  I am in a bit of a rut with a cURL issue. The post works greate, the data is POSTED just fine and received ok, but the url of the posted page never appears in the browser after the cURL session is executed, for example look at the following code: $ch = curl_init("http://localhost/eterniti/cart-step-1.php"); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HEADER, false); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POST, true); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, "error=1&em=$em&fname=$fname&lname=$lname&email1=$email1&email2=$email2&code=$code&area=$area&number=$num&mobile=$mobile&address1=$address1&address2=$address2&address3=$address3&suburb=$suburb&postcode=$postcode&country=$country"); curl_exec($ch); curl_close($ch); The post works fine and I am taken to the cart-step-1.php where I can process the posted data, HOWEVER the location in the URL address bar of the browser remains that of the script page, in this case proc_xxxxxx.php Any ideas how to get the URL address to reflect the page I am actually POSTED to? • Custom Response + HTTP status?

  Hi, I have a rest interface for my project. For one class i have a POST method where you can post an xml and i RETURN a custom response like: <userInvitation>Invalid email</userInvitation> if the email from the xml which was posted, was incorrect + other custom messages i have defined for different situations. For all of these the HTTP STATUS is automatically put on 200 (OK). Is there any way to change it? Ps: I know that i can throw a web application like : throw new WebApplicationException(Response.Status.BAD_REQUEST); but in this case my custom response is no more included. So i just want to return my custom error + 400 as http response. Thanks in advance.

  Hello, I have a form that I need to post and show the result in a div. I'm not having any problems making the ajax call but I can't seem to figure out how to load the result to a div.   I need help in trying to use curl to post data to a page and retrieve the results after the form has been submitted. I created a simple form: <form name="test" method="post" action="form.php"> <input type="text" name="name" size="40" />e <input type="text" name="comment" size="140" /> <input type="submit" name="submit" value="submit" /> </form> In addition, I have php code to handle this form in the same page. All it does is echo back the form values. The curl that I have been using is this: $h = curl_init(); curl_setopt($h, CURLOPT_URL, "path/to/form.php"); curl_setopt($h, CURLOPT_POST, true); curl_setopt($h, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, array( 'name' = 'yes', 'comment' = 'no' )); curl_setopt($h, CURLOPT_HEADER, false); curl_setopt($h, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1); $result = curl_exec($h); When I launch the page with the curl code in it, I get the form.php page contents but it doesn't not show the variables that PHP should have echo'd when the form is submitted. would appreciate any help with this. • Facebook iframe app redirecting https to http, how?

  I'm trying to get an app working within Facebook, but it seems that no matter what I try including forcing just https in the app settings (see screen shot), the iframe source (Facebooks canvas) seems to change the https address to http (301) which is then producing SEC7111: HTTPS security errors in IE?   I am using 2 images in a form to sort out query results from the database. The form is submitted using the POST method. When i click on the first image, the query results have to be sorted in ascending order, and when i click on the second, the results have to be sorted in the descending order. This is the code for the form: <form name="" action="" method="post"> <input type="hidden" name="typep" value="price" /> <input type="image" name="sort" value="asc" src="images/asc-ar.png" /> <input type="image" name="sort" value="desc" src="images/dsc-ar.png" /> </form> Now this is the code for checking if the $_REQUEST['sort'] variable is set and therefore whether sorting is required or not. if ($_REQUEST['sort'] != "") { $sort = $_REQUEST['sort']; $typep = $_REQUEST['typep']; //query to be executed depending on values of $sort and $typep } Firefox does detect the $_REQUEST['typep'] variable but not the $_REQUEST['sort'] one. This works perfectly in Chrome though. When i test the site in Firefox, it doesn't detect the $_REQUEST['sort'] variable and therefore the if condition evaluates to false and the search results don't get sorted.

  I am trying to send a multi part formdata post through my java code. Can someone tell me how to set Content Length in the following?? There seem to be headers involved when we use InputStreamBody which implements the ContentDescriptor interface. Doing a getContentLength on the InputStreamBody gives me -1 after i add the content. I subclassed it to give contentLength the length of my byte array but am not sure if other headers required by ContentDescriptor will be set for a proper POST. However, when I changed some field values and submitted the form. None of the changed fields were saved. The fields in the postbask collection have default or null values. I have another edit form which update another table. On submit, the changed values are saved. We have reviewed your application and have determined that it cannot be posted to the App Store at this time because it is not using the HTTP Live Streaming protocol to broadcast streaming video. HTTP Live Streaming is required when streaming video feeds over the cellular network, in order to have an optimal user experience and utilize cellular best practices. This protocol automatically determines bandwidth available to users and adjusts the bandwidth appropriately, even as bandwidth streams change. This allows you the flexibility to have as many streams as you like, as long as 64 kbps is set as the baseline feed. In my apps i have to stream prerecorded m4v and mp3 files from my server. I used MPMoviePlayerController to stream and play those videos / audio. How to implement the HTTP Live Streaming Protocol in my apps? Also can i get some sample code? Thanks in advance!

• WCF Http Bindings, Require SSL

  I have the following binding I'm using with my wsHttpBinding webservice. <binding name="wsHttpConfig"> <security> <transport clientCredentialType="None"/> </security> </binding> The issue is that it allows for the client to connect using either Http or Https. I would like to require them to use SSL. I tried adding the following: <system.web.extensions> <scripting> <webServices> <authenticationService enabled="true" requireSSL = "true"/> </webServices> </scripting> </system.web.extensions> But it had no effect; client could still connect with Http. I then tried checking the "Require SSL" in the IIS7 SSL Settings and had client certificates radio set to Accept. Now, when I try to view the service I am getting the error "Could not find a base address that matches scheme http for the endpoint with binding WSHttpBinding. Registered base address schemes are [https]." Anyone know exactly how to fix this error? I have been googling for the last 3 hours trying 500 different combinations (not 500, but too many to list) and could not get anything to run.

  Hello, I have been doing a lot of work with WCF "self" hosted applications. I recently was requested to write a web service where the calling client was a Linux based program named "WGET". I would like to use WCF instead of a traditional ASMX web service. The web service is returning a standard XML response. I am not sure of the underlining details between the two technologies but I know WCF is the proper route. I created a WCF service to be hosted in IIS ( using basicHttpBinding). 1.) Did classic ASMX web services ( standard HTTP POST/GET) use SOAP to return responses? I created an class from XSD for the web service response. What is really going on behind the scenes? Is there just special XML HTTP headers that know how to handle to response? Is the response not wrapped in SOAP? The traditional ASMX web service worked perfectly with the class I generated using the .Net "XSD" program. 2.) I want to use WCF for this service. Will using basicHttpBinding work? As I have read, that is the correct binding to use for ASMX clients. Does this use SOAP, standard HTTP headers, or something else? 3.) This is a dumb question because I have not done a lot of web service programming. I noticed on the ASMX default landing page there were examples for responses and code to invoke the functionality. When I create the same service using WCF, I had to create a client application to perform these tasks. Is there a way to expose the WCF endpoint like a classic ASMX service or is the WSDL the only route? As always, I really appreciate the feedback. Thanks, Brennan
