  I'm simply trying to set a value for an input but it doesn't work. Here is my jquery function : function display_form() { try { $('#start_date').val('2012/08/21'); }catch (e){ alert('error'); } window.alert( $('[name=start_date]').val() ); } This shows "undefined". Here is my form : <input id="start_date" name="start_date" type="text" size="6" /> Should I put somewhere the id of the form that I want to use? I just followed what is said in the documentation of jquery but it doesn't seem to work. Could anyone help me ?

• Get next key-value pair in an object

  So, given a key, I want to find the next property in an object. Then, I want to return the value of the NEXT property. I can not rely on the keys to be ordered or sequential (they're uuids). Please see below for trivial example of what I want: var db ={ a: 1, b: 2, c: 3 } var next = function(db, key) { // ??? } next(db, 'a'); // I want 2 next(db, 'b'); // I want 3 I also want a prev() function, but I'm sure it will be the same solution. This seems like such a trivial problem but I can't for the life of me figure out how to do it. Happy for the solution to use underscore.js or be written in coffeescript :)

  I have HTML page which contains line: <iframe id="xyz" width="900" height="250" scrolling="no"..></iframe> From my firefox extension i'm trying to get the iframe height. so i'm registering the browser to a event as follow in my extension: appcontent.addEventListener("DOMContentLoaded",myfunction); where appcontent is browser object, myfunction(event): function { var framelist =window.content.document.getElementsByTagName("iframe"); for(var i=0;i<framelist.length;i++) { if(framelist[i].id == "xyz") var frameheight=framelist[i].height; } } when i tried to load this page intially frameheight gives 250 as per in html page but then it gives 0 as height.   I have a class template which builds a simple array based on the template parameters as one of its members. I need to be able to initialize every element in the array to a single value in one of the constructors. Unfortunately this constructor must be constexpr. The relevant part boils down to: template <typename T, size_t N> class foo { T data[N]; constexpr foo(T val) { // initialize data with N copies of val } }; Using std::fill or a loop is incompatible with the constexpr requirement. Initializing with : data{val} only sets the first element of the array and zero-initializes the remainder. How can this be achieved? I feel like there should be a solution with variadic templates and tuples etc...

  Hello, I need to change the color of certain attributes/tags. I am switching from Dreamweaver and making the skin has been really hard in TextMate. As you can see, I want to change the a and img tags along with all of their attributes. The closest I've come to find is entity.other.attribute-name which only works with id for some reason entity.other.attribute-name.id Bonus would be the scope selector for the value of an attribute, e.g. "Logo" alt in the above example.   I don't understand this with Scala hasmaps: How do I create a value or update one if it does not exist? I am tryng to count the number of characters in a list of Strings.   I would like to use the syntax that printf uses, using the %d, %s and adding values after to assign a value to a char[]. So I am using if statements and I am wondering if there is a way I can do this without a bunch of if statements? I don't think switch statements would work for this. I have studied the rfc to know the setup the required response headers and this works well on my emulator. Am I right? I am confused why the increasedObject2 prints 5 and not 6. Can anyone please explain?

For a user control with lots of database activity, I would like to use jQuery to set the selected values of all of the dropdowns to their "current" value. I want to do this to make the page appear to have finished the database call. My jQuery skill is not the best, but I believe I need to use the pageLoad().   I have a calender list in a webpart page, this webpart page has a version number in it's title e.g. "WebPart 1.62". What I need to do is when a New item is created in the calender list on a webpart page, the New Item form has a dropdown menu 'SystemID' which gets it's values from the title column of a 'Systems' list, which is pre-populated with all versions of webpart forms. This dropdown menu 'SystemID' should select the version of the webpart page it is in as the default value. I need a JQuery solution for this, or even Javascript. I am finding it difficult as I am new to both JQuery and Sharepoint. I am using SP2007. I'll appreciate any guidance in solving this. At the moment the Create New Item form of the Calender list has the 'SystemID' drop down list pre-populated with the versions from the Systems list. If anyhthing is unclear pls let me know and I'll explain in more detail.

  I have the following code that is being used to successfully upload images: $fileName = $_FILES['file']['name']; $fileSize = $_FILES['file']['size']; $fileType = $_FILES['file']['type']; $fileTmp = $_FILES['file']['tmp_name']; list($origWidth, $origHeight) = getimagesize($fileTmp); The catch is I'm getting an 'Undefined index' on each line. I have print_r($_FILES) just before this code and each array variable exists and I've echo out varibles like $fileName and can see each has a value. Also I have put this before this code block and it makes no difference: $fileName = $fileSize = $fileType = $fileTmp = ''; Any suggestions how I can ensure these variables are defined? thankyou
