  • SimpleModal plugin is causing jQuery conflict with Spring DWR

    Hi, I'm using SimpleModal plugin (http://www.ericmmartin.com/projects/simplemodal/) for generating a simple modal dialog. Now the application I'm using this in had some previous code that uses Spring MVC - DWR Ajax framework. I believe it uses jQuery internally. Now when I include the jQuery file in this project and use the plugin, the plugin works fine but it is breaking the existing AJAX implementations in the project (which I assume is because I'm including the jQuery file again.) How do I resolve this conflict?

  • Is Spring.Threading.Helpers still supported?

    I am converting some old C# code, and it has a CountDownLatch using a package called Spring.Threading.Helpers. The odd thing is that I can't find this package on Google - so a) is it still supported? And, if so, where is it documented? b) What I really want to do is wait for a count to get to zero, but interrupt every so many msecs. Would it just be simpler to set up another thread, and do WaitOnes on an Event specifying an interval? TIA

    Hi, I have multiple quartz cron jobs in a load balanced environment. Currently these jobs are running on each node, which is not desirable. I want a node to run only a particular scheduler and if the node crashes, another node should run the scheduler intended for the node that crashed.     The problem: Lord of the Rings Online required .NET framework 1.1 to be installed. It will not recongize other higher versions. Downloading the standalone installer yields exceptions at the end of the installation process. The error message is "Application has generated an exception that could not be handled" What could I do about this?

  • Trouble getting PHP, Apache, and Zend talking to eachother (localhost)

    Hi guys, I've searched through several other questions, but haven't found my solution. THe main reason is that I'm not even sure if I have all these things properly installed. I have a hosting account, and have always just deployed everything into the internets, but I'm finally trying to figure out how to get my desktop set up right for learning Zend Framework. I have Apache Server 2.2, PHP, And Zend Framework installed. I'm trying to do this tutorial: http://akrabat.com/wp-content/uploads/Getting-Started-with-Zend-Framework.pdf The problem is when I click on the link: http://localhost/zf-tutorial/public I get an Error 404. If I type in http://www.localhost I get "It Works!" in the browser. I'm thinking this means I have Apache installed correctly, but am not pointing correctly to the Zend tutorial?     I have a WPF app in VS2008 that compiles twice during the build. The two CSC command lines are similar but with some differences. The first CSC command line does not have an /resource options, the second has two /resource options on the command line.   • Where is the .NET Framework Global Assembly Cache?

    Hi, I installed the VS2010 and .NET 4.0, then I compiled an assembly and ran the gacutil using the exe available on %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v7.0A\Bin\NETFX 4.0 Tools The output of the executable said the assembly was sucessfully installed on Global Assembly Cache. However, when I go to %WINDIR%\assembly folder I cannot find the assembly I installed using the .NET Framework 4.0 gacutil. I've seen some posts saying the .NET Framework 4.0 has a separated GAC, but what I haven't found was where it is located. May someone to help me to check where can I see the Global Assembly Cache of .NET Framework, as it used to work on previous version (%WINDIR%\assembly)?

  • Slow SQL Sync with Microsoft Sync Framework on Mobile Client

    Hello, we are developing an application which uses MS Sync Framework to sync data between Windows CE 6.0 with SQL CE 3.5 SP1 Clients and an SQL 2008 Database. Our major problem is a slow sync time up to 1 minute for 15 tables which are totally empty. Here's a break down of our components: Server: Sql Server 2008 15 tables with activated change tracking WCF Service with endpoint for the mobile sync (uses Sync Framework 2.0) Client (Mobile) Windows CE 6.0 NET Application using Sync Framework for Devices (CTP 1) which starts the sync As I mentioned above, the sync takes up to 1 minute without any changes and empty tables. The mobile device is in its dock. This is a deal breaker for a production environment. Does anybody have any experience in this field? Is there a way to improve things? Thanks for any responses.

    I am looking for a lightweight php framework with the following qualifications: ability to write my own sql queries ( i simply don't trust CakePHP like method where the framework does your sql for you); ability to integrate Jquery easily; built-in templating, or relatively easy to introduce Smarty (or another templating engine) into it; MVC; fast Any advice/comparison? i have looked into CodeIgniter, Symfony and CakePHP so far. Symfony is slow, and CakePHP is too inaccessible ...so far my choice would be CodeIgniter. I played with it a bit, but i would like to hear more experiences. I am looking for a framework that will "enforce" organization of my app in a logical way - MVC seems like a great choice.

