• mongrel not working - Ruby on Rails

  I have deployed my rails app to a live server(linux) and I have successfully installed the the mongrel gems, and I can successfully start the server for my app but when i try to acceess the website on the server i get the error The server at 196.xx.xxx.xx is taking too long to respond. Is there anything i need to do to be able to access my app on the browser? • Dynamic added elements double effect after page transition

  I have added dynamic from jQuery in my code, but when I go back one page and return to the page where the 's are added and you press them, they somehow click twice now. I have tried with an alert('something'); when I click: $(document).on('click', '#products a', function() { alert('something'); } And it's shown twice when you return to the page. I have tried $('#products a').remove(); When you click the 'Back' button, because I thought all elements where added twice, but that made no difference. I don't have anything around these lines, maybe I need $(document).ready(); or something with pageinit?

• Prevent double submission of forms in jQuery

  I have an form that takes a little while for the server to process. I need to ensure that the user waits and does not attempt to resubmit the form by clicking the button again. I tried using the following jQuery code: <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function(){ $("form#my_form").submit(function(){ $('input').attr('disabled','disabled'); $('a').attr('disabled','disabled'); return true; }) }); </script> When I try this in Firefox everything gets disabled but the form is not submitted with any of the POST data it is supposed to include. I can't use jQuery to submit the form because I need the button to be submitted with the form as there are multiple submit buttons and I determine which was used by which one's value is included in the POST. I need the form to be submitted as it usually is and I need to disable everything right after that happens. Thanks!

• File not found error on User control on production

  I made 2 usercontrols for sharepoint 2007 site. Everything is working fine on test server. I deployed it on production but only 1 got deployed and placed properly. The second user control is added n deployed to web part galleries but gives File not found error when i add it on web part page. I deployed it using WSP. yet it gives this error. I checked logs it did not show anything. I have no idea what to do. please help.   We are using Maven for a large build process ( 100 modules). We have been storing our external dependencies in source control, and using that to update a local repo. However, we are ready to graduate to a local repo that can cache central so that we don't have to proactively download all 3rd parties (but we can still have a local repo to pull from). In addition we want to publish our internal build artifacts from a nightly build so that developers don't have to build the world. We are considering Nexus and Artifactory. What are the reasons for preferring one over the other? Are there others we should be considering?

Can anyone help? Thanks! EDIT: sorry about the my-computer domain. this stackoverflow submission won't let me input localhost, so I put in an arbitrary domain instead. I've tried firebug, but had no luck in getting the json back.

  My coding isnt linking properly , its meant to use jquery to detect the OS and change the link accordingly , however it isn't. • SVN: change a past revision and have the change in current

  ok say I am on revision 4. I check it out, make some change and commit it. I am not on revision 5. I check it out again, am making some changes, but I am informed that there was a typo from revision 5 that needs to be changed right away. I don't want to fix it in my current working copy because I am in the middle of something and it wont be ready to commit yet. But I don't want to revert back to revision 5 and loose all my work. what I want to do is go back to revision 5, make the small change, commit it. And ALSO have that change made to my current working copy as well. I hope that makes sense. Is there a way to do that?

• iOS - Losing in-app subscription?

  I've just built an iOS app that uses a non-reoccuring subscription model. You hit "buy" and then when the client device receives the receipt from the Apple server it whizzes it off to my server to validate it and add the subscription to my user database. If the connection fails before my server has responded then the request is cached, ready to be resent the next time the client comes online. My problem is, what happens if the connection fails between when the user hits the buy button and the receipt is received by the client from Apple? Theres no way for it to know that the purchase has been made? Presumably I should add a "restore purchases" button that sends all of the users receipts to my server which checks if they've already been validated and their respective subscriptions added to the database? Is there a less intrusive way of doing this?

• How to submit an app that uses an iOS6 feature?

  I'm ready to submit my app to apple, however it says on the iOS Dev portal that xCode 4.5 cannot be used to submit apps yet, use the public release. xCode 4.4 wont compile my project because I am using -(NSUInteger)supportedInterfaceOrientations { return UIInterfaceOrientationMaskPortrait; } which is the new way to support orientation changes. It seems strange with iOS6 round the corner that I cannot submit this. Must I remove this and submit, then resubmit to support iOS6 when they allow it, or has anyone successfully submitted from xCode 4.5 beta 4? Thanks

  Is there any program IDE or not that can format MySQL code inside PHP string e.g. I use PHPStorm IDE and it cannot do it. It does that for PHP and MYSQL but not for MYSQL inside php string. I am ready to use new IDE because now i have to manually format hundreds of database requests that are one line and not readable.
