How to fetch a cpu status thought net-snmp

I want to fetch a device's cpu and memory status thought net-snmp. Hibernate many-to-many mapping not saved in pivot table

I having problems saving many to many relationships to a pivot table. The way the pojos are created is unfortunately a pretty long process which spans over a couple of different threads which work on the (to this point un-saved) object until it is finally persisted. I associate the related objects to one another right after they are created and when debugging I can see the List of related object populated with their respective objects. So basically all is fine to this point. Editing a Gridview row with drop-down lists gets too wide - how can I use popup panels instead?

I have a series of GridViews in a Tab Panel - databound to a generic List of Business Objects. The columns in the Gridview are all similar to the following: <asp:TemplateField HeaderText="Company" SortExpression="Company.ShortName"> <ItemTemplate> <asp:Label ID="lblCompany" runat="server" Text='<%# Bind("Company.ShortName") %>'></asp:Label> </ItemTemplate> <EditItemTemplate> <asp:DropDownList ID="ddlCompany" runat="server"></asp:DropDownList> </EditItemTemplate> </asp:TemplateField> The GridView generates the "Edit" link at the beginning of the row, all the events fire ok. The problem is that the data is getting long. When in 'display mode', it's fine because the GridView control is smart enough to break some text into multiple lines (in particular Project, Title and Worker names can get pretty long). The problem come in editing mode. Drop-down lists DON'T break entries into multiple lines (for obvious reasons). Going into Edit ode on a row in the Gridview can make the Griview expand horizontally to twice the screen size (blowing through the width limits in the Master page and CSS but that's only a related problem). What I need is something like the ModalPopup - but trying to tie it to an ID in an EditItemTemplate gives me errors when the page renders (because the 'ddlXXXX' doesn't exist at the time). In addition I don't know how to dynamically populate the panel so that I can get a response from it (like the ID of the Company they selected). I'm also trying to avoid javascript and would like this to be a 'pure' aspx/code-behind solution (for simplicity's sake among others). All the examples I find are of Modal Popups with the panels pre-defined. Even if it (the popup panel) were something like a list of checkboxes, it could be databound to the SortedList I have ready to go and an OK/Cancel button combination to accept or ignore things. I'm just not sure of what goes where. I'm open to suggestions. Thanks in advance. CSS box around box technique

Dear Experts, I was trying to make an CSS division box with content in it as well as a border around it. I tried everything. Setting up the Paddings of both boxes, margin, and messing around with the width. TO be honest, it took me around 30min to do this and I still can't get it right :( I know that a way to achieve the same result would be setting up a border around just one box. But I just wanna learn this box around box background-color technique. THanks in advance

java gui changing picture causes heapspace error

I have a java programme than when a button is clicked it updates the image on screen to the according image. this will work for the first 15 or so clicks then it causes a java heapspace error. I think it is because of the way I am updating the jpanel that contains the bufferedimage but not sure what the reason is. Thats why i save the Profesor object like this p - the manually loaded Profesor object Profesor p2 = (Profesor) session.merge(p); session.saveOrUpdate(p2); //flush session of course After this i get in the Java console: Hibernate: insert into devgar_scoala.grupe (Grupa, progStudii_id, id) values (?, ?, ?) but when i look into the database there are no new rows in the table Grupe (the Groups table)

Formatting Telerik Chart and Legend Labels in Silverlight

I am trying to format a column called 'Month' using the 3-character month abbreviation in my data grid which is bound to a bar chart. My grid and chart are based on this demo example: http://demos.telerik.com/silverlight/#Chart/Aggregates. Basically, the grid compiles data and summarizes by Year, Quarter, Month, and then some other categories as well. For the Month column, I tried two different methods (for sorting purposes, I have to use an integer or some date value for the month). First, I just made Month an integer field and then used a converter mapped in the xaml for the 'Month' field to display 'JAN', 'FEB', etc. This worked fine for the grid, but the chart would display 1, 2, etc. instead of the month abbreviation. I researched this and was not able to come up with a solution to map the converter to the chart. So, I tried making the Month field a datetime and then set the value to 1/1/1900, 2/1/1900, etc. and specified the format of the field to 'MMM' in the xaml for the grid. I then used the following statement to set the the format in the chart when the user grouped by month: SalesAnalysisChart.DefaultView.ChartArea.AxisX.DefaultLabelFormat = "MMM"; This partially worked in that when the months were displayed across the x-axis they were labeled properly, but not when they appeared in the legend (the user, of course, can group by any of the columns which may or may not include month). I've tried setting LegendItemLabelFormat, ItemLabelFormat, etc. but without success. I'm not sure of the element on which to set the property. I only need to change the default format for just the Month column - all other columns should display normally when grouped. I also came across a class called 'LegendItemFormatConverter' which looks promising but I can't find any examples as to how to implement it. I would actually prefer the converter method because the converter I wrote displays the month abbreviation in all caps, whereas the 'MMM' format displays in upper/lower case. Given a date range how to calculate the number of weekends partially or wholly within that range? (A few definitions as requested: take 'weekend' to mean Saturday and Sunday. The date range is inclusive i.e. the end date is part of the range 'wholly or partially' means that any part of the weekend falling within the date range means the whole weekend is counted.) To simplify I imagine you only actually need to know the duration and what day of the week the initial day is... I darn well now it's going to involve doing integer division by 7 and some logic to add 1 depending on the remainder but I can't quite work out what... extra points for answers in Python ;-) Edit Here's my final code. Weekends are Friday and Saturday (as we are counting nights stayed) and days are 0-indexed starting from Monday. I used onebyone's algorithm and Tom's code layout. I'm recording with SoX, and I want to make it not show output at all. When recording, it shows this output: Input File : 'default' (waveaudio) Channels : 2 Sample Rate : 48000 Precision : 16-bit Sample Encoding: 16-bit Signed Integer PCM In:0.00% 00:00:00.68 [00:00:00.00] Out:28.7k [ | ] Clip:0 I tried setting verbosity to 0, but it has no effect. (I'm guessing it's meant for messages other than this.) I don't just want to hide the output, which I could do easily; I want SoX to not generate it in the first place, for performance on a weak computer.