  • Importing Swift classes within a Objective-C Framework

    I have a custom Framework that has a bunch of Objective-C Classes. Within the Framework, I'd like to add more classes using Swift. However, when trying to expose the Swift classes to the Objective-C code using: MyProduct-Swift.h, it comes up as "MyProduct-Swift.h file not found". I've tried this in a single view template and it works fine. Is it not possible to import Swift within a framework? I've also verified that I have set the Defines Module setting and the Module Name. I've tried it with and without these settings.

I dragged the produced framework into my XCode Project and now it says: "String: No such file or directory" on including <TagLib/TagLib.h>. I've never done this before. It seems as XCode does not include the c++ headers by default ?! (Or is string not a c++ default header?!) Note: The taglib headers are included right. <string> is the problem

  • Comparing ASP.Net Framework to Cakephp, Zend , Ruby on Rails

    I am a PHP developer migrating to C# ASP.Net Framework. As of right now, I am experienced in using Php for developing sites and I use CakePhp and Zend framework as my RAD tools to help me produce better applications. As I move over to ASP.NET, I have this view that C# ASP.Net framework itself is already a RAD tool and is equivalent to using Cakephp, Zend, or even Ruby on Rails. So I really shouldn't have no concerns trying to find a separate library for ASP.NET that will help me produce better applications. To me, in a sense the ASP.NET is already like a MVC cause it seperates the model from the view and the methods are almost like controllers. So as far as having the best tools are concerned, should I be satisfied with just using ASP.NET as my RAD tool.

    We have an ASP.Net MVC 1.0 solution developed using Visual Studio 2008 and .net Framework 3.5SP1. We would now like to upgrade Visual Studio to 2010. If we just open the solution in VS 2010 and do not change the framework version, can we just continue to develop as before? If we open the solution in VS 2010 and change the framework version to 4.0, will we automatically start using ASP.Net MVC 2.0, or will it continue to use ASP.Net MVC 1.0? Is there anything we need to take into consideration when upgrading to ASP.Net MVC 2.0? Thanks Shiraz

  • XCode project complains about missing files if a linked framework contains private headers

    My Problem is this: My framework contains public and private headers - the public headers import private headers in the framework My app that links against this framework imports public headers Now when I compile it, XCode complains about missing files (the private headers that are indirectly imported via the frameworks public headers). I read somewhere on stackoverflow that I should do this: "In the public header file use @class to include other interfaces and use #import in the implementation file (.m)." I find this solution pretty unsatisfying - you have to use it for circular dependencies, too. Is there any better way to keep my headers private?

    We do have many frameworks available in Java. Struts, Swing, JSF 2.0, Spring etc are used as per their priority. Actually, I don't know how many they are as well! But, as I am fresher to Java, even learning after their architecture, I cannot decide which framework can be used with what type of Projects ! Also, I am confused with mixed use of framework like Spring + JSF. What is the benefit to it ? Another thing making me confusing is about the UI components available in market. Like, we do have Primefaces, Ice-faces, MyFaces, Rich-faces. They may or may not have been supporting AJAX in-built. They may contains some bugs as well. What is best choice for Framework + UI component that can directly provide a best feet solution for any project ?

    I wrote my simple desktop program in C#. I am reluctant to distribute it on the internet because i am not sure if users will go through pain of installing the .Net Framework. My target users are non-tech savvy users. I am very familiar with MFC and I probably can write this program in MFC in a month. MFC is nice because I don't have to worry about distributing other components. It will be one nice single executable. So my real question is this: Is it possible to write .Net app without worrying about distributing .Net Framework?     I'm writing a C++ unit testing framework and I would like it if it could be integrated with Eclipse CDT. In other testing suites that work with Eclipse, JUnit for example, the user is provided a graphical list of all test cases and their results. Something like this would be the ideal. I'm just getting into this, so I need some advice on getting started. There are two approaches I see Use an existing Eclipse testing plugin (such as JUnit) and make the framework return output in the same format as the plugin's input. Write a plugin from scratch that can work with my framework (seems like it would take a lot of time) Thoughts appreciated
