    I am developing a website where I need to send confirmation link to the user's e-mail account when he/she signs-up. When user clicks this link then a field userEnable in database changes from "false" to "true". How do I send a confirmation e-mail to a user when user clicks on the signup button. When user clicks on this confirmation link then how would the field UserEnable change from "false" to "true" I am using asp.net 4.0 with VB.NET as the language and SQL Server 2008 for my database.

    Hi there, I'm trying to add a class (.active) to a text field once the user starts typing. I got it to work somewhat with the following code, but for some reason the .active class is not applied immediately when the user starts typing, it's only applied after a second letter has been typed.   • Looking for regex to extract email addresses from /etc/passwd

    Most of my users have email addresses associated with their profile in /etc/passwd. They are always in the 5th field, which I can grab, but they appear at different places within a comma-separated list in the 5th field. Can somebody give me a regex to grab just the email address (delimeted by commas) from a line in this file? I am using partial classes and the method OnValidate(). If the field is empty, it throws an exception. Is this correct?   • How do I pass parameters between request-scoped beans

    This is a question that has been bothering me for sometime. My application uses ICEFaces for our UI framework and Spring 2.5 for Dependency Injection. In addition, Spring actually maintains all of our backing beans, not the ICEFaces framework, so our faces-config is basically empty. Navigation is not even really handled through navigation-rules. We perform manual redirects to new windows using window.open. All of our beans are defined in our appContext file as being request-scoped. I have Page ABC which is backed by BackingBeanABC. Inside that backing bean, I have a parameter say: private Order order; I then have Page XYZ backed by BackingBeanXYZ. When I redirect from page ABC to page XYZ, I want to transfer the 'order' property from ABC to XYZ. The problem is since everything is request-scoped and I'm performing a redirect, I am losing the value of 'description'. There has got to be an easier way to pass objects between beans in request scope during a redirect. Can anyone assist with this issue?

  • CI pagination, POST problem

    Okay, I am pretty new in CI and I am stuck on pagination. I am performing this pagination on a record set that is result of a query. Now everything seems to be working fine. But there’s some problem probably with the link. I am displaying 10 results per page. Now if the results are less than 10 then it’s fine. Or If I pull up the entire records in the table it works fine. But in case the result is more than 10 rows, then the first 10 is perfectly displayed, and when I click on the pagination link to get to the next page the next page displays the rest of the results from the query as well as, other records in the table. ??? I am confused.. Any help??
