Also define a constructor that takes an integer parameter and initialises the deck field with an array of that size. The constructor should also initialise every element with a new random MovieCard.   • Should static parameters in an API be part of each method?

    I am currently creating a library that is a wrapper for an online API. The obvious end goal is to make it as easy for others to use as possible. As such I am trying to determine the best approach when it comes to common parameters for the API. In my current situation there are 3 (consumer key, consumer secret, and and authorization token). They are essentially needed in every API call. My question is should I make these 3 parameters required for each method or is there a better way. I see my current options as being: Place the parameters in each method call public ApiObject callMethod(String consumerKey, String consumerSecret, String token, ...) This one seems reasonable, but seems awfully repetitive to me. Create a singleton class that the user must initialize before calling any api methods. This seems wrong, and would essentially limit them to accessing one account at a time via the API (which may be reasonable, I dunno). Make them place them in a properties file in their project. That way I can load the properties that way and store them. This seems similar to the singleton to me, but they would not have to explicitly call something to initialize these values. Is there another option I am not seeing, or a more common practice in this situation that I should be following?

    I have a small demo and I want to create a class that draws messages in screen like fps rate. I am reading a XNA book and they comment about GameComponents. I have created a class that inherits DrawableGameComponent public class ScreenMessagesComponent : Microsoft.Xna.Framework.DrawableGameComponent I override some methods like Initialize or LoadContent. But when I want to override draw I have a problem, I would like to pass some parameters to it.     I have the following type of urls which are both valid: hello/ hello/1234/ My urls.py has the following: urlpatterns = patterns('hello.views', url(r'^$', 'index', name='index'), url(r'^(?P<user_id>\d+)/$', 'index', name='index'), ) In my views.py, when I pass user_id to the template, it defaults to 0 if not specified. My template looks like the following, I'm using namespace hello for my hello app: {% url hello:index user_id %} If user_id is not specified, the url defaults to hello/0/. The only way I can think of preventing the default 0 from showing in the url is by an if stmt: {% if user_id %} {% url hello:index user_id %} {% else %} {% url hello:index %} {% endif %} The above will give me hello/ if there are no user_id and hello/1234/ if it's present. Is the above solution the best way to solve this issue?

  • How to remove an entry from Chrome's Remembered URLs from the url bar?

    I've got a url in Chrome "local.mysite.com" that autopopulates when I start typing "local.my" into the URL bar. Note that this URL DOES NOT EXIST in my browser history (at chrome://history/#e=1&p=0) because it isn't a real site and therefor couldn't ever be successfully visited and therefor never shows up in my history. The URL I want is "local.mysite.com/subdir/". That URL is like 3 down in the suggested results because I keep accidentally hitting "enter" when it auto-suggests the unwanted first URL and thus re-enforcing it's assumption that that is the one I want. How do I get rid of the "local.mysite.com" entry in Chrome's memory?

    I am using Jquery Cycle Plugin and it has a side panel that highlights as the photos change and currently when I click on the text the associated photo pulls up then I have to click on the photo to go to the URL but I would like the text itself to link to the URL. Why is NSUrl returning null for such string, even though these are valid urls in a browser?     I configured a hudson instance and have created jobs. While creating builds, I was able to see this option "Trigger the build by accessing this URL + SecretTOKEN" option. Now, I am unable to see that for any new jobs I create. Am I missing some setting or a configuration? The only change I made was running the servlet container from Root to a regular user.
