  • Dell PERC 5 - RAID-10 keeps rebuilding drive 2 every day

    I have a Dell PowerEdge 2950 with this card: RAID bus controller [0104]: Dell PowerEdge Expandable RAID controller 5 [1028:0015] and six disks in a RAID-10.     A few .rpmnew files are being created after performing an upgrade of the Fedora OS. The normal procedure for merging .rpmnew files into the original ones is to compare the differences, make the necessary changes to the configuration on the .rpmnew files, and replace the original files with the new ones. However, the files contained in /etc/pam.d are links to files with same the filename appended with -ac, example: password-auth links to password-auth-ac and has password-auth.rpmnew as upgrade. How do I go about merging these files?

  • OpenGL ES clarifying question regarding FBOs -- sorry can't find this info anywhere else?

    If I instantiate an FBO without binding a rendering buffer or a texture to it, what happens when I draw to it, nothing? Do I need to associate a rendering target (renderbuffer or texture) to have an FBO do anything? What I'm trying to do is precache some buffers and then merge them later, but that doesn't seem to work at all.     hi I was wondering if it was possible to put balanced chemical equations, and if possible including state symbols, in the existing netlogo model that i am using, i havenot seen any examples in the models library so was not sure if it was possible. I wanted the model to be able to allow the user to input a balanced chemical equilibrium equation, or the model displays the the equation so then the user can select from them if they do not want to enter their own any help will be greatly appreciated thanks for example ethane + oxygen -- carbon dioxide + steam C2H6 + O2 -- CO2 + H2O

    I have randomly created strings such as H*P2[-%-3:5RW0j*;k52vedsSQ5{)ROkb]P/*DZTr*-UX4sp What I want to do is get a count of all Caps, lower case, numeric and special characters in each string as they are generated. I am looking for an output similar to Caps = 5 Lower = 3 numneric = 6 Special = 4 Fictitious values of course. I have gone through the php string pages using count_char, substr_count etc but cant find what I am looking for. Thank you

  • Fix for php 5.3.9 libxsl security "bug" fix

    just this morning i updated my debian server to php 5.3.9 , change log (last item in list) has a fix for this bug and now when running any hosted site using XSL transforms i get: Warning: XSLTProcessor::transformToXml(): Can't set libxslt security properties, not doing transformation for security reasons I'm not using any <sax:output> tags in my xslt at all. Does anybody have any information on this, current chatter about it is thin, so i'm i little lost. Using the suggestion about switching ini settings on and off either side of -transformToXml(): ini_set("xsl.security_prefs", XSL_SECPREFS_NONE) or $xsl->setSecurityPreferences(XSL_SECPREFS_NONE) brings me back to the same error Many thanks. Progress: - Upgrading libxml and recompiling libxslt against the new version was a good suggestion, though has not fixed the issue. - Compiling the latest php5.3 snapshot does not fix the issue. Solution: I'm unsure what actually solved this, very sorry for anyone else having the same problem. firstly i upgraded libxml, then applied a few patches, then went into php source for the xsl parser and added some debugging and a few tweaks, after a few compiles getting the configure args right the error went away and wasn't reproducible. I would definitely recommend upgrading libxml as Petr suggested below and then grabbing the latest snapshot from php.net.

But can I do this on my websites and can I include different versions of my CSS file just by changing the numbers?

    I scraped a bunch of pages using wget -m -k -E. The resulting files have names in the form foo.php?bar.html. Apache guesses everything after the ? is a query string, is there a way to tell it to ignore the ? as the query string delimiter (and see foo.php?bar.html as the requested file and not foo.php)? To save you a trip to wget manpage: -m : mirror recursively -E : foo.php?bar becomes foo.php?bar.html -k : convert links in pages (foo.php?bar now links to foo.php?bar.html inside of all the pages so they display properly)

    I'd like to go through a binary file my teacher gave me line by line to check addresses on the stack and the contents of different registers, but I'm not extremely familiar with using gdb. Although I have the C code, we're supposed to work entirely from a binary file. Here are the commands I've used so far: (gdb) file SomeCode Which gives me this message: Reading symbols from ../overflow/SomeCode ...(no debugging symbols found)...done. Then I use : (gdb) disas main which gives me all of the assembly. I wanted to set up a break point and use the "next" command, but none of the commands I tried work. Does anyone know the syntax I would use?

    I am pricing some new servers and I am not sure which configuration to get. The server will be running some web applications for our company. Some of them are ASP.Net sites and some are ColdFusion. The OS will be Win Server 2008 Web or Standard Edition. Do I need 2 processors or will a single quad core handle it? Xeon multi core Hyperthreading or non Hyperthreading? I am going 64bit so I can go higher than 4 Gigs of Ram. I am shopping at Dell and there are so many options, i do not want to get too much hardware and not use half of it because that would be a waste of money and I do not want to get too little and have to ask for more money to upgrade it later.
