode('utf-16')) f.close() The hex representation in file contains byte order mark (BOM) \xff\xfe twice: FF FE 38 06 FF FE 38 06 I wonder what is the techique to avoid writting BOM in UTF-16 encoded strings?

    Hi, I am doing some url redirections in a project that I am currently working on. I am new to web development and was wondering what the best practise was to remove any illegal path characters, such as ' ? etc. I'm hoping I don't have to resort to manually replacing each character with their encoded urls. I have tried UrlEncode and HTMLEncode, but UrlEncode doesn't cater for the ? and HTMLEncode doesn't cater for ' E.G. If I was to use the following: Dim name As String = "Dave's gone, why?" Dim url As String = String.Format("~/books/{0}/{1}/default.aspx", bookID, name) Response.Redirect(url) I've tried wrapping url like this: Dim encodedUrl As String = Server.UrlEncode(url) And Dim encodedUrl As String = Server.HTMLEncode(url) Thanks in advance.     I am trying to pass login credentials to a PHP script that I have in my iPhone app. When I pull a password with special characters the password is missing certain characters especially the percent sign. I am trying to encode the text but even before I send it, the percent sign is missing. //password_field is a UITextField holding the password: !@#$%^&*() NSString *tmpPass = [password_field.text stringByAddingPercentEscapesUsingEncoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding]; NSLog(p_field.text); NSLog(tmpPass); This is what appears in the console: !@#$^&*() [email protected]&*() Is there any reason why it would be dropping the percent sign?

I've been asked to add a testimonial to this page... http://www.orchardkitchens.com/Showroom/testimonials.html As you will see there are funny characters showing up all over the place, and it has thrown the structure of the page out. The cyrillic var appears correct in the url but when I retrieve it with JS I get some dummy string. I was wondering of a function similar to "unescape" for such a case.   • LIVE Video Streaming with Nginx + PHP-FPM / Process Timeout

    I have a live video streaming in my server using nginx + php. the php file reas a live streaming and it directly sends it to the client. I have only one problem. The problem is that i want each request to be in a new process of php-fpm. In a few words i don't want to have idle timeout for a process but instead i want them to close instant when a request is being closed. With idle timeout i have huge problems which are hard to explain at the moment but i'm really sure that if i disable the idle timeout everything will be perfect. Is there any way to do this? I'm using on demand php-fpm

    Hello - I am building an iFrame and am using document.location.href - my exact code is: <script type="text/javascript"> document.write("<iframe src='http://www.facebook.com/plugins/like.php?href=" + document.location.href + "&layout=standard&show_faces=false&action=like&font=verdana&colorscheme=light' frameborder=0></iframe>"); </script> This is working great for all of my pages except one. I believe the issue with the one page is caused by a dash "-" being in the page name. My questions is - is there a way to encode my src differently so that the link works? The CORRECT URL I want it to pull is: []/products/Product%252dExample.html But what it IS pulling in is: []/products/Product-Example.html And this is causing the page to not work correctly. Thanks!

  • Debian: video problems with VLC

    I have a problem playing AVI divx files with VLC. Yesterday upon start VLC showed an error message complaining about divx codecs and refused to proceed. Today the player starts but the video is squashed horizontally (it occupies roughly 1/4th of the VLC window which is for the other part black). I'm on an updated testing system, and before yesterday VLC was playing fine. In the meantime - after a recent dist-upgrade - I cannot run X with proprietary ATI drivers anymore, I have to use the FOSS radeonhd ones instead. I don't know if that's related but I thought it could be worth mentioning (and by the way if anyone has suggestions about this problem too, that'd be very much appreciated). How can I fix VLC's problem?

I saw the playcap directshow sample from the windows sdk, but I dont see how to get to raw data, frankly, I don't understand how the video actually gets to the window. Since I don't really need anything other than the video capture I would prefer not to use opencv. Visual Studio 2008 c++

    I have a http streaming link which gives me .flv streaming feed. I want to convert that and access in my iPhone program. How can i do that? I want to have a desktop software like VLC and input this streaming feed URL and convert to iPhone supported and stream again to iPhone. I tried VLC with H.264 and Mpeg-1 audio, but seems to be it doesn't give the supported format, so as iPhone program doesn't play the video.   • How to manage two video cards on a laptop (ATI and Intel)?

    I have a laptop with two video cards. One ATI and on integrated Intel. On Windows, I can choose which video card I want to use. For example, I use the Intel card for normal use and for gaming, I switch to my ATI card for better performance, but a shorter battery life. In Ubuntu 10.10, only the Intel driver is installed, the ATI driver for my card doesn't work at all and there's heat coming out of my computer all the time, like when I'm playing video games on Windows. I think both cards are active, but only the Intel one is usefull. How can I solve this by making sure Ubuntu is aware of the two video cards and by disabling my ATI. Or may be I am all wrong about this?

    I need to replace url invalid characters with something url valid then convert it back again. This is for a search page with a url like http://my.site/search/this-is-a-search, the search form POSTS then the user redirected to the new url. Php has functions urlencode and urldecode however these do not work at all, and leave invalid characters in my url. Surely I don't need to reinvent the wheel here.
