    Hi folks, in my C#-Application, I have a Dictionary object. When iterating over the object using foreach, I naturally get each element of the dictionary. But I want only certain elements to be iterated, depending on the value of a property of MyValue. class MyValue { public bool AmIIncludedInTheIteration { get; set; } ... } Whenever AmIIncludedInTheIteration is false, the item shall not be returned by foreach. I understand that I need to implement my own iterator and override the Dictionary-Iterator somewhere. Can anyone here give me a short HowTo? Thanks in advance, Frank

  • Help with Custom Workflow that checks db

    I need to write a workflow that monitors the status of a sql server column/field and does work to some other tables once the column has changed to "Close". (It could wait for days or hours) My application is written in c# .net 3.5. I've done some really simple "hello world" type of apps with windows workflow foundation 3.5 but have not yet grasped how to do go about implementing something like this.   • Custom HorizontalFieldManager menu not showing

    I have created a class that extends HorizontalFieldManager so that I can display a label and an image on the same line with the label to the left and the image to the right. I want the user to be able to interact with the hfm as if it were a single field. I have everything working (focus, click action, etc) except the menu. When I press the menu button makeMenu and makeContextMenu are not called. How do I make it so that the correct menu shows when the menu button is clicked and focus is on the hfm? Am I going about this the wrong way?

    Hi all, This is one of my first try with Map Reduce on AWS in its Management Console. Hi have uploaded on AWS S3 my runnable jar developed on Hadoop 0.18, and it works on my local machine. As described on documentation, I have passed the S3 paths for input and output as argument of the jar: all right, but the problem is the third argument that is another path (as string) to a file that I need to load while the job is in execution. That file resides on S3 bucket too, but it seems that my jar doesn't recognize the path and I got a FileNotFound Exception while it tries to load it. That is strange because this is a path exactly like the other two... Anyone have any idea? Thank you Luca

    Hello, I am using a customised version of search-theme-from.tpl When I use the search box, I do get transferred to the search page. But the search does not actually take place. The search box on the search results page does work though.     I write my handler for server errors and define it at root urls.py: handler500 = 'myhandler' And I want to write unittest for testing how it works. For testing I write view with error and define it in test URLs configuration, when I make request to this view in browser I see my handler and receive status code 500, but when I launch test that make request to this view I see stack trace and my test failed. Have you some ideas for testing handler500 by unittests?

    I am consuming an external C# Web Service method which returns a simple calculation result object like this: [Serializable] public class CalculationResult { public string Name { get; set; } public string Unit { get; set; } public decimal? Value { get; set; } } When I add a Web Reference to this service in my ASP .NET project Visual Studio is kind enough to generate a matching class so I can easily consume and work with it. I am using Castle Windsor and I may want to plug in other method of getting a calculation result object, so I want a common class CalculationResult (or ICalculationResult) in my solution which all my objects can work with, this will always match the object returned from the external Web Service 1:1. Is there anyway I can tell my Web Service client to hydrate a particular class instead of its generated one?     If got a CustomCell loaded using: NSArray *nibObjects = [[NSBundle mainBundle] loadNibNamed:@"CustomCell" owner:nil options:nil]; I have no problems with the tableview but when I select a row I want display more information on that row(like facebook app)... using the typical "show more". At the beginning the row show "title" and "description". When I select that row i want to show "title", "description" and a webview... and, of course, make the row bigger to accommodate that objects. Maybe changing this CustomCell by another bigger CustomCell? I have no idea where to start. Thanks. Sorry for my english :S

    I have created custome Membership Role and Profile provider using INGRES db. Now I can see my IngresMembership and IngresRole provider in the Provider tab(Select a different provider for each feature (advanced) ) of WSAT but when I clik on security tab I get this error: "There is a problem with your selected data store. This can be caused by an invalid server name or credentials, or by insufficient permission. It can also be caused by the role manager feature not being enabled. Click the button below to be redirected to a page where you can choose a new data store. The following message may help in diagnosing the problem: Object reference not set to an instance of an object." What am I missing? Do I need to add code for all override methods for Role provider? I have just written code for the Initialize and GetRolesForUser functions. Thanks

    In a xhtml, i want to highlight the text between two self closing tags s1 and s2 whose attribute value is the same. Eg. <s1 ind="1"/> and <s2 ind="1" /> Eg. <html> <body> <a> <b>Some <s1 ind="1"/> text</b> <c>data <s2 ind="1"/>here</c> </a> </body> </html> I want "text data" to get highlighted. Is is possible to achieve using javascript/jquery? I could have many such self closing tag pairs s1 and s2 with a unique value for "ind" for the pair indicating that the text within them needs to be highlighted.

