• Fixed positioned div with a fixed height and relative or absolute divs inside it with greater height

  Hello I have a problem with IE. I have a fixed div like this: #fixed { position: fixed; top: 0px; left: 0px; z-index: 9998; width: 100%; height: 40px; } Inside this div I want to place another div that has a height that is higher than its holder (higher than 40px). So I put a relative or an absolute div inside it and it works splendid in all browsers except IE, at least IE8. But in IE8 the child div gets cut because of the height of 40px specified for it's holder. Is there any workaround to this problem? I'm starting to get gray hairs..

  Can you have a parent class shared pointer return type of a function and then return a new child class without it being a shared pointer? I'm not sure how shared pointers work in these situations, do they act like a regular pointer? Here is my example: BaseEventPtr Actions::getEvent(const std::string& nodeName) { if(asLowerCaseString(nodeName) == "action") return new ActionEvent(&m_interface); return nullptr; } ActionEvent is the subclass of BaseEvent in this situation. But the private constructor is not letting be define the child class. I was thinking to change the default constructor to protected constructor for the singleton base class. • How can I access this nested array within my JSON object?

  I'm using PHP to return a json_encode()'d array for use in my Javascript code. It's being returned as: {"parent1[]":["child1","child2","child2"],"parent2[]":["child1"]} By using the following code, I am able to access parent2 > child1 $.getJSON('myfile.php', function(data) { for (var key in data) { alert(data[key]); } } However, this doesn't give me access to child1, child2, child, of parent1. Alerting the key by itself shows 'parent1' but when I try to alert it's contents, I get undefined. I figured it would give me an object/array? How do I access the children of parent1? data[key][0] ?

  I have a multi module maven project, which builds successfully, I'd like to build just one of the modules I have. How would I do that with profiles ? I could do it from console in two ways, one way is go to the child module and mvn package or I could use reactor to build just one module. Can I do the same thing with profiles? By modifying POM? • How can i handle mouse double click event on textbox?

  Hello, I want to open one child window on mouse double click of textbox. I know the only event available in Silverlight is MouseLeftButtonDown and you have to simulate double click. However it still doesn't work when i click in the middle of the textbox. It only works when i double click on the border of the textbox. Anybody has any ideas of how can i do this? If any 3rd party library is available then also it's fine. Thanks in advance:)

Index of the array is the category_id like:: [8846] => Array ( [category_id] => 8846 [title] => Tsting two [description] => Tsting two [subtype] => categories [type] => object [level] => 2 [parent_category] => 8841 [tags] => new [name] => Tsting two ) each value has its parent_category value, I have around 500 elements in the array, what is the best way to make it. Process i followed: krsort categories array, so that all the child categories are at the beginning, then function makeHierarchical() { foreach($this->categories as $guid => $category) { if($category['level'] != 1) $this->multilevel_categories[$category['parent_category']][$guid] = $category; } } but this is not working, it does it only for first level. Can someone point out me the error.

I'd like to limit these widgets fairly strictly, so each would exist as an iframe kept on its own unique hostname: the widget with ID #47 would be accessible at w47.widgets.example.com, for example. It would be helpful, for permission-granting dialogs and the like, to allow the widget to call very specific methods explicitly granted by the parent window, without authorizing the iframe to do whatever it likes with the parent frame on the user's behalf. Is it possible for a parent document to explicitly allow certain method calls to a child document on a different host?

  Hi there! I'm trying to determine a subset of nodes stored in the variable objs by using a user defined function cube:is_active: <xsl:variable name="active_cubes" select="$objs[cube:is_active(XXX) = 'TRUE']"/ Since the function does not allow a local context I'm required to pass it as a parameter (denoted by XXX). However, the usual suspects "." or "current()" do not work since they refer to context node of the surrounding block and NOT to the current element of objs which is evaluated. The only solution so far which DOES work is: XXX=SOME_CHILD_TAG/.. But this is really ugly since it depends on the existence of the child tag for the parent node to work correctly. Is there any other way? Thanks!

