I found out recently that a user with an Android phone is using TouchDown to sync with his Exchange 2003 account. What's the best way of blocking this?
Basically, I want to do the same thing that Google Voice does. I forward my calls to a DID number that rings my Asterisk server via IAX2, which, if it detects the call has been forwarded, sends it to voicemail. Otherwise, if the call hasn't been forwarded (and somebody has dialed the DID number), it dials my phone number and tries to reach me.
tl;dr: how do I detect that a call has been forwarded to my asterisk box?
Hi.
I am using a Microsoft wireless phone ear piece and I have had the receiver plugged into the USB port on the Left Hand side. I have been getting intermittent success with the signal.
I have recently tried plugging it in to one of the ports on the top Right Hand side, and it seems that I am getting a better signal.
Is there a difference between the ports?
Thanks.
I find myself often visiting the Mail control panel for people I'm helping who use Outlook.
However, it never, ever shows up in the start menu for anyones computer:
Is there some magic string I can type in to get that menu item? I've tried all the obvious ones:
Mail
Mail (32-bit)
Mail 32 Bit
But to no avail. Normally I just go the long way, but with Windows 8 and Metro I'm concerned I'm going to get very frustrated trying to talk users through it over the phone.
Right now I'm forced to read all the tweets in a single client on a single device (TweetDeck on my Android phone).
If I would switch to another device and/or client, I would need to search for the last unread tweet, which is sometimes complicated (too many tweets).
So, the question:
Is there a client who can keep the status (read/unread) on tweets across multiple devices? My target systems would be now Android and MS Windows, but also Linux might be handy.
i would need to upgrade the firmware version of my Android Dev Phone(Google I/O Device) from 1.6 to 2.1? how to do that? the htc site has the packages radio, system and recovery images upto 1.6 only? where did i have know about this???
I'm trying to use Skype with Ubuntu Karmic and I just don't understand how to configure Pulseaudio properly. The previous version of Skype allowed me to talk through and hear the voice on my USB phone and the ringing sounds through my laptop speaker. I'm not able to do this with the new version (2.1.0.47).
I want to harvest some data like this http://www.newcardealers.ca/en/Dealers/List-A.aspx
And insert the name, address, phone number, email, etc. into a database. Is there some software I can use that will take a webpage, let me specify some regexes or something, and then spit out all the matched data in a CSV or some format easily insertable into a DB?
I'm using my Droid Incredible to tether and I'm using my library's WiFi and I swear I'm streaming faster than when I'm just connected to one. Am I really connected to both networks at the same time? How is this possible? Does my phone act as its own wireless adapter?
Hi,
I currently have a Nexus One with firmware 2.1.
Looks like 2.2 is out today?
How do I upgrade the firmware? Never done an upgrade to an Android phone before.
Thanks,
Tee
I have a few apps on my iPhone, and would like to sync them with iTunes without erasing them from my phone. Is this possible without downloading them all again?
Ive have the Nokia N900 mobile phone (running Maemo linux), and my device is really slow while using the wifi and trying to get stuff online (checking mail, loading pages). The webbrowsers itself (MicroB, Firefox, Opera) starts fast.
Yesterday ive tried to set the dns to googles but that did not solve the case.
Is there, and how do i check/verify my connection to the internet if im connected to my home wifi in linux? (tools, other then ping :D)
I've got an Avaya 4624 IP VoiP phone that I've ordered a power supply for, but it's still likely a week away, and I'd like to test now.
I can't find the power requirements anywhere. I was hoping someone reading this might have a power brick to these things and be able to give me the stats. Thanks!
I've been told that you can use a camera to look on the monitor and see whether there are some waves on the screen; that would be a way to check if the monitor is good or not. Is this true ?
I'm looking at my monitor with a mobile phone camera and I see some vertical waves going (if there is a white background)
My laptop (Acer Aspire 6930) has a hotkey to open the web browser. However, I just got Firefox and I was wondering how I can change the hotkey so that it opens Firefox instead of Internet Explorer.
I already contacted Acer...they told me to phone them (at cost), which I would rather avoid since it's such a trivial matter.
i am having nokia n900 mobile,i wanna install some voip connection in my phone but its not allowing to install voip software.am beginner in the software n all, can anybody guide me to activate voip connection in my mob
Within a minute of connecting to my remote Linux server through SSH, my session times out and I cannot contact the server until a few seconds have passed. Meanwhile, I'm connected to other servers without interruption. This is only happening when I establish connection from an hotel wireless AP. When I connect from my phone's Internet, the problem does not occur. Does anyone know what might be causing these unusual timeouts?
If i go out an buy a bluetooth headset - one typically used for a mobile phone - will i be able to pair and use it with my mac mini (for skype/gtalk conerencing)? Im running OS X 10.5 on a last gen intel mini.
Hello,
I have a nokia 5310 xpress music and my monitor won't turn on.
When I turn on the cell phone, I see some lights from the keyboard but the lcd doesn't turn on.
Is the lcd screen of my nokia broken or can it be another thing?
I have my phone set up so that when it takes photos, it sends them to file on my desktop. I would like to have a task run once a day that checks the folder and then
Creates a folder on the external drive with the day embedded (e.g. Photos-2012-10-08)
Move all the files from desktop folder to the newly created folder
How do you go about creating a script that the Windows Task Scheduler can use to accomplish that goal?
I have downloaded file which is in djvu format. I want to convert it to pdf or some other more common format, so I can read the document from other devices (e.g. my phone etc).
I found a conversion utility at Lizardtech, but when I converted the doc using the lizardtech software, every page had a watermark - which rendered the converted doc virtually useless.
Does anyone know where I can get a free conversion utility that does not watermark the converted doc?
Is there way to be able to type instead of speak during an iPhone call. For example when you text a landline (in the uk at least) the text message will be converted to speech. I would like to be able to do a similar thing in real time on my iPhone to another mobile. For example it would be useful for a mute person who can not speak to be able to "participate" in phone calls.
I am sure I am not the only one that asked this question.
we have a daily conf call that tanks place in a foreign country. too early to attend so I decided to use skype and record it automatically.
I use Task Scheduler
"c:\Program Files (x86)\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe"/callto:+XXXXXXXXXX,,,125
the dialer is supposed to dial the XX number and wait a few seconds (the ",") then dial the 125 access code.
Unfortunatly Skype doesnt accept the "," pause
Any solution ?
thank you
