  Hi, I want to const declare the this pointer received as an argument. static void Class::func(const OtherClass *otherClass) { // use otherClass pointer to read, but not write to it. } It is being called like this: void OtherClass::func() { Class::func(this); } This does not compile nad if i dont const declare the OtherClass pointer, I can change it.   What I want to do is provide some public static fields that will be used as instances of an interface implementation and have intellisense pick them up when the interface is a method argument. The idea is to have it look like an enum to the developer. I reference Color because basically this is the behavior I want, I just don't know how to replicate it.

  I couldn't find an answer for this exact problem, so I'll ask it. I'm working in Cygwin and want to reference previous commands using !n notation, e.g., if command 5 was which ls, then !5 runs the same command. The problem is when trying to do substitution, so running: !5:s/which \([a-z]\)/\1/ should just run ls, or whatever the argument was for which for command number 5. I've tried several ways of doing this kind of substitution and get the same error: bash: :s/which \([a-z]*\)/\1/: substitution failed

  Hi I am am running some selenium tests(ruby) on my web page and as i enter an invalid characters in to a text box i have the JavaScript throw a alert like so if(isNaN($(this).val()) || Number($(this).val().valueOf() <=0)){ alert("Please Enter A Number"); } how can i handle this alert when its made and close the pop up? i tried to use the wait_for_pop_up() and close() but i think that's only for browser pop up's and not JavaScript alerts. any ideas? thanks

  Hi, I have a CCK datetime field and would like to set its default value to 31 May 2011. When I go to the configuration of the field I can set the default value to Now, Blank or Relative. Relative is to be set by a PHP's strtotime argument. However, it fails when I set it to 31 May 2011 last day of May 2011 (that should normally work according to http://php.net/manual/en/function.strtotime.php) Do You have any idea how to set it to default to 31 May 2011?

  I am writing a functor F which takes function of type void (*func)(T) and func's argument arg. Then functor F calls func with arg. I would like F not to copy arg, just to pass it as reference. But then I cannot simply write "void F(void (*func)(T), T&)" because T could be a reference.   Hi all, I'm using rmagick to manipulate image files. I use the ImageList.new on each file to get started. When I apply this method to an invalid image file I get the below error which interrupts the execution of the script: RMagick.rb:1635:in `read': Improper image header (Magick::ImageMagickError) Therefore I would like to be able to check whether a file is a valid image file before using this method. Any ideas? Thanks.