  I am using two content types - test_parent & test_child In test_child there are two fields, both of type datetime And in test_parent there are two fields, week_no & 7 node references I am using node_save to save a new node. After saving a node of parent type, and then saving the node of child type, i want to update the node it into the parent type. I have completed creation of both nodes from code, and also i am able to update nid in parent type from code. The problem is, the change in db is getting reflected in db but not on drupal node view. Even if i edit the node from drupal, it's showing -none- selected in node reference. Please help.

  I'm developing a few custom ant tasks that all need to initialize the same objects. I wanted to initialize those object's in a common superclass that extends from Task, in the init() method. But I see from the lifecycle of an ant task that init() gets called before the tasks child elements and attributes are set. So all of the data I need for initializing those objects is unavailable during init(), if I am reading right. So, why is init() called at this point? What do you even know that you could use in init()? What could it be used for? (And is there some other method that I can rely on to be called before execute(), but after my data is available?)

  I'm trying to implement my own version of the 'cd' command that presents the user with a list of hard-coded directories to choose from, and the user has to enter a number corresponding to an entry in the list. The program, named my_cd.py for now, should then effectively 'cd' the user to the chosen directory. Example of how this should work: /some/directory $ my_cd.py 1) ~ 2) /bin/ 3) /usr Enter menu selection, or q to quit: 2 /bin $ Currently, I'm trying to 'cd' using os.chdir('dir'). However, this doesn't work, probably because my_cd.py is kicked off in its own child process. I tried wrapping the call to my_cd.py in a sourced bash script named my_cd.sh: #! /bin/bash function my_cd() { /path/to/my_cd.py } /some/directory $ . my_cd.sh $ my_cd ... shows list of dirs, but doesn't 'cd' in the interactive shell Any ideas on how I can get this to work? • Can I set a style for the content of an iframe from the main page?

  We have a page the embeds a Google Calendar in an iframe. Recently, a warning box div began appearing on the calendar that looks like this: <div id="warningBox" style="color:#aa0000;">Events from one or more calendars could not be shown here because you do not have the permission to view them.</div> Obviously the best solution here is to find the private events and remove them, but so far the search for those events has proved fruitless. This calendar is an aggregate of several calendars, including a few we don't control (ie weather). We're still looking, but in the meantime, I would like to try to hide that div. I know that iframes enforce the separation between the pages, such that the child page is pretty much a law unto itself. But surely there must be some way to set a style on an element inside the frame?

• Can I attach a .NET TraceListener to an externally running process?

  I am developing an application scheduling program that will run other applications using System.Diagnostics.Process. The external applications are of various types (some .NET and some not). For those external apps that have trace logging enabled, is there a way that I can attach the tracelistener of the parent/calling application to listen to and record all the trace output from the child/called application to the parent application's trace output? This is not primarily for debugging purposes. This is more to track trace output from all the various scheduled applications by collecting it into one place as much as possible. The scheduler app is still in the early design stages, but will be .NET, and I'm trying to clear up potential design issues before I get into it too far.

From each one of those derived Classes, there are further more two classes are derived each called ChildClassAA and ChildClassAB[AB stands for Bth Child class from the Ath Class.Lets not really pull our hair on this nomenclature].   Hi, I am having a problem in my program that uses pipes. What I am doing is using pipes along with fork/exec to send data to another process What I have is something like this: //pipes are created up here if(fork() == 0) //child process { ... execlp(...); } else { ... fprintf(stderr, "Writing to pipe now\n"); write(pipe, buffer, BUFFER_SIZE); fprintf(stderr, "Wrote to pipe!"); ... } This works fine for most messages, but when the message is very large, the write into the pipe deadlocks. I think the pipe might be full, but I do not know how to clear it. I tried using fsync but that didn't work. Can anyone help me?