C++ Exception Handling

So I was writing some code and I noticed that apart from syntactical, type, and other compile-time errors, C++ does not throw any other exceptions. So I decided to test this out with a very trivial program: #include<iostream> int main() { std::count<<5/0<<std::endl; return 1 } When I compiled it using g++, g++ gave me a warning saying I was dividing by 0. But it still compiled the code. Then when I ran it, it printed some really large arbitrary number. When I want to know is, how does C++ deal with exceptions? Integer division by 0 should be a very trivial example of when an exception should be thrown and the program should terminate. Do I have to essentially enclose my entire program in a huge try block and then catch certain exceptions? I know in Python when an exception is thrown, the program will immediately terminate and print out the error. What does C++ do? Are there even runtime exceptions which stop execution and kill the program?

Installing ruby 1.9.1 on OS X with RVM, getting error I can't make sense of

I'm trying to update my ruby install on Leopard to at least 1.9.1. I found a tutorial that tells me how to do it with RVM and I get as far as downloading, configuring and compiling the version I want, but during the compile I get errors. SoX on Windows 7 64-Bit Outfile Missing

I have come across the strangest problem when trying to run sox.exe on my Windows 7 installation. Whenever I try and record audio it works without any issues but it will not output an audio file. The crazy thing is that when I use the play command it successfully plays what I just recorded. Has anyone ever heard of this happening? python crc32 woes

I'm writing a python program to extract data from the middle of a 6 GB bz2 file. A bzip2 file is made up of independently decryptable blocks of data, so I only need to find a block (they are delimited by magic bits), then create a temporary one-block bzip2 file from it in memory, and finally pass that to the bz2.decompress function. Easy, no? The bzip2 format has a crc32 checksum for the file at the end. No problem, binascii.crc32 to the rescue. But wait. The data to be checksummed does not necessarily end on a byte boundary, and the crc32 function operates on a whole number of bytes. My plan: use the binascii.crc32 function on all but the last byte, and then a function of my own to update the computed crc with the last 1-7 bits. But hours of coding and testing has left me bewildered, and my puzzlement can be boiled down to this question: how come crc32("\x00") is not 0x00000000? Shouldn't it be, according to the wikipedia article? You start with 0b00000000 and pad with 32 0's, then do polynomial division with 0x04C11DB7 until there are no ones left in the first 8 bits, which is immediately. Your last 32 bits is the checksum, and how can that not be all zeroes? I've searched google for answers and looked at the code of several crc32 implementations without finding any clue to why this is so.

