Why does my page.xml file not change the layout of the homepage?? It changes the layouts of the other pages, but not the homepage. Does the homepage have its own layout xml file??
I need to check if an element is x pixels from the bottom of the page, to dynamically load new content. currently, scrollTop and height do not match even if the bar is on the bottom.
jquery is allowed, although basic javascript would be more helpful.
My site has an iFrame that displays content from and second site. I don't control the second site. When a user clicks on a link in the iFrame, I want it to redirect the entire page, not just the iFrame.
I've seen solutions for doing this from the iFrame, but I need to do it solely from the parent. I'd prefer to do it in the code behind, but a javascript solution would be acceptable.
Hi,
Actually i have iframe which has some important content in it ,but problem is that how can i have add content to my page in which that iframe resides.

I cannot supply a follow up question as of yet to Get the element under a touchend , so I am opening a new issue. I want to get the element under a touchend that is different from the touchstart, but my page has absolutely positioned elements, and the function document.elementFromPoint keeps on returning my background element instead of every element in front of it. How do I get the actual element being touched?
i'm trying to open popup window this this jscript:
window.open(myUrl, "");

All my previous projects have had this workflow on Contact pages
User submits form
Controller gets $_POST details
Controller validates details (and sets error messages if necessary)
Controller sends email
Controller redirects to thanks page
Is this the standard workflow?
I used to validate everything in controllers, and then did some more reading and they recommended against it. Therefore, should I send the $_POST details to a helper type object and let it do all the work (validation/sending)?
Is there a widely supported video playback technology for web pages that provides an event/hook that can be captured from Javascript when playback reaches the end of the stream?
My goal is to provide a web page that plays a video and then asks the user a question about the video once playback is complete. The question would be hidden or disabled until they have actually viewed the video.
I have about 10+ iframes in a page, and it's slowing down Firefox3.6.x substantially.
Is there anything I can do about this? i.e. modify the DOM somehow, or suspending certain events etc etc ?
’ showing in page in place of this '
what is the problem? how to solve
This is already defined in
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />
Hi,
I want to add a print option to the mozswing so I can print the page from it.
I've used the MozillaAutomation.renderToImage() to get the image and then print it but it does not give me what I'm looking for.
Can anyone please tell me how to do it.
Thanks,
uhs
I'm using "visibility:hidden" to hide certain elements, but they still take up space on the page while hidden.
How can I make them totally disappear visually, as though they are not in the DOM at all (but without actually removing them from the DOM)?
Hi, what is your preferred method to maintain state of an asp.net page, if it is a public website (involving shopping cart, wish-list etc). I am in the process of designing a website that will need to ensure that the user is not able to tamper with the state (such as delete cookies etc).
I have a field ,if user enters data it should go and check db if it is present it should redirect to next page.
But here i m not sure whether it is checking the db but mysql query is correct.
$ThirdPartyCategoryName =$_POST['ThirdPartyCategoryName'];
$activate = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM `thirdpartycategorymaster` WHERE `delete` = 'y' ");
if($activate=='y')
{
header("location:catact.php");
}
else
{
//$activate=='NULL';
header("location:tp_home.php");
}
I was given this chunk of code to place in my html page but I know nothing about javascript so I have no idea where to place it and what kind of tag to place it in.
Can someone please help me.
Thanks
Code:
$('input[type=radio]').change(function() {
$('input[type=radio]').each(function(index) {
$(this).closest('tr').removeClass('selected');
});
$(this).closest('tr').addClass('selected');
});
I have a WPF webbrowser control which navigates the user to a registration site. After the user registers, a collection of headers are sent back alongwith the "finished registration" page.
I have tried the Navigated event, and tried accessing WebResponse property in the event arguments but it's always null.
Is there any other way to access the headers sent?
Is there a way to use javascript to determine how long someone was looking at my webpage before they closed their browser or hit the back button? Something like send a message to php page every few seconds or so in the background?

Hi all,
I am creating a search page using asp.net[c#] with jquery.
Needs:
If we are typing a word in the text box, for each letter it has to display the related word in the database.
ex:
step 1. w [display: world
Whole]
step 2: wor[display: World]
How to achieve this using jquery
Geetha.
I'm not sure what the best way of populating a notification page is. I've been using sessions to populate it with information, but this falls short if the user is blocking cookies. I've considered passing it in HTTP GET variables, but I'm unsure whether it's a good alternative since its length is limited by some browsers.
Which method do you prefer?