    I am trying to create functionality similar to drag and drop. I need to create my own as there will be some significant differences to the drag and drop in the jquery UI. I would like to have mousemove being called repeatedly at all times, and mousedown called every time the mouse is pressed. So I have the following code: $(document).bind('mousemove',function(e){ $("#coords").text("e.pageX: " + e.pageX + ", e.pageY: " + e.pageY); }); $(document).bind('mousedown',function(e){ }); ('coords' is the id of a div) As I move the mouse, coordinates are reported correctly in 'coords'. If I depress a mouse button and then move the mouse, coordinates are still reported correctly. But if I depress a mouse button on an image and then move the mouse, coordinates are reported correctly for a few sets, and then they seize up! Why is this happening and how can I fix it? Is it possible to make them indexed from 2 to N (say) instead?

    I'm trying to make a simple flash application providing interface for taking tests as a high school assignment. One of the requirements is to use an XML file as data source.Now, having a List component bound to the XML file with questions consisting of data such as question body, question type (ie. single choice, multiple choice, open, image etc.) and possible answers (where applicable), I was wondering if I could add some additional data (and what is the best possible way to do so) to each question upon its transfer to the List component. I am trying to achieve two main goals with this: firstly, to mark the questions to which an answer has already been given, like with such code in ItemRenderer class: <s:Label color="{data.color}" text="{data.label}"/> where data.color would be set whenever the user gives an answer to a question. Secondly, while at it, I thought of such possibility as a great way to store answers given to particular questions. In this case, the Class of the answer object would have been Object, since there has to be many type of questions (where the answer could also be a Bitmap for example). This is a question of both how to do it and if it seems a good idea at all (and if no, if there is a better way?), because I am quite new to the whole Flash Builder and Flex thing and I am not really accustomed to all the possibilities and best practices.   • Need help with a custom Spinner/ArrayAdapter setup

    I have a WeatherSpinner class which extends Spinner. The class shows region names which I originally did using an ArrayAdapter<String> but I now want to use ArrayAdapter<Locale>(Locale is an abstract 'empty' class of my own). I'm getting a ClassCastException when trying to populate my ArrayAdapter with the following... protected ArrayList<?> theList; protected ArrayAdapter<Locale> aa = null; ... protected void updateContents(ArrayList<?> list, int selectedItem) { theList = list; // Exception thrown on next line aa = new ArrayAdapter<Locale>(theContext, android.R.layout.simple_spinner_item, (Locale[]) theList.toArray()); ... } I'm passing a RegionList object into updateContents() as the 'list' parameter and RegionList extends ArrayList<Region>, and Region extends Locale. I've also overriden Region's toString() method to return a valid String. What am I not seeing here? Am I wrong about the way ArrayList<?>.toArray() works?

    I have a managed object with a dueDate attribute. Exception was caught during Core Data change processing: no section named 'Done' found with userInfo (null) 2010-03-18 23:29:52.477 MyApp[1637:207] *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInternalInconsistencyException', reason: 'no section named 'Done' found' I've managed to figure out that the UITableView that is currently hidden by the new details view is trying to update its rows and sections because the NSFetchedResultsController was notified that something changed in the data set. The exception is thrown before either controller:didChangeObject:atIndexPath:forChangeType:newIndex or controller:didChangeSection:atIndex:forChangeType are called. At this point I'm stuck. If I change my sectionNameKeyPath to just "dueDate" then everything works fine. I think that's because the dueDate attribute never changes whereas the category will be different when read back after the finishedDate attribute changes. Please help!   • .Net Custom Components "disappear" after file save

    I might have a hard time explaining this because I am at a total loss for what is happening so I am just looking for some guidance. I might be a bit wordy because I don't know exactly what is the relevant information. I am developing a GUI for a project that I am working on in using .Net (C#) Part of the interface mimics, exactly, what we do in another product. For consistency reasons, my boss wants me to make it look the same way. So I got the other software and basically copied and pasted the components into my new GUI. This required me to introduce a component library (the now defunct Graphics Server GSNet, so I can't go to them for help) so I could implement some simple graphs and temperature/pressure "widgets." The components show up fine, and when I compile, everything seems to work fine. However, at some point during my programming it just breaks. Sometimes the tab that these components are on starts throwing exceptions when I view the designer page (A missing method exception) so it won't display. Sometimes JUST those components from the GSNet library don't show up. Sometimes, if I try to run it, I get a not-instantiated exception on one of their lines of code in the designer code file. Sometimes I can't view the designer at all. No matter what I do I can't reverse it. Even if I undo what I just did it won't fix it. If it happens, I have to revert to a backup and start over again. So I started to backup pretty much every step. I compile it and it works. I comment out a line of code, save it, and then uncomment that same line of code (so I am working with the same exact code) and the components all disappear. It doesn't matter what line of code I actually comment out, as long as it is in the same project that these components are being used. I pretty much have to use the components. . . so does anyone have any suggestion or where I can look to debug this?