Defend PHP; convince me it isn't horrible

I made a tongue-in-cheek comment in another question thread calling PHP a terrible language and it got down-voted like crazy. Apparently there are lots of people here who love PHP. So I'm genuinely curious. What am I missing? What makes PHP a good language? Here are my reasons for disliking it: PHP has inconsistent naming of built-in and library functions. Predictable naming patterns are important in any design. PHP has inconsistent parameter ordering of built-in functions, eg array_map vs. array_filter which is annoying in the simple cases and raises all sorts of unexpected behaviour or worse. The PHP developers constantly deprecate built-in functions and lower-level functionality. A good example is when they deprecated pass-by-reference for functions. This created a nightmare for anyone doing, say, function callbacks. A lack of consideration in redesign. The above deprecation eliminated the ability to, in many cases, provide default keyword values for functions. They fixed this in PHP 5, but they deprecated the pass-by-reference in PHP 4! Poor execution of name spaces (formerly no name spaces at all). Now that name spaces exist, what do we use as the dereference character? Backslash! The character used universally for escaping, even in PHP! Overly-broad implicit type conversion leads to bugs. I have no problem with implicit conversions of, say, float to integer or back again. But PHP (last I checked) will happily attempt to magically convert an array to an integer. Poor recursion performance. Recursion is a fundamentally important tool for writing in any language; it can make complex algorithms far simpler. Poor support is inexcusable. Functions are case insensitive. I have no idea what they were thinking on this one. A programming language is a way to specify behavior to both a computer and a reader of the code without ambiguity. Case insensitivity introduces much ambiguity. PHP encourages (practically requires) a coupling of processing with presentation. Yes, you can write PHP that doesn't do so, but it's actually easier to write code in the incorrect (from a sound design perspective) manner. PHP performance is abysmal without caching. Does anyone sell a commercial caching product for PHP? Oh, look, the designers of PHP do. Worst of all, PHP convinces people that designing web applications is easy. And it does indeed make much of the effort involved much easier. But the fact is, designing a web application that is both secure and efficient is a very difficult task. By convincing so many to take up programming, PHP has taught an entire subgroup of programmers bad habits and bad design. It's given them access to capabilities that they lack the understanding to use safely. This has led to PHP's reputation as being insecure. (However, I will readily admit that PHP is no more or less secure than any other web programming language.) What is it that I'm missing about PHP? I'm seeing an organically-grown, poorly-managed mess of a language that's spawning poor programmers. So convince me otherwise!

PHP strtotime without leap-years

With regards to this thread, I've developed a partial solution: function strtosecs($time,$now=null){ static $LEAPDIFF=86400; $time=strtotime($time,$now); return $time-((date('Y',$time)-1968)/4*$LEAPDIFF); } The function is supposed to get the number of seconds given a string without checking leap-years. It does this calculating the number of leap-years 1970 [(year-1986)/4], multiplying it by the difference in seconds between a leap-year and a normal year (which in the end, it's just the number of seconds in a day). Finally, I simply remove all those excess leap-year seconds from the calculated time. Here's some examples of the inputs/outputs: // test code echo strtosecs('+20 years',0).'=>'.(strtosecs('+20 years',0)/31536000); echo strtosecs('+1 years',0).'=>'.(strtosecs('+1 years',0)/31536000); // test output 630676800 => 19.998630136986 31471200 => 0.99794520547945 You will probably ask why am I doing a division on the output? It's to test it out; 31536000 is the number of seconds in a year, so that 19.99... should be 20 and 0.99... should be a 1. Sure, I could round it all and get "correct" answer, but I'm worried about the inaccuracies.

SQLite DB borked when opened on a different machine

Hello, I'm using SQLite to store some data. The primary database is on a NAS (Debian Lenny, 2.6.15, armv4l) since the NAS runs a script which updates the data every day. A typical "select * from tableX" looks like this: 2010-12-28|20|62.09|25170.0 2010-12-28|21|49.28|23305.7 2010-12-28|22|48.51|22051.1 2010-12-28|23|47.17|21809.9 When I copy the DB to my main computer (Mac OS X) and run the same SQL query, the output is: 2010-12-28|20|1.08115035175016e-160|25170.0 2010-12-28|21|2.39343503830763e-259|-9.25596535779558e+61 2010-12-28|22|-1.02951149572792e-86|1.90359837597183e+185 2010-12-28|23|-1.10707273937033e-234|-2.35343828462275e-185 The 3rd and 4th column have the type REAL. Interesting fact: When the numbers are integer (i.e. they end with ".0"), there is no difference between the two databases. In all other cases, the differences are ... hm ... surprising? I can't seem to find a pattern. If someone's got a clue - please share!

GroupLayout: JScrollPane in TextArea is not working

For the moment i have a problem with JScrollPanne, it's not able to scroll down (or up) when the text in textarea more than size of area. I have looked to some solutions, but all of them were for FlowLayot (GridLayout and BoxLayout), but not for GroupLayout. How to properly use the .each() command in jQuery

I have a script that checks the class (integer) of a , runs a switch statement to change that integer value to text and appends the text to another in the same listitem tag. I use the .each() function because each listitem starts with class=_[user ID] -- each user can have up to 5 entries.. Excel VBA Function runtime error 1004: Application-defined or object-defined error

I'm trying to learn functions for the purpose of simplifying and reusing code whenever necessary. I began by turning something I use pretty often into a function: Returning the integer value of the last non-blank row in a spreadsheet. Function FindLastDataLine(strColName As String) As Long FindLastDataLine = Range(strColName).Offset(Rows.Count - 1, 0).End(xlUp).Row End Function Sub PracticeMacro() intItemCount = FindLastDataLine("A:A") MsgBox ("There are " & intItemCount & " rows of data in column A.") End Sub When I run this I recieve the runtime error '1004' "Application-defined or object-defined error" which Help helpfully defines as "someone else's fault" to quote not quite verbatim. Where might I be going wrong?
